It's pretty confusing & not the greatest timing considering my marital problems right now, but I'm happy about it. And I actually quit smoking & stuff. Dear God, that's really hard to do. My due date is September 30th, which, if you've ever seen my profile, is ironically the two year anniversary of when I joined the Boards. I guess it's [i]FATE.[/i] ::Falls Over Anime Style:: Just thought I'd give us an upbeat major-life-event thread for once. I think that's wonderful and at the same time a bit interesting being that you have so many things going on right now. ^_^ Though take it as a blessing and keep your chin up if you need to talk I'm around. ^_^ and I guess you'll have to figure out a name eventually so if it's a boy hint hint I heard Rick Hunter or Kevin ^_^ is a nice name. I hope your marital problems can be resolved, not only for the sake of yourself and your husband; but for your future child as well. I'm also glad to hear you're giving up smoking, besides the fact that it'll benefit the child it'll also benefit you in the long run. A baby can be a great blessing, even though it's not the best time for you to be pregnant However, although you would make a terrific mum, I do have to say that you have around 7 or 8 months to get your act together and find out what you are going to do with yourself and also how to handle the situation when your husband finds out....(I'm quite sure that you've thought about all this, but I am a little concerned:)) It's good that you've quit smoking and you're taking better care of yourself. Just make sure you start planning the future for you and you're baby. Does your family know? How do they feel about your pregnancy? I'd just like to add in response to Vampire Ed that, if I were in your shoes, I personally wouldn't take this as a reason to reconcile with my husband. It really shook me up to discover that I was pregnant during the times he was beating me up. I could have had a miscarriage. :( My family's really happy. My mom had a sort of one-day mid-life crisis when she realized she was going to be a grandmother, but she got all ecstatic about the baby, since she wanted more kids but couldn't have them. My dad at first was basically like "Hmph. You need to quit smoking." But after a few days he started joking around about it, like yelling "Good morning!" when I'm puking & stuff (which to him is a way of saying he's glad & not upset). My brothers are all proud, like getting all their friends drunk & passing out cigars, telling everyone they're going to be uncles. Mike's on a huge ego trip. "My boys can swim!" & all that. He's actually been very sweet, but still frustrating as hell. (See "Ghost World" blog for more details.) It would be better for yourself, and your baby just to leave him. I guess that'll teach me to do some checking before opening my mouth from now on. Anyway, off that subject.
