Sega's Next RPG........

The best RPG ever, or atleast the year of release, in my opinion would be the result if SEGA/SonicTeam decided to make a TRUE sequel to the Phantasy Star series. Don't get me wrong, they should keep the Phantasy Star Online series also, and keep making that better. Infact, that would make the game even better. Say, in the sequel, it was a true offline game, with great stories, but create-a-character was still there, and maybe somehow it could be compatible with Phantasy Star Online Episode I&II, that would be one of the coolest concepts to an RPG.........an offline and online version of the same game, one with a story, one with a much greater story, and COMPATIBILITY BETWEEN THEM!!!! I know posting this will probably have no affect on wheter SEGA does make a new PS game, but.........that would be a great, great, GREAT :D RPG!!!!!

Yes that would interesting, what they should do is just make another PSO like ep III and then people that wanted to play(or lost their characters could play that with others who have to start from the beginning) that would start back at level 0,(so I wouldnt be the only one) and with all the corrections and such they have made to the online part. No duping, no FSOD's, and all the other bad things that happened that ruined my PSO experience.

Just imagine if the Phantasy Star series had continued....., i mean it started out (in many ways) better than FF, and like i said, if it had continued growing from the world they created, it would be, the uh..., BEST RPG?! Maybe, if it kept getting better, im sure it would be able to easily hold that title, but even though its been a long time since PS IV came out, SEGA has been honing their RPG skills......also, who would develope it if it did happen.....Overworks made the original PS games, but Sonic Team makes the PSO series.......???

Hiachi, please do not double post on OtakuBoards; we don't allow it.

As for a Phantasy Star sequel, I've not heard about it yet...but it certainly sounds interesting.

Also, it has been confirmed that Sega will produce a second Skies of Arcadia game; which is incredibly good news for GCN owners. ^_^

No one knows. Really they didn't say much more than that it was in the planning stages. They won't even announce what system it's on. I'd assume GC, but Sega never makes common sense business decisions.

Sonic Team seems content with putting PSO all over the place... so I'm not expecting another normal Phantasy Star game for quite a while honestly.

PSO will never go to PS2 though, they hate the idea that multi mode will require you to buy 4 controllers as well as a multi tap ( i mean come on was it that hard to not be selfish idiots, and put 2 more controller slots, but no "we have to make money off of our gay multi tap!")
