If you were famous...

Ok I already checked the lounge, but I may have missed it so if need be just delete it. This topic is more or less what the topic says: if you were to be famous for one thing what would it be. This is more or less can also be what are your dreams and aspirations you want to accomplish in life.

I just thought of this thread a while ago because of one of my friends nagging at me. What happened was a week ago I was at work serving a huge professional banquet hall with doctors and politicians yadda yadda. Then this photographer/video camera guy comes up to me because he said I looked familiar. After trying to get this guy to leave me alone because I had NO clue who he was, he started to talk to one of my supervisors so I knew he was no wacko. He then later hands me his business card and a magazine he has out after I'm done my shift, and he asks me if I would like to become a model or at least do some photo shoots for a magazine or advertisement. I told him I woudl think about it, but I already knew I wouldn't do it. I then tell my friend afterwards and she gets mad at me for it. She told me to at least try it out because I was being selfish if I didn't...how don't ask me. She claimed that there are a lot of people that spend so much time and effort to become a model and will never be one, then I do nothing but stand there and get the chance to become one. I still have no intentions on phoning back.

I told her at the end that if I was to become famous for something, or to be known for something I would wish it to be making a difference in the world. More or less everyone wishes the same thing, but if I could make the slightest difference it would make me content.

So basically that is what I aspirations are, I was just wondering what some other people's are and how you came about with it.

I would want to be famous for writing a great Star Wars book, and then writing some other Sc-Fi books as well. I really like Star Wars, and I really like to write.

Now if that wouldn't work. I would want to be famous for making a breakthrough in economics, or solve the Riemann Hypothesis.

if I were to become famous and I had the chance... I wouldn't do it, you know why, that much attention would kill me, and all the things people would make up about you in the news, that would just be living hell for me.
Otherwise, I would probally want to invent something that would end up going horribely wrong. Oo then I would be famous that way, which would suck. Lmao.

Those are the ways I would want to be remembered for. Most likely, I will be remembered for making a huge mistake and probably destroying something of great value and importance.[/color]

Unlike most people, I do not aspire for fame and fortune. If I could build a secluded house not too far off from a city, town, or whatever and live there contently, that would be the greatest thing. Of course, I would need feed food and other such necessities, which is why I prefer some proximity to the rest of the world. I would also have to pick up a worthwhile hobby that could sell, so that I could bring in enough money to get what I need. In reference to Sara's quote:

I am in much agreement with that.

I just want to be 'disconnected'. The kind of life where, if I were to go shopping for whatever provisions, I would probably have to use the words "I am going into town."

While my true dream is to be a voice actor, they're neither famous enough to be mobbed or to even get a good dinner table. So for fame, I'm thinking live-action Hollywood movies and television series! Oh yeah.

My other dream is to create a hit television series (you know, one that lasts more than 2 seasons). The only problem with that is how quickly producers gain and lose money. (They say a producer is always broke).

Actress: I've always loved trying out for school plays, and at home, I'm always printing out a script from another movie, and reading the parts. Ookay, so my chances of getting famous as an actress sucks, but you can always dream. ^_^

I'd want to be a dictator of some kind. Maybe the supreme dictator of the world. I'd have loose taxes, more liberal laws, and the only thing that would be illegal is to curse my name in public speech, other than quoting. I would install a semi-socialism pattern of govenment, and you could take one thing from a store a month like Walmart [reason being is because I want to do that with SOCOM and Battlefield 1942]. "Crimes" such as statutory rape will be abolished, for if someone says 'yes', that is their choice and their's alone.

Murder will be taken seriously, as well as severe physical harm. Eye for an eye will be enstated for such matters, and discrimination against races will be illegal, with offenders thrown into a room of the race they discriminate about.

There will be no waiting periods for executions. You will be drug out back of the court house after conviction and brought before a firing squad.

Every home in the world will be the same, unless the household puts money out of it's own pocket. Money will be produced by the day, and quite a lot of it in that day. Each household will get 100 dollars every two weeks per child, up until the time they have a job, simply because I know the hardships of not having cash.

Request forms for such things as car repairs and house repairs will be sent to local area court houses if in dire need of assistance. Areas that are not used for farming and cattle ranching will be urbanized, with the exception of preservations. After cutting down trees in areas like the Amazon, companies must plant trees on the far side of the forest where they cut first.

If I can make it to the big screen, that'd be even cooler. I'd totally revamp it. Add a bucketload of special effects; get some professional actors and decent props; and just spend so much on it all ^_^
