James
I just thought I'd share some Pikmin 2 screenshots that N-Sider has nabbed recently. Not much is known about this game, besides the fact that a two player feature is now available. ~_^ Also, the game will apparently allow you to pick up items and transport them yourself (from what I've heard). It seems that the daily limit thing is still there...hopefully Nintendo lengthened it and made each day twice as long; most people seem to feel that the first Pikmin was too short (both in the length of each day and in the 30 day limit. Although, it seems like the two player mode may not have such a time limit. So, it might not always be there (which is very cool). There is a versus mode...and hopefully a coooperative mode too.
BigCajones
Hmmm it looks pretty much the same as the first one. I don't really know the objective of this game and I doubt I will get this. A two-player mode added always improves a game in my standards. There is an exception for a few multiplayer games I have, but it's more enjoyable when you play games with mates for me. Erm, so yeah it looks pretty good, but could someone elighten me on this game please!
Turkey
I'm really interested in it, especially after seeing the new HUD. I can't wait for some info!
Semjaza
Looks like you can use the d-pad to pick specfic colors now or something to that effect... That's good news. I can't say I'm super excited. The two player mode looks nice, but I don't even know another person personally who even liked Pikmin. Still vastly superior to the underwhelming Kirby's Air Ride shots...
Subversive
It looks about the same, maybe thats just the quality of the shots though...

hiachi
The only simalarity is the display and controls, theres nothing wrong with that, the only thing that has to be new is the content and from those pictures the game obviously has a lotta new stuff to offer
James
Well, I liked the first Pikmin. However, the game was lacking in a few areas. Pikmin 2 might be what the first game should have been. Those shots are a little messy though; most of you who have played Pikmin are aware of how it looks. Not overly amazing, but very organic and quite pretty. I don't mind if Pikmin 2 looks identical, as long as there are some important gameplay changes (and the tweaks announced so far seem to be good).
Desbreko
I really do hope that they either lengthen the time limit, or do away with it all together. I probably would've liked Pikmin, except the time limit for each day was just way too short. It made me feel like I have to rush all the time, and I absolutely hate that. The two-player option could be fun. One of my friends has the original Pikmin, so maybe he'll get this one, too. Then me and him could play together. I think that would help with the time limit thing, too, since you'd have two people doing things at the same time.
Subversive
If the game is larger (well not larger, much larger) I will definetly get it. The concept was great, it was just lacking into how many hours you could put into it.
Semjaza
More was shown about the game today. I don't have the shots... But there are new Pikmin types. Nintendo.com shows two new ones in addition to the originals. One is this freaky white type, with huge red eyes. The other is a fat purple type, with several spikes on the top of its head. Best of all, the game will have NO time limit. Here's some models or something though... look like clay. Guest Crimson Spider
Pikmin was one of the best games ever! I personally am looking forward to the new enemies (when I first saw the smokey prog, I was like "WTF IS THAT!") and the abilites of the new pikmin. (I will never get used to the purple pikmin) I wonder what the new story will be about. And James, the picture links don't work anymore. All I get is X's
Krillen
Yep, same here James, just X's. I am really looking forward to this game, I have the first one, it was a blast! Those white ones look really cool too. I wonder what ability they have. I'm guessing that the big purple guy in the middle is mostly for defense considering his slow bulky fingure. James
The pictures don't work because Nintendo's E3 site isn't working at the moment. I would like to see LAN play on Pikmin 2, even though it wouldn't be easy for me to find someone else that I know with a GCN.
Krillen
Yes, that would be nice James. My friends and I are always stuck competing on the one day challenges. LAN would be great.
