[size=1][color=darkblue]So, many of you will have heard of this game. Although it's not scheduled for release until Spetember, there is quite a bit of news on this game.
The game is a cel-shaded (Jet Set Radio Future style) first person shooter. The game is based on a french comic adventure, where the hero of the game wakes up with 'XIII' tattooed on his shoulder, and a bank key in his hand.
The plot is still lacking detail, but we do know that you can use objects such as chairs and bottles to take out enemies. Levels of skiing and skydiving are included, which sound excellent. XIII also encounters XII and XIV on his journeys, showing that this game is going to have a plot, as well as action. I hope it doesn't turn into a movie game though, like MGS : Sons of Liberty did.
The game is full of violence, and original ideas, such as words like 'blam', 'baoom' etc. to show events.
It's also multiplayer!
So, any more info I've missed? Or anything you want to add/correct me on?

Well i just want to say i have read reviews on it and i think the graphics are pretty cool and i like those cel-shaded graphics just as much as any other graphics and i like the way it has been made `comic type` rather than going for the real life kind of graphics. I don't really have any info for this game as i think you have covered most of it Alexus but i am looking forward to this being released in September.

[size=1][color=darkblue]Well, at the present time, the game is actually near completed, but Ubi-Soft want to wait, so they can improve the multiplayer maps and modes, and so they can improve the graphical effects so it all fits more tightly with the feelings created in a cel shaded game.
It's a very original idea, a strange cross between JSRF and MGS perhaps? Still, looks great, and it may even be released earlier than expected![/color][/size]

I saw a movie of the game in Splinter Cell. The game look awesome. The concept is great and I will definetly be checking out the title. Great concept, hopefully good multiplayer, the game should be a great title for Xbox.

[size=1][color=darkblue]Yeah, as I covered beofre, they are beefing up the multiplayer mode, so it stays interesting. It could be released now, but I would rather wait for a great multiplayer game, and better features etc.

Do you know if there will be some bots?? If so, that would be......super.... Also in the movie I saw there was a black woman and an older man , are they both the main characters?

[color=limegreen]Well this is what I've been hearing about the game. I will try and add some information and maybe correct some. I'm not sure how good my sources are but here I go...

XIII is supposely based around a Belgium comic, but that is near enough to being French. It begins with the assasination of the president and the only clue to the hitman's identity come from an amateur movie taked by a spectator that manages to catch him on film. Hmmm seems like the plot is pretty simple from that, but then the mysterious warrior known as XIII (the number tattooed on his arm when he was found unconscious on a beach) you're quickly identified as the prime suspect ehind behind the president's murder. Thus you set off to find the real killer and clear your name.
With the help of three other characters - Jones, Amos and Carrington - it's up to you to uncover the truth about events leading up to your discovery on the beach by eventually finding out just who pulled the trigger on poor old Pres.

So the plot is still somewhat vague and a bit poor (hopefully not too short!), but if that's all it needs to be a good game then so be it. I'm sure there will be other missions along the way. :) I also enjoy cel-shaded games every now and again, but I haven't played a cel-shaded shooter. I've got high expectations for it though. All you X-Box players on the board will be happy to know the X-Box multiplayer on XIII has some exclusive modes (just on X-Box) and it will be X-Box Live compatible! :excited: As for the punctuation and the massive writing I mean it's funny and all (very comic like with death sounds writ large), but I just hope it doesn't get in the way of the game. Feelings summed up in a single punctuation mark lol.

About the bots, well I can't say that bots really make or break a game anyway, but at the moment I can't classify that XIII will be having any bots. I find it doubtful as all images I've seen just include normal cel-shaded people and doesn't seem to be an entirely futuristic game, but still I'm not certain. There is four main characters, but there is only one you get to control I believe and that is XIII. Hope that helped a bit, I don't really know what they look like though so I can't help you out there. What's so good about the bots then GoS? Please enlighten me! :smirk:
