Dan L
One thing I just kind of wondered but never actually figured out... That big crater in FF8 (the vaguely star-shaped one), which you can't go over using the garden.. what exactly is it.. cos I have no idea.. I kind of had a few ideas but they've all been systematically proven wrong during the game.. so.. any know / have any ideas about it?.. (In case I was too vague, the crater is on the Trabia continent)
JCBaggee
It is supposedly from years prior to the game, when something crashed down. The Trabia Crater, I belive, is implied to be
the original landing spot for the monsters from the moon
, but it's been a while since I've played FFVIII, so I'm not exactly sure. --Chris
Flash
JCBaggee, y'hit the nail on the head.
The 'Monsters from the Moon' thing, what, Lunar something-or-other... Lunar... Lunar... No, it's gone.
Pretty pointless place when it comes down to it. But I'm into that sort've thing, so I find it very interesting.
Sandy
Lunatic Pandora? Or was Pandora the huge pyramid-spaceship...
Valen
Pyramid spaceship? Lunatic Pandora was
the big box-like thing that you had to board in Esthar City when it was flying overhead. It's also what they were excavating in the Disc 2 Laguna dream-like thing...
Flash
Well, it does kinda look like a Pyramid Spaceship.
SephirothNIN
The Lunar Cry is what they called it when
all the monsters fell from the moon
. Anyway yeah the crater is pretty pointless, but there's a hidden draw point there, but it's nothing too special, dispel or something like that I think. Dan L
oh right.. y'see I thought it was something like that but I thought they said
the last lunar cry] was on the Centra continent, hence there's nothing there anymore..
.. maybe I made that up in my head or something.. heh
JCBaggee
Ah, yes, Lunar Cry...can't believe I forgot that. Anyhoo, the draw point is along the edge, but you have to be walking to get there. I think it was mainly there to keep you from going too far ahead early on in Balamb Garden. --Chris
Gelgoog Pilot
That's what i figured it was for too JC. But i think another lunar cry destroyed the centra civilization too. I believe that's how the gardens came into existance, and why the old ruin is in the centra continent. btw can someone tell me how to put spoiler tags on posts, I'm having trouble figuring it out lol.
