Shaun
This is sort of an odd topic, but... Are you a late bloomer? Are you growing, and going thru personality phases later than anyone else? I know I am. I'm 21, and I just now had a growth spurt. Over the last year, I've gotten 2 inches taller, and gained 15 pounds of muscular weight. How weird is this? Feel free to share all. :D
Kent
Oh yea... dude, Im 21 and didnt have to worry about shaving till I was about 19/20. But I have a picture in the picture forum... its the second picture in the thread on the first page. I have a beard with no doubt. I also was something of a late bloomer... but hey, maybe we will live longer.lol.
Shaun
I never thought of it that way. Hmm... Do you know that up until about 2 years ago, I still got into movies for the kids under 12 price?! I kinda miss that...so does my wallet....hehehe
Juu
I think I'm more of an early bloomer... I'm about an inch taller than all the girls at my school, and some people actually think I'm fifteen. oO; It's kinda weird though. Some people in school just tap me on the shoulder and say, "Did you flunk?", and I'm like, "Uuuh... I don't think so..." ^_^;;;
Sui Generis
I don't know if I'm a late bloomer yet. All the guys at my school are 5'6 or taller, with the exception of two kids who are TINY. I'm 5'2 and have to look up at everyone. At the begginning of last year I was 4'8 if that tells you anything. I don't know if that means I bloomed but still need to or what. I'm supposed to be 6 foot.
Lady Asphyxia
Isn't it insane how that happens? I still get in as a childs ticket ^.^ Wait... :shifty: I am legally a child... Anyway, as most of my friends have heard me complain, I've stopped growing completely. Well, not completely. A centimetre in two years...
Shaun
I posted a 'then and now' pic of me in the pic forum if anyone's interested.
Guest Jenni
Hhhah I change all the time, would that be considered a late bloomer? I'm 17 now and grew 2 inches in 2 months. Not fun :(
Sara
I somehow didn't expect this thread to be about growth spurts..
GinnyLyn
Mmmmfff. Late Bloomer. That's my new nickname, I swear it is. People still think I look only 17 or 18. Fer crying out loud, I'm 22! :D But socially, emotionally, I feel like I'm still in my early teens. Underdeveloped, compared to most people I know. Beh, I'm just different. ^-^ It's the life of a crazed artist.

Shy
Um.. I think I would be considered an "early bloomer". In 7th grade I grew about six inches, and then the next year I grew a few more. I haven't actually grown since then, my height and weight have stayed the same. -Shy
Juu
Hmm, if this is going to be about growth spurts... I'm 5'7, and I'm the second tallest girl in the eigth grade. In the whole school, I think I'm fourth, because there are these two really tall girls in the sixth grade. @.@; Out of the guys, the tallest guy is like, seven and a half feet. oO; He's really, really tall. The shortest girl in my grade is about 3'8, and the shortest guy is about 5'2, I think. The guy that's like, 7'6 said he was about 4'10 in the sixth grade... o_o;;
Shaun
It's not just about growth spurts. I changed in personality, and the way I act some too. I mean, (not to be weird) but I never really started noticing girls until this past year. I know, I am totally odd, but I'm just saying the thread goes further. Lady Macaiodh
Yeah, physically I've always been behind. But when I do catch up, I make up for lost time. ;) People still can't believe I'm 23, though. I think it's pretty sweet, since when I'm old I won't look as bad as I would have. Mentally, I feel like I've mostly been ahead. & the fact that I look young takes people by surprise when I start talking. I love doing that to people. It only sucks while you're in school. I don't think people would care as much about being a late bloomer if it wasn't for the whole teenage societal standard of attractiveness. Everyone will get there eventually, & it won't make a bit of difference after that.
Harry
My girlfriend was considered legally a midget when she turned 18 (i think it's like 4'11) and now she's around 5'

GhostofSalvtore
I could be considered one at one time, be pretty short, and I still think I am, in the 7th grade I was about 5'2 or 3 but now I am bout 5'9ish. so yeah........
GinnyLyn
If we are going by growth spurts alone, then I was early. 5'6" in 6th grade, and grew another half inch over the next few years. Taller than most everyone in my family, until my brother hit 5'8" a few weeks ago.
Stitch
heh i'm 15 and i'm only5'0 and i don't think i'm getting any taller also i still have really small hands and a lil baby fat :P:P:P lol i'm kinda late bloomer everyone in my school including the youngest kids are taller then me i still get in as a child when i'm a young adult cuz u have to be 11 to get a child ticket :P stitch

Wow, is that possible? That is legal midget-height...
The guy that's like, 7'6 said he was about 4'10 in the sixth grade... o_o;;
Funny how that always seems to happen ^_^ The short guys almost always have huuge growth spurts over the summer, and when they come back to school it's like, "Whoa! What happened to you?" Hehe :D As for myself, I think I was an on-time bloomer. I developed at a normal, steady rate. I'm 5'7" now, and other than my weight, I don't think anything else is really going to grow much larger now ;D
Red
In terms of growth, I've always been very inconsistant. One minute it would seem like I would stay a certain height, then I would have a massive spurt and grow a few inches in a few months. >.> I'm 6'2 now, pushing 6'3, which is kind of tall for a 16 year old. Hopefully I'll stop growing soon.
Sara
Almost all my friends are taller than me--and I'm about 5'6. What can I say, I make friends with the "freakishly tall." ^_~ Whoo-hooo! I'm diverse! ....inside joke that none of you are in on....why do I post these things......
