If you really want to help out, you can use the "report this post to a moderator" button down in the bottom, right hand corners of posts. Really, favorite threads such as this are not against the rules in and of themselves, it's the spam that they usually create. If people actually give decent reasons why they like whatever Pokémon that they do, this thread can continue on fine. Long tail, innocent eyes, super (butt)-kicking powerful. ^^; Plus I can imitate her speech pretty well. Go me, heh. Artistically, she's awesome. Aforementioned tail. Blue eyes *points to own*. That so-pale-it's-almost-white pink color. And she's not so cute that she's sickening cute, like some I could mention. And yes, she still kicks major arse. The outlaw type. like he doesnt care a **** about the world. Although it tends to be an underused Pokémon, I like it because of the fact it can learn Flamethrower and put it to good use. It may take a while for it to get there, but it's worth it. With the addition of Extremespeed to its lineup, it an all around good Fire Pokémon. Another reason I love Arcanine so much would be due to its character on the show. It always plays the loyal Pokémon, and is often seen doing what it does best, running. Arcanine is one of the best land runners in the whole Pokémon world. Although true, Pokémon like Rapidash, Dodrio and others outstrip it speedwise, Arcanine is diligent, and is still a good racing Pokémon nonetheless. G/S/B Master Posted March 2, 2003 Share Posted March 2, 2003 I really like Water pokemon because the Whirl Island episodes. My favorite is Poliwrath. Not only it's a water, it's a really good fighting pokemon. The good move combos you could use is Mind reader/Dynamic punch and Mind reader/Fissure. If it's against a flying pokemon I think that it could counter every one of it's attacks. Making it a Killer pokemon. I also like Suicune. It could learn mirrior coat and it's really cool lookin. Well since the first time I saw Ditto in the first series I've liked him ever since. On the games I actually dislike him, and don't find him to be much of a use, but I'm trying to think more reality. In the episode I saw he can actually transform into any object as well as a Pokemon, which could lead to mass destruction! On the game he gameboy games though as it's turn-based I tend not to use Ditto. He looks pretty cool and if you think there is alot better looking Pokemon Ditto can match that with a transformation. :) I think he is just an all round cool Pokemon. I don't keep up with the episodes but when I get Ruby, maybe I will find another favourite to replace Ditto. I know you can teach other Pokemon transform (I think), but Ditto is where the move originated from in my eyes. :toothy: I think this thread should be kept as long as we all try to put a bit of effort into our posts. Also, when I was watching reruns of the show, the leader of the Squirtle Squad was always my favorite pokemon, just on how it acts. Now, leave me, I must regain my dignity... Solo Tremaine Posted March 4, 2003 Share Posted March 4, 2003 I was never amazingly good at the game, so I guess my favourites are mostly by looks. Scyther's my top favourite, because he's such an interesting design- sort of pseudo-lizard/mantis pokemon, and anything with blades is always good. For the game, I liked the power of his Slash attack, and also his high speed level. Sandslash is another of my favourites- the ability to use Dig is always useful in a fight, and I have a soft spot for Armadillo/Echidna type things. Jolteon was another of my favourites, again for his design, and because I had to have an electric Pokemon for my team. Zapdos was more powerful, but its beak looked weird. For Fire, Charmeleon was my choice Pokemon, for his design again. I haven't much reasoning behind these- I was mostly into the series. Mewtwo was the only Psychic Pokemon that appealed to me, not least because he was the only one I managed to get to a level above 55 -__- But he looks better than the others in Red. Also the imaging on any Starmie is cool, it is two stars put ontop of each other with a wicked gem smacked ontop.
