Well, there's 2 new Final Fantasy games that i know about coming out.

FFXI (11) - 11/5/2003 (in North America)
FFO (Origins) - 4/9/2003 (in North America)

I have no clue when FFXII is coming out though.

Let's not forget Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for GameCube, which should be out by the end of the year at the latest. It's an action style RPG though, up to four players simlutaneously.

That's probably the only FF game I give a crap about that's coming out (well I'll give Origins a shot).

It already came out, BUUUUUUDDDY.

Although I do hear that it is hard to find. I wouldnt know because I hate the GBA and I refuse to buy one even though I love FFT.

I guess I'm the only one interested in FF:CC. Reminds me of Secret of Mana/Saiken Densetsu... so that's always a great thing. I think the main FF series is getting stale anyway.

FFT on GBA technically did come out, but it's Japanese. Of course it's hard to find, as no one really imports Japanese RPG style games for the most part in this country considering very few would even understand. Just wait a few months. And for all the people who are thinking "I already own that on PSX," it's a totally different game.

And the first two FF games are nothing like Mystic Quest. In fact, no FF games are.

No one really says this anymore, but Mystic Quest was created to get beginners into RPGs. It was never ever meant to be considered an amazing game for FF veterans or even RPG fans. It was always advertised like that as well back when it first came out.

I thought the series was going to die out after VII... VIII sucked, IX, the elements in that game just weren't right... and i always thought X would begin the real downfall of the series.

*was wrong*

I guess they're kinda getting a little repetitive, but thats what all the other RPG's are for. There's lots of games i like more than some of the Final Fantasy's, like the whole Seiken Densetsu series. I liked the style.

*is also wanting FF:CC badly, just not as much as Origins.*

As far as FF going "stale", I think we all need to remember that Square is always reaching out for new players. The series aren't being made for us veterans alone.

I try to approach each game as if it were my first. Naturally, as the game plays out (pun intended), it shapes my opinion. Graphics, music, storyline, controls, gameplay itself (not in that order, mind :)). Heh, I guess that's why my opinions of games tend to differ from some of yours.

*points at Sem* You don't agree with me--you're going to Gamer Hell!!!

*laughs* Oh, that was a classic AIM line. Hee hee hee, j/k, of course, my dear Semjaza. ;)

Though I agree with most when I say FF8 had to be one of the most wretched of the series.

Back on topic now: I cannot WAIT for FF: X-2...even if Auron's not in it...:bawl: (*is playing FFX again, and going gaga over Auron again*)

I guess I'm just tired of what is basically the same thing over and over again. I don't get how that wins over new gamers at all. If they wanted me to stick around, they'd introduce some great new concepts other than more movies, better graphics and a slightly enchanced fighting system. The sphere grid and total obliteration of the world map were the only decent sized changes to the series in a very long time.

Anyway, I don't think the last 5 or so FFs were even that good honestly.

This is me though. We all know hardly anyone here agrees with my FF opinions lol :p

I try to do the same as you Ginny, only if i see a bit of potential in the game though. I never played FFVIII for more than 20 minutes... i just gave up. I did beat FFIX, but it still didn't appeal to me. I was just really happy with FFX in general.

Well, you're so good at finding all the info, and piccy's and stuff, so why don't you take the honour Semjaza. I would, but i'm tired now.

*is past his bedtime*

warning topic off topic warning

I'm looking forward to FF Crystal Chronicles too. It looks like my type of game, like a cross between Zelda and Final Fantasy, heh. It'll also be cool to be able to play with multiple people. I loved playing Gauntlet Legends and Zelda: Four Swords, so I except I'm going to really like playing multi-player on FFCC, too.

...I know that the FFT game for GBA was a new game.. Did it sound like I didnt know that? Sorry, I guess I wasnt specific enough. oh well.

Also CC looks really good and I want to get it, But I dont have a Cube and I really dont want to buy one since I have hated Nintendo since they made the 64. (I have a beef with them that I just might hold until I die)
