And, I'm sorry to hear this, and to tell it, but it seems that Vin Diesel is missing from the lead cast. According to the shows producers, they believe the movie does not hinge on the return of Vin Diesel to be a successful hit. I'm looking forward to this movie, for all the way cool car action. The first one I thought was going to be one of the best movies until I saw it. It wasn't what I expected it to be. Very disappointing. Hope this one will be better. The first one is the money thing that S@bertooth mentioned. The other reason is because when they were filmin this, they were beginnin to film the sequal to XXX, and the people makin XXX 2 is payin him more money then they were for Fast and the Furious 2. I guess you can pretty much tie that in together, but thats pretty much the reasons he's not gonna be in it. I have my doubts about Fast and the Furious 2, but who knows. I think I'm correct when I say that the only reason thta movie did well is because girls wanted to see Vin, and guys went with the girls. Charles Posted February 28, 2003 Share Posted February 28, 2003 I never understood the hype surrounding the first one. The DVD flew off the shelves for some reason. The sales must have been attributed to car nuts and Vin Diesel fan girls. Don't get me wrong, the movie was pretty enjoyable. It just didn't live up to the high expectations I had for it--there was nothing new in terms of plot and no one stood out with a good performance. A collection of hot vehicles and beautiful young people won't cut it anymore in my book. I didn't even bother with Biker Boyz. 2 Fast 2 Furious will probably do well on name value alone. It's not like Vin's a big loss anyway. The car nuts will still dig it. The Vin Diesel fan girls will be forced to watch the film again too because their car nut boyfriends will drag them along.
