Zerosaber
This thread is going to be about FF 7-10 and what you the people think are the best in the order of what you think is the best to the least from the games 7 through 10. Also you need to give an explanation for your order. I'll do mine. 1. Final Fantasy 7 The game I think was the best of the Four. It had bad graphics but its storyline and play was amazing 2. Final Fantasy 9 I thought this game was the second best of the four . It had okay graphics , but the reason I liked it because the game went back to its roots on the gameplay system and like 7 had a great storyline 3. Final fantasy 10 I thought this game was 3rd best. I really didn't get hooked on it . It had good graphics and all but the storyline paled in comparison to 7 I believe 4. Final fantasy 8 I really didn't like this final fantasy game. The play was complicated but the story was Ok. Just rememberthis is my opinion. Hope you guys like this thread
GinnyLyn
As far as enjoyment factor goes, I'd prolly say the same as you, just tying 9 and 10 for 2nd.
Domon
*Falls over laughing while pointing at ZeroSaber* I told you, FFX IS one of the better games!! I'd have to say though i'd have to put 9 in last place, it was too cartoony, not from the experience i had with 7 and 8, those two you really got to know the characters, when Sephiroth killed Aeris i about passed out, i mean, here you are working this character up to a decent level and then POOF! She's dead! I mean i just about bawled. But with 8 you first had a resentment towards Squall because of his attitude but then you find out that he is so hostile so he can protect his feelings and then he finally gets rid of that attitude when he falls head over heels on Rinoa. But with 10, that was a work of art! I'd have to give it ranking NUMBER 1!! It had the great story line, great characters and you really felt like you were in the game, plus some of the chars were funny as hell, especially when Tidus did something totally corny and you practically fell out of your chair laughing, that to me makes a great game. RicoTranzrig
These are all the FF games I've played so far. In terms of an interesting storyline, I love FF6 because it's the second RPG that I've played and the game takes you everywhere with branching stories and no true main character. FF9 would be my second choice because it's the most refined FF game for the PSone, everything was neatly well done and very classy change from 7 and 8. If I still had it, FF4 gripped me with it's dark storyline and strange actions of the hero, Cecil, accompanied with some of the best music compositions a FF game has to offer. FF7 is good because it played on the idea of a futuristic setting, even though much of the world isn't. The story was gripping, but some parts were confusing for me. FF10 is very linear and some of the components are annoying, like you can't skip scenes if you die and have to repeat it over again. But that didn't stop me from enjoying the game that has many memorable quotes and themes to offer, not to mention the excellent eye candy. FF8 had to go on the bottom of my list because the story jumped a lot and the junction system had a learning curve more difficult than the previous FF's I've played. Although I had a nice time playing it so it's definitely a good game. But I feel it's getting more credit than it actually deserves.
Zerosaber
I have started playing Final Fantasy games since 7 although I did play the one game ( i think 6 ) with the Final Fantasy series so Mitch sorry only doing 7-10 those are the I know * throws angry attack monkey named Monk-Monk at Domon* A bunch of people I know say that 9 was too kiddy but the story was great , the gameplay classic , and the sidequests were just plain fun. So what if the graphics were to kiddish look beyond them and there is a really great game.
Domon
*Sics his Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon at Zerosaber* psh, whatever. I'm saying the game was too cartoony, yeah it was expansive and a great game but still i didn't get to know the characters that well, i mean you hardly got any information on any of the blasted characters until the third friggin disc! And then the background info was poorly put together, i mean the background on Dagger was just piss poor. It barely even touched base on her life. I mean yes the game was good and all its just that not much thought went into this game. Now on the other hand for 10 you got a lot of attatchment to the characters. Guest Zeh
it'd take forever to put ALL the final fantasy's in a list... Final Fantasy X If you have the time, willing to spend getting deep into this game, it could possibly be one of your favorites. I like other games outside of FF before it, but still.... wow. Final Fantasy VII Classic! Perfect death scene with Aeris. Best graphics at the time, or atleast really good at the time. It's not my personal favorite, i think it's really over-rated, but still, one of the coolest games anyone could get their hands onto, at the time. Final Fantasy IX OK game, OK graphics, story wasn't all that bad. Horible for a first time final fantasy fan, it'd definately turn you off the series. Final Fantasy VIII This game doesn't deserve to be on my list.

Guest Zeh
Since i've played almost all of them, (2+3 haven't been released) i'd have dificulty putting them in any order, so many of them were such great games. FFT is still my fav...
Semjaza
For me: FF4>>>>FF5>FFT>FF6>FF2>FF3>FFX>FF7>FF9>FF>>>>>>>>FF8 Final Fantasy 4 is the series best game, and I don't think anything since then has compared... Especially the melodramatic sap fests that were FF6 and on. I didn't bother including Mystic Quest as it's not really part of the series or FF11 and 12, as of course no one here has played them. All the Gameboy FF games aren't even from the FF series and are really SaGa and Seiken Densetsu games.
