Usually when I hear a song that I really like I remember a place where I heard it. So everytime I hear the song it reminds me of that place. For example usually if I hear some of the slower songs it reminds me of my juinor high school dances (when I'm sitting down looking like a loser...)

Do any of you guy every associate songs with places?

Oh gosh, every time I listen to 'Thank You'- Dido, 'A Thousand Miles'- Vannessa Carlton, or 'Wasting my time'- Default, I always get really sad, because those were the songs playing on the radio when I moved from Galveston. It was raining then too, so if it's raining, and the song's on, it drives me crazy. >>;

Most songs have some sort of memory attatched to me too. Except food and movies go together for me as well. ^^;;;
*sigh...emotions suck...^_~
very true

I have songs that remind me of just about every thing. For instance, "Sickness" by disturbed reminds me of one of my ex-gf. "Bodies" reminds me of a time when we were listening to that song and we started a small mosh pit in the back of Burger King and completely distroyed everything.

I agree with you SilentDeath. Every single person I know has a song that reminds me of them, even some of the boarders here!
Hmm...places, well a few songs really.
Sugar ray = Fly reminds me off my amazing trip to Florida, because that's all they played when I was there.
Red Hot Chili Peppers = By the Way reminds me of a school trip to the coast, it was too cool.
Rage Against the Machine = Bullet in the head reminds me of where I live, because I love that song, and I always play it, so I automatically assosciate it with home
And last but not least...
Blink 182 = Dammit, reminds me of Venezuala, because I only took my C.D's with Blink stuff on!

anytime I hear a song that used to be popular way back in the early/mid 90's, I get flashbacks of my early elementary-school years. some songs that come to mind at the top of my head are Smashing Pumpkin's "Tonight, Tonight," Ben Folds Five's "Brick," Seal's "Don't Cry," and Oasis' "Champaigne Supernova" and "Wonderwall." any New Found Glory and Moby music reminds me of events from this year.

I could name a couple of other things if I thought more about it, but this should do it.

EDIT: oh, one more thing. this one's a bit more unique than my others, at least. :sleep::p whenever I hear the the Song 'Fly' by SugarRay, I think about Lego's. specifically the Alien Avenger model. why? I had listened to the song about 10 times on the radio (serious overplay) while putting it together on my birthday. kinda stuck since I couldn't get it out of my head.

Well... the title and the lyrics often reminds me of things that had happened to me before. If I just look at the lyrics, it's just like the flashback of the incident.

Haha there are these two songs that actually remind me of a video game. The songs are All the Small Things by Blink 182 and Does my Breath Smell by Blink 182. One time when I was playing Zelda Ocarina of Time I heard these songs and everytime they play it reminds me of Zelda. I can even remember where I was in the game, in the Valcano trying to get into the Fire Temple^^

I swear being in music and the like, it can be a curse. Well for example, my ex-boyfriend and I are both musically inclined, we would go out and usually end up at his house, and play guitar and sing, occasionally dance (Piro- if ya read this, I know it's shocking... ya I danced... lol), and light up a smoke. But hey, ah well.. so if I ever hear Nirvana I think of him, because that is what he usually played for me... also a little joke that was between us was that I have to sing the "Star Spangled Banner" for the games at school, basketball and volleyball, so he would play it and I would sing... lol... but yeah that reminds me of him too... *sigh* ah well.

Otherwise, memories are tied to most songs, another popular one from forever ago, "Blue" by Eiffel 65 reminds me of a friend I went to grade school with... he was obsessed with that song... like if there was nothing to do, he would hum that song, otherwise he would break out the Sugar Ray... lol... Sugar Ray... the good old stuff... heh.

Anywho... most music has a memory.
