Shayleigh sighed with relief. If Talia went with Caytin then she would have both out of her hair and she wouldn't have to offend them at the same time by asking them to leave.

She saw Talia consider it, her face showing no emotion. Talia considered it for such a long time that Shayleigh thought she was going to refuse.

Talia-"I suppose I can come seeing as I have nothing else to do and I am not welcome here"

Shayleigh blushed and turned away from the two Fallen. She felt as though they blamed her for everything as well they should. It was her that judged them without letting them explain themselves.

Shayleigh-"I don't mind if you stay...you're not hurting anything of the forest or its inhabitants so technically you are allowed to stay."

OOC: Just as a sidenote, this is not the same forest mentioned above. I'm nowhere near anyone else at this time, so don't "accidently" run into me.

IC: Rali alighted easily, splaying all four arms, in some hideous net, and catching the inner branches of a huge, twisted oak tree. Unlike most trees of their genus, the ones in this forest were not majestic giants. They were large, certainly, but they gave off a feeling of decay, of withered roots and gnarled hearts.

Rali swung upwards, and arranged himself easily on one limb, more than a foot wide at the base. He looked around the forest, what he could see through the leaves anyway, and found almost no signs of human habitation. A scraped tree, a beaten path through the underbrush, too obvious to be animal.

His vision refocused onto the leaves in front of him, and he gave a start. They were rotting. Still on the tree, yet eaten away by festering decay.

He leapt down, eyeing the trees around him warily. If there was some bizarre disease afflicting this forest, any of those huge masses of wood could collapse at any time.

He stalked deeper inside the enveloping swath of trees, fairly certain that whatever was up, it was bound to be more interesting than walking somewhere else.

OOC: Don't worry I wasn't planning on accidently bumping into you.

Shayleigh saw that Talia consitered her words carefully. She frowned and looked from Shayleigh to Caytin. Then she sighed and made her decision.
Talia-"I will go with Caytin. I don't think all of your elves will like me staying here."

Shayleigh nodded and respected Talia decision. She knew as well that her race would not be pleased with a Fallen near the forest. Talia and Caytin started to turn and leave when a frightened elfmaid burst through the foliage gasping for breath. It was one of the elves that was on patrol with Shayleigh before she had gotten in all this mess.

Elfmaid-"Commander!...There are...Fallen...near the forest...Burning forest.
The elfmaid then turned and saw the two Fallen behind Shayleigh. She nearly fainted with fear.

Shayleigh-"Do not worry about these two. They are not hurting anything. Now catch your breath and tell me your message again slowly."

The elfmaid stood for a couple of minutes trying to glup down as much air as she could then she continued.
Elfmaid-"Some Fallen have been sighted near the outside of the forest. There are setting fire to our forest!"

Shayleigh sighed. She knew that this would happen one time or another but she hadn't expected it so soon. She looked over at the Fallen who stood apart from her and the other elf. Caytin seemed to know what she was thinking.
Caytin-"We had nothing to do with this. We are as just surprise as you are."

In the clearing, he was greeted by a Fallen that he was once allied to. The Fallen one had Valen's crossbow in his right hand. Valen glared at the Fallen as he bagn to speak.

Valen: What are you doing here?

Fallen: I have come to get you. It is our time to shine once again!

With that, the Fallen tossed Valen the crossbow, in hopes that Valen would join him.

Valen: No. We are not allied anymore. Nice to see you again, but now you die.

Fallen: Really now? You are in no position to fight. Look around you.

Valen looked around him at the burning forest. This was no time to fight.

Valen: Why have you done this?

Fallen: Goddess' wishes.

Valen: When we get out of this forest, you are dead.

Fallen: You're not going anywhere. You betrayed the Goddess once, and now you will die again for what you have done.

Valen: Heh. Come get me.

Valen fled through the fire, followed by the fallen. They both ran through the elven villiage and to the outskirts of the forest.

Just my luck. Those stupid bafoons have to appear everywere I go! God, don't they take a break?

Talia shook her head. This always ruins her chance to get along with others.

Perhape's it is best if I leave now before they decide to listen to suspision rather than to reason.

OOC- Sorry my post is so short. I've got limited time on today.

caytin looked at talia and sighed.

caytin: lets leave before we're blamed for something thoses idiots do.

talia nodded. they turned as caytin put on her illusion. she handed talia a cloak.

Caytin: put it on. we don't want to attract the others attention.

talia: ok.

she put it on so that i covered her wings. caytin stopped and smacked her forehead.

caytin: oh man!

talia: what?

caytin: i left my dagger up in the tree. meet me by the lake, i'll be right back.

caytin jumped into the trees and raced along the branches back to where they left the elves.

Shayleigh watched the two Fallen leave off to safety. Of course they can go to safety while I have to watch my home, my only home go up in flames, Shayleigh shook with rage. No, no its not their fault. They have a right to go to safety. Its not their home.

Shayleigh-"I'll go to the part of the forest the Fallen are burning. You, Rue, will go to the other commanders and tell them of the danger. Tell them I will meet them there. I'll need all the help I can get."

The elfmaid nodded and ran back into the forest as fast as she could. Shayleigh concentrated and her wings broke through her back. She took flight and seached thoughout the forest for the fire. She spotted it not far off in the distance.

She landed not far away and saw the Fallen moving farther into the forest. Shayleigh felt a rage build within her and fire burned in her eyes. She wouldn't let the Fallen ruin her only home. She'd stop them even if she died herself!

Caytin landed in the tree and grabed her daggers, in the corner of her eye she saw her elf like friend running after the group of fallen. she growled and jumped into the sky and flew to the lake. (it's faster that way.) She landed at the lake and met talia.

Caytin: the fallen group are moving towards us. be on your guard. do you need weapons?

taliia: yes.

caytin: quickly.

then flew to her window and opened the window. she flew in and grabed her extra sword and handed it to talia.

Caytin : go back to the lake. our elf friend is going to need some help. plus we have some drafting to do.

Talia decided not to argue with the comand for a change and left before Caytin could finish her sentance.
She ran towards the flame's and soon spotted the elf. It seemed like a small battle had just begun. Talia dove head first into the battle.
To her shame she liked fighting (mainly hurting others). It felt much better than lyeing around. Though she thought these feeling's were best left hidden and hid all emotion from her face.

The cloak slid off her black wings as she charged to Shayleigh aid. The other fallen paused for a second and looked at Talia in confusion. It's not everyday that one of their own people are on the side of an Angel. Most would rather be dead...

Shayleigh looked off to the side to see Talia running to her aide with Caytin not far behind. She smiled.
Shayleigh-"I'm glad that you could come. I could use a little help.

Talia paused. She had never heard of any non-angel or even an angel say that they were glad to see her. She looked back to see that the Fallen had regained their senses and where now steadly advancing on them.
Talia-"There's no time for pleasentries we've got a fight to win."

Shayleigh grinned and nodded. She pulled her short sword from her scabbard and started to advance with the two Fallen at her side. A Fallen from the other side suddenly ran at her with surprising speed.

Shayleigh readied her sword and waited for the Fallen. Their swords clashed and sparks flew everywhere. Before Shayleigh even had time to react the Fallen had moved his sword which was now aiming at one of her legs. She managed to move her sword just fast enough to catch the sword before it struck.

Shayleigh groaned. Even though she had deflected the blow it was painfully obvious that the Fallen was the stronger. This was going to be a hard battle to win.

caytin flew high in the sky, looking down upon the battle. she was scanning the fallen. where is he? then she heard wings flap behind her as she turned and deflected the on coming blow.

caytin: hello kris.

Kris: long time no see.

He went fro another attacked which caytin parried.

Caytin: what are you doing on my grounds?

kris: doing exactly what you should've done before.

caytin: kris, i told you, i don't follow orders given by cocky fallen. plus, did you get the message?

kris stopped fighting and put his sword away. he looked at her and smiled.

Kris: i knew you wouldn't leave us.

caytin: be hind every good man, is a strong woman, and you seem to be missing her. it's time, are you ready?

kris nodded and gave a signal and all the fallen stopped fighting and put their weapons away as kris and caytin flew down together and landed infront of her friends.

Shayleigh was just about to lanch another attack at the Fallen when he shealth his sword. She looked over to Caytin and one of the other Fallen land on the soft grass. So she is on the side of the Fallen! Shayleigh thought in her head. And now she's going to give the forest to them!

Shayleigh breathed deeply. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Caytin stopped them so they wouldn't destroy the forest. Maybe...

caytin put her hand on kris' chest telling him to wait as she walked over to Shayleigh.

caytin: i've stopped them, but with a concenqunce for their leader and me. Their punishment is to be under my command.

talia: and yours?

caytin: that will come later, now lets get some rest. it's going to be a long day tommorrow.

Shayleigh looked at the Fallen unsure of what to do. She sighed. I guess I'm going to have to trust Caytin. I've trusted her this long, hopefully my intuition is right.
Shayleigh-"Aren't they going to leave then?"

Caytin shrugged.
Caytin-"Its up to them.

Shayleigh sighed again and sat on the soft grass cross-legged. She sat there for a while and the Fallen began to wonder what she was doing.

Talia-"Why are you just sitting there?"

Shayleigh woke up with a jerk at the question.
Shayleigh-"If you must know I was sleeping."

caytin turned to the other fallen, she whistled for their attention.

Caytin: ok, listen you brainless birds! you're under my command now. my name is caytin. remebr that name, call me by anything else and you'll be in trouble. (pauses) now put you weapons away and get some sleep. training starts at dawn.

the fallen obeyed and all started to lay down. With that she walked to kris and glared at him.

Kris: what?

caytin: be careful around here, most inhabatants here aren't going to be thrilled to see you.

kris: yeah. so?

caytin: i'm not going to save you again kristohper, just because we were close back then, means nothing now.

kris: same goes for you.

caytin nodded and climbed a tree to rest in.

Talia stood and watched as everyone settled down. She felt uncomfortable and unsure.

What am I supposed to do? Should I hang around here or should I leave?

Talia Shuffled her feet trying to decide on what to do. Her first impression wasn't the best...
Finnally decideing, she flew a little bit away from the others and settled back in the tall tree that the angel had first spotted her in. From here she had a clear veiw of the group. She leaned back on the tree and closed her eye's deciding that she too would get some rest.

Shayleigh woke up to the sound of booted feet moving softly across the ground. She turned aroudn to see a score or more elves come bursting through the forest. They looked from Shayleigh on the ground to the Fallen fast asleep either in trees or on the ground.

Rue, the elfmaid she had sent to warn and bring reinforcements, stepped up to Shayleigh carefully.
Rue-"Are...are you okay commander?"

Shayleigh-"Yes yes I'm fine Rue. It seems that the Fallen have come to an agreement. I do not know what but let us hope it does not envolve destroying our forest."

Rue looked at her scieptically as did the other elves with her.
Rue-"Are you sure we can trust them?"

Shayleigh-"Let us hope and pray."

OOC: Oops, man am I late...
IC:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rosetta wandered about this strange world, seeing no one but a few fallen angels. She flew over the forest and decided to land. She was not too far from Caytin, Talia, and Kris.
Rosetta: Hello? Is anyone here? Well, I guess I'm all alone here...
Rosetta walks through the forest. Before long, Talia sees her.
Talia: :eek: Who are you?
Rosetta: Geez, what are you so frightened about?
Talia: Nothing... just deciding whether to stay or leave...
Rosetta: Where are you planning to go?
They finally introduce themselves. However, Talia quickly leaves, apparently heading back towards the group.
Rosetta: What is going on here?
Rosetta flies over the forest, eventually coming to an area of the forest that looks burned. Near it is a village. Rosetta ignores it and leaves the forest, coming to a mountain. She lands on top of it.
Meanwhile, something comes her way. It's a Fallen!
Fallen: What are you doing here? This is Fallen property!
Rosetta: Er... what exactly do you mean by "fallen?"
Fallen: The dark angels! I'm one! This is my property, don't you get it?
Rosetta: OK, I'll leave...
Fallen: Hold on a second, I'm not done with you... all citizens of this planet must be destroyed!
Rosetta: But I'm... not... a... citizen... of...
Fallen: Nice try. What are you, an elf with wings?
Rosetta: Ummm... not exactly...
As soon as Rosetta tries to leave, the Fallen forms a ring of fire around the mountain.
Rosetta: Do you think fire's gonna stop me?
Rosetta flies right through the fire, not even getting burned the slightest bit. She leaves the mountain and flies over the sea. Flying as fast as she can without looking back, she eventually reaches the other side and falls, not onto land, but into water that feels strangely warmer than usual...
When Rosetta finally gets up, she finds herself surrounded by warm, red liquid. She swim upward with her eyes closed, finally escaping. She lands on what feels like a big rock.
When Rosetta opens her eyes, she finds herself sitting on a cliff. She turns around to find herself at the top of a volcano! On the other side of it is the Fallen, laughing to himself.
Fallen: Hee hee hee! Who would be stupid enough to jump into that lava? Well, at least she's dead, and that's all that counts!
Rosetta: (to herself) So that's what happened... Hmph, I'm not dead! *gasp* I gotta get out of here!
Rosetta jumps off the volcano and lands in the desert. She thinks, "Great, no place to hide." Still, she is in the desert, a place similar to her home. She sits down, exhausted, praying that the Fallen will not find her.
Shayleigh watched as the Fallen named Kris went to wake up the other Fallen. The elves that had come to help Shayleigh had all gone back to their homes in the forest, they trusted that Shayleigh had things under control.
Shayleigh got up from her spot and walked over to where Caytin resided. Caytin looked up from her flute playing when she was close.
Shayleigh-"Now are you going to tell us what you have planned?"
Caytin-"We will have to wait until they all get here. They need to hear as well."
Shayleigh-"More waiting. Great, that's all I need."
shayleigh: who's that?
caytin: don't know, but he's looking for something. stay here, i'm going o check this out.
shayleigh: right.
caytin flew off and went to the smoking mountian/volcano.
The Fallen that was chasing Valen had caught up to him by now. The fallen drew his sword and charged toward Valen even faster than before. Valen leapt as the Fallen ran under him, stopping just inches in front of a mighty oak tree.
Valen: Running with swords is dangerous, you know.
He laughed as he landed behind the Fallen while drawing his katana. The Fallen had heard him and turned to see a crimson blade coming down on him. The Fallen's reactions were just fast enough to block the slash coming down upon him. The two continued to duel. One slashing, the other either evading or blocking.
This went on for about an hour, then there was a loud explosion back in the forest. They both stopped and looked back at the forest. They sheathed their weapons.
Valen: We'll finish this later, agreed?
Fallen: Agreed. Too bad you aren't with us anymore. You could do a lot of damage you know...
Valen: Yeah well, no changing that. Let's just get out of here before we're blamed for this.
Fallen: Yeah really.
They both ran as fast as they could, completely forgetting that they could fly.
Rosetta ran off into the desert until she was out of sight. She came to a spot where the sand was blue. A sort of star-shaped thingy was drawn in the sand. She looked at it with confusion.
Meanwhile, the Fallen flew away, almost forgetting about Rosetta. He muttered something to himself, which sounded like a curse...
Rosetta stared at the starlike shape for a long time. Suddenly, a cloud of dut emerged from it, followed by a bolt of lightning. Something glittery appeared out of it.
???: Well well... I never thought we would get any foreigners on this planet... Especially when this planet is near destruction... Sad, isn't it?
Rosetta: This may seem like a predictable question, but who are you?
???: Ah, yes, predictable is right. I see you have been in contact with my servant, am I right?
Rosetta: Ummm...
???: Well, you must be. Anyway, seeing that you know nothing about what is to come, the Fallen are going to destroy the world if something isn't done...
Rosetta: What can be done?
???: Nothing, I'm afraid. *sigh* Fallen...
Rosetta: OK... who are you?
???: ...You don't know?
The mysterious figure shows herself.
Rosetta: Talia told me about you! You're... you're...
Rosetta was face-to-face with Luthien.
Rosetta: But...but... how...
Luthien: *sigh* At this point I can do nothing to help. Those silly angels are about to destroy Earth and there's nothing I can do about it...
Rosetta: Heh. Some angels they are. :twitch:
Luthien: I know. *sigh* I don't know how you found me out here, but...
Rosetta: What are you doing here? You were supposed to be in the...
Luthien: The Fallen have almost found me up there, so I temporarily moved down here, and I plan to stay here until the world is at peace...
Rosetta: OK...
Luthien: Before you go, I want you to do me a favor... Please, don't tell anyone that I'm here, OK?
Rosetta: What do you think I am, a Fallen? Sure I won't!
Luthien: Good.
Luthien disappears. Rosetta stands there for a while, still amazed.
Rosetta: (to herself) How in the world did I come face-to-face with an air goddess? It's...
A voice speaks out to her; it sounds like Neondra, her father.
Neondra: ...Possible.
Rosetta: Dad? Are you there? Well, I thought... that only angels and gods can even see gods in real life...
Neondra: That's pretty much true, but... *sigh* Rosetta, have you forgotten that you are one of the creators of La-La Land?
Rosetta: Why... of course not!
Neondra: Then it all makes sense, doesn't it? You are divine in your own ways, but you're still born from a mortal! :laugh:
Rosetta: I have almost no clue what you're saying, but I think you're trying to tell me... wait... Hello? Dad? Where are you?
The voice vanishes. Rosetta is alons again.
Rosetta: Dad? Uh... (to herself) Huh. I just can't see how someone can be half goddess and half mortal... It's just not possible!
caytin hovered over the valconoe. she seemed to have lost track of the fallen that she was following. she saw that away from the forest was a desert area she saw someone there and used her illusion to look like a little girl as she landed there. she made a confused face and walked over to what seemed to be another half and half. she purposly stumbled and fell down right behind her.
caytin: ouch.
the girl turned around and helped her up.
???: what are you doing out here.
caytin: i got lost while exploring.
she quickly got up and quickly bowed.
caytin: um sorry. my name is.... is kira.
??: my name is rosetta.
Caytin: thank-you ms. rosetta.
rosetta: don't worry about it little kira, just get home safly.
caytin nodded and quickly ran off. she quickly ran over the mountian side and pulled down her illusion. she went down to meet Shayleigh and pulled her over as she saw all the fallen lined up and ready for instruction.
caytin: we might have a problem, but i know if i went to her in my normal form she wouldn't trust me.
Shayleigh: what? what's going on?
caytin: go over the mountian side and you'll see someone waiting on the other side for something. she'll trust you, i know it.
shayleigh: if your wrong.
caytin: just trust me, now go.
shayleigh flew off as caytin walked over to the group of fallen.
caytin: today we shall do cross-country race. the winner gets to take off early and explore.
fallen: that should be easy.
caytin: no wings, no powers, no nothing but your feet. if you use any of you abilities, you will be doing guppie work. now go. first one to go around the primeter of the forest wins.
the fallen ran off. caytin goes up to kris and sighs.
caytin: they won't listen to me for long.
kris: i know, so work them hard now.
caytin: right.
Shayleigh flew over the mountain and saw what Caytin had refurred to. She looked like an elf though with wings. Almost like Shayleigh but she had a feeling that the girl wasn't half-angel.
Shayleigh landed farther away, far enough so the girl couldn't see her that well. She consentrated and her wings disappeared in a flash. Careful to not look that suspicious, Shayleigh walked over to where the girl waited.
Shayleigh-"Greetings. My name is Shayleigh. I was wondering what you are doing out here all alone."
Rosetta-"And mine would be Rosetta. I'm not doing anything in particular, just admiring the...uh sand."
Shayleigh-"The sand you say? If you are doing nothing then why don't you come to the forest. There you may rest if you like."
