Natarica walked along the sidewalk with her mudbrown shoes. They were the only pare she had now, since living at home had become too much for her. She took to living in the streets to get away from her homely troubles. She had a job, and she went to school. But she didn't have a home anymore, nor did she have any friends who cared. She was so left out at home, they didn't care where she was. She hated being at home.

As she walked, she noticed someone interesting walking across the street. She looked friendly, but she knew better than to automatically asume so. She looked away as the person looked her way, and Natarica continued down the sidewalk into the Pharmacy where she worked...

"Come back here!"

A rather plump man ran screaming. The sweat trickled down his face. Whiping his face to keep the sweat from getting into his eyes. Finally he began to slow down breathing hard. He was out of breath, and out of shape. He knew it to. He shook his fist slowly and in a last desperate attempt shouted.

"Come back..."

The figure he was chasing disappeared into the shadows. The man sighed knowing he'd lost this time. He slowly trudged the four blocks to his store.

"Nice Job."

A kid, seeming to be around the age of 18, stepped out of the shadows. He looked at the panting kid and smiled. The kid, known as CK, handed an apple and twenty bucks to the other figure.

"There ya go Jason! That guy didn't look like he'd last more than a block. To think he ran that much for two apples and forty bucks. Sheesh."

The panting kid smirked. Jason laughed. The two continued into the shadows laughing and talking about the days events.

The last of the geese flew past the horizon and a couple of crows disappeared into their own nests before Raazi stood up. She turned her back to the ocean in front of her and walked down the street. Slowly, she looked around herself, the street seemed empty but for a couple people. Raazi was still careful, she had delibrately stepped into enemy territory on her way to a new bird watching spot and now she expected the any member of the street's gangs to pop up.
Raazi's hard spirit matched her love for birds. She adored the creatures for their freedom and carefreeness.Raazi breathed a sigh as she neared the end of enemy street, it was too quiet an evening to ruin with a fight. A few more blocks....

"Hey!"
Raazi whirled around. A guy and girl stood behind her.
"You don't belong here." shouted the boy. He pointed a ringed hand at Raazi. He struck an impressive pose that was either ment for show or he wanted to prove himself for the superior looking girl with him.

Well, thought Raazi. If it's a fight they want, they'd better have it.

Customer: When will my perscription be ready?
Natarica: It'll be ready in a few hours, come back later and we'll have it for you.
Customer: Thank you ma'am.

Natarica watched as the customer walked away and sighed. If only she knew. Natarica looked at the clock and realized that her shif was over. She took off her uniform and gathered her things.

Manager: See you later Natarica.
Natarica: Bye.

She bid farewell to her boss and exited out onto the sidewalk. She started to walk away in the direction down the street. She had set up shelter in an old but safe building down the street. It was vacant, and not in use. She knew she could go there. On her way, she noticed three people in an alley. She tried not to take notice, but it seemed to her that a fight was about to start...

Raazi scanned her area, trying to find any point of advantage. There was an alley a little farther, maybe if she could cross through it, she could get back to her own streets.
"You just gonna stand there or what?" the boy was impatient. He clenched his fist as the girl behind him relaxed to watch the show.
Raazi grimaced. This was disgusting, the way that idiot boy was desperate enough to slave for the girl. She knew she had to get to the alley and into the crowds of her own street, where she could either loose these people or take an element of surprise.
The boy began to step closer. Raazi turned on her purple heel and lithely sprinted in the alley's direction.

"Hey!" Raazi heard footsteps as the boy took off after her.
She suddenly stopped and made a daring sharp turn toward the alleyway, nearly bumping into someone else. The two stared at eachother at first, stunned. Then Raazi shook her head and continued as her attacker got closer.
The fire escape ladder, Razzi jumped up to it, her foot nearly on the wall. She began to lift her other foot, but she couldn't.

"Gotcha! Now come down!" the boy grinned in triumph as he clutched Raazi's foot.

"Get lost!" Raazi kicked with the other foot. It caught the boy in the cheek, the heel grazing his skin.
He hissed in fury. Raazi used this chance to climb again.
"Ahh..." Pain shot up Raazi's ankle. The turn must have done something good on her ankle.
"Going down!" the boy instantly dragged Raazi down in her moment of weakness...

CK and Jason walked next to eachother. They never let themselves be touched by the light. Both of them couldn't stand the light. They had their reasons. CK felt exposed in the light, Jason couldn't steal anythign in the light. They both joked about how they would dodge left and right while walking to make sure they had that extra covering of darkness. They continued walking and CK looked up. "37th and Veran Ave." He watched it pass. He wasn't in their territory. CK didn't worry about it, they had a small area to cross. Possibly two blocks. While they were walking CK looked up at the sky and smiled. He loved the stars.

CK began to open his mouth when he heard a noise. The two kids crouched immediatly listening for the noise again. There was a struggle or something going on. A guy and a girl. CK looked at Jason. Jason nodded, he knew what CK wanted, to check it out. The two slowly made their way towards the sound. The turned a corner and saw a girl being tugged off a fire escape latter.

"Get off of me you bastard!"

She tried to kick at him as she shouted this. CK watched as the guy continued to tug at her. He took his fist and punched her in the back quickly in an attempt to make her shut up. CK stood up, then Jason did as well.

They slowly walked over towards the girl. The guy was so intent on dragging her down that he didn't notice the two new arrivals. Jason tapped his shoulder. The kid turned around and Jason met the kids face with a fist.

The kid stumbled back and CK landed a knee into the kids stomach. The kid fell to the ground coughing. CK grinned at Jason. Jason walked over to the kid.

"Didn't your mom tell you never to hit a girl....That'll teach ya..."

CK laughed as Jason said that. Jason started to walk off, CK stood there for a second longer then spat at the kid. He then jogged off to join Jason. The two began walking off ignoring the girl completely, completely intent on getting back home, and eating their apples.

Furora walked silently through a dark back ally. She stopped and pulled out a knife... she sat down on the cold ground and slowly carved away at herself. It was how she passed the time sometimes. She shruged and stood up again. She walked alone down the street now.

The small tattoed marks on her face seemed to make her look evil in the darkness. Her spiked like blueish hair glimmered by the dim street lights and she seemed to be frowning as always. She ajusted her spiked collar and then leaned up agenst the old pawnshops wall.

Furora: Pitiful
