[b]Well, it's about 50 degrees today here in Milwaukee. Yes, that is a heat wave in the middle of February. I stepped outside today after school, and all I could think of was "mmm... summmmmmmmmmer..."

Yeah, I realized just how much last summer rocked, and just how much cold cold winters suck. Like this one. I for one hope this weather sicks around for a while. And I'm dying for some summerlicious, er, um... stuff.

Yep. Who else is waiting for summer and/or warmer weather?

Heh, I had a similar feeling today. It was a pretty nice day out. If it was not for snow still lingering around one could almost be convinced it was spring. It just reminds me of summer vacations in general. I am nearing the end of my junior year in high school. So I am pretty much done with education unless I decide on a college of some kind. Once/If the school counselors and I get some class credit stuff worked out (I am missing some that I should not be) I should have the required credits to graduate. I just do not have all of my required classes taken. I believe all I really need is two semsters of English and two semsters of some kind of Social Studies class. The whole situation just reminds me of eighth grade, but on a larger scale. Eighth grade was fun. ^^ Graduation owned.

It is just fun to think about. After high school, there is nothing really there to expect. It is not like I am going to "Even Higher School". Just kind of stepping out into nowhere; free to make my own choices.

:whoops:

So that is what has been on my mind with this weather.

I woke up today and put on my hooded sweatshirt and coat and hat and went outside... And it was really weird at first. When the hell did it get so warm out? I wound up having to wear totally different clothes.

I wish the weather was always like this; 45 to 55 degrees is perfect weather in my opinion.

[b]Oh yeah? You Califonrians. Try spending a winter here in Wisconsin. Puts hair on yer chest every time you walk outside. Heh. :)

Yep, I too waltzed outside in my heavy coat, a scarf, and a sweatshirt this morning. The only difference is that it was like, below freezing this morning. That's the thing about Wisconsin. The temp can change with a snap of the fingers. Oiy.

I recently realized how unwilling I'd be to live any further north that here in mideast Alabama. It gets cold enough down here that I can barely walk outside without a jacket, so I came to the conclusion that I'm a Southerner tried and true, and I can't live anywhere else.

I would have to agree with both of you. Today was gorgeous. Although you know it's all due to global warming and those damn Nuclear tests that were done a while ago. But that's another thread all together. It's still not bad outside. Even now at 8:30 pm. Just got back from work. The weather is good, untill you get wet. *Looks at water sprayers menacingly* -__-

Hehe, I remember days like that ^_^.

I was so happy that it was sunny yesterday for my brother's funeral, sun is super rare at this time of the year in Michigan.

And it WAS nice today, but since I've been in 65° weather all winter in California, I don't feel the same relief at the warmness as I used to when I lived in Michigan. But, ahh, I remember what it was like when it first started to get warm in the spring. It was the nicest thing ever...spring even has its own distinctive smell. Mmm.

I knew I shouldn't have slept til 6:30 pm. I missed it all! But I was exhausted.

Then again, it's never warm enough for me until I can go swimming. I'm a huge river rat & can't wait til I can go back to Belle's Island! Maybe I'll get an indoor pool membership or something.

Meh, I wouldn't have gone anywhere today, anyway.

Heh. 50 degrees = COLD in Oklahoma, where the normal temperature during summer is about 110 degrees. ^_^

There's a common quote in Oklahoma, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute." thus saying that Oklahoma weather changes in a snap.

Which it does. Isn't living in the middle of the US just so fun?

I had a warm day like that a couple days back. I had walked out bundled up in my coat, ready for another day of my hair freezing because I haven't gotten it dried fully (what fun), and find that it's actually pleasant outside. Yay me.

By the time school ended (2:50), it was about 70-80 degrees outside. Ah, nice and warm.

Then, the next day, it snowed. Yes, we had a nice spring day the day before that, and then it was snowing.

And have I mentioned that I detest cold weather? The closer I live to the equator, the happier I am. ^_^

I am so looking forward to summer.

It really blows here. Texas weather is probably the worst in the world. It can seriously go from being 71 degrees one day to 30 degrees the next. It happened a few weeks ago. Summer can get up to 110+ degrees, and the weathermen dont help by counting down the days to our 1st 100 degree day. Its humid, and if you have asthma or any type of respiratory illness, youre screwed here. Trust Me I know.

I too stepped out of school and enjoyed the nice weather. ^_^ Though 40 degrees would seem cold to some, even me(being born in AZ and all)it was still a nice change compaired to the freezing 15 degrees.:cross: I knew it would be nice though. I was so hot in every class, usually its so cold in my school so it was pretty strange. This weekend we're suppose to get yet another snow storm.:bawl: Bring on the warmth!!!

I am from Georgia, its mostly hot down here, but my mom's family lives in Wisconsin, so I've been up there for a couple of winters for Christmas. I think its pretty fun...I love cold weather AND snow...went outside the house I was stayin at up there with short sleeves, to my cousins I am now officially insane.

*shifty* Trade me places, Rae. Right now in Oklahoma, the temperature is 13 degrees, but there's a windchill of -1. I'M FREEZING MY ARSE OFF. If I EVER get out of Oklahoma, I'm moving as close to the Equator as I can get.

Yep, I'm like a birdie. Fly south for the winter! Death to cold weather! Being right in the center of the US SUCKS. Give me spring, give me summer! I want my braces off, dangit!

*grumbles* Stupid Oklahoma, with it's stupid extreme weather, and it's stupid winter . . .

Heh, I just got done being outside, and saw this thread.

Texas got hit by a MAJOR (and I do mean MAJOR, for Texas, anyway) ice storm last night. There is two inches of imitation snow ice (ice that looks like snow but is ice) all over the place. I took pictures today but it'll be a week or so before they are developed. Fortunately, my managers had sense enough to let me stay home. No one's going anywhere in this kind of weather.
