Hybrid
This kinda works like a Dream Team, what you do is, you pick an artist to fill the spots of your dream band. The artist you choose has to able to play that instrument or have singing talent if aplicable. I also want you to say why you want them to fill the said spot. :D Here are the spots to fill; Lead Singer: Guitarist: Second Guitarist: Bassist: Drummer: ______________________________________________________________________ Ok here are my choices; Lead Singer: Chester Bennington (Linkin Park)- Because of his amazing vocal ability to go from shouting to singing and still sound amazing. Guitarist: Joe Pettinato (From Zero)- For his ability to play fast solo's. Second Guitarist: Fallon Boweman (Kittie) For her guitar talent and song writing/ back up vocals. Bassist: Talena Atfield (Kittie)- Great bass player, and she's just so damn hot!!! :love2: Drummer: Joey Jordison (Slipknot)- Because he's probably one of the greatest drummers of all time!! Heaven's Cloud
I had to split this up into two groups one Alt/Metal Rock and one Blues Rock... Alt/Metal Lead Singer: Eddie Vedder- he is so versitle, his voice can shift easily between depressive alt ballads and trasher rock Guitarist: Kirk [yeah, I accidently put kurt, my bad] Hammet- I don't care if you hate Mettalica because they destroyed Napster, Hammet can flat out play Rythm Guitarist/ Vocals: Jerry Cantrell, Alice in Chains former lead is an excellent guitarist and has pretty decent vocals to boot Bassist: Les Claypool...'nuff said Drummer:Dave Grohl...yes he is good, why is he good? Because he knows when NOT to play Blues Rock Band Lead Singer: Ben Harper...he has an incredible voice and is very versitile Guitarist:Jimi, who else Rythm Guitarist: Keith Richards...he is the best rythm guitarist ever, his chord selections are incredible Bassist/vocals: Paul McCartney...what would an allstar band be without a memeber of the Beetles Drummer: Carter Beauford...I am not a Dave freak, but you would have to be a moron not to realize the Beauford is one of the greatest drummers of all time
treton_noir
thats Kirk Hammett (metallica). ill have to divide mine, also. im having a really hard time picking individuals. Tool is my "dream" band, but without more than one Tool member in them, heres my bands. metal vocalist: Maynard Keenan(Tool) Guitar1: Daron Malakian(System of a Down) various parts: Trent Reznor (NIN) Bass: Cliff Burton (Metallica)-Metallica's bassist before Newstead. listen to Anesthesia and youll know why. Drums:sPaG/Spug(MuDvAyNe) rock vocalist:Brandon Boyd (Incubus) Guitar1: John Frusciante (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Guitar2:Trey Anastasio(phish) Bass: Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) Drums:Stewart Copeland(the Police) these guys would be the most awesome rock jam-band ever. Semjaza
I'm adding two more members because I would absolutely needa keyboardist and a programmer in a dream band. My dream band wouldn't really be any particular deadon genre. I like stuff that mixes it up and is unique... And with some of these guys in the band (even having smaller parts), I know they'd influence the band to the point that it would be something great and different. Lead Singer: Mike Patton (Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, Tomahawk, Fantomas) Guitarist: Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen... haha) Second Guitarist: Black Francis (The Pixies... aka Frank Black) Bassist: Twiggy Ramirez (ex-Manson, last I heard was in something called "Headband") Edit - I totally forgot that he replaced Paz in A Perfect Circle recently :D Drummer: Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) Keyboardist: Trent Reznor (NIN... I'm sure he'd help program too heh) Programmer: Dean Garcia (Curve) There we go :D Edit: Ditched Jeff Martin for Mike Patton.
Transtic Nerve
ok, Since most of the people I'm gonna name off play many parts, I'll just name the people and what they will play instead of the possition and then the people. Gackt (from MALICE MIZER and his own band lol): He'd be lead vocals on Japanese songs. He'd also play 3rd string guitar (he's not as good as many, but he still plays) He'd do drums if we needed a backup drummer and he'd play piano/keyboard when needed. Chisato (from PENICILLIN): Lead guitarist. He'd do vocals for English songs (he sings very well in English, and Japanese. However if hide were still alive, I'd have him do vocals for English songs, probably as well as Japanese) Hisashi (from GLAY): Second string guitar. I don't consider him as good as Chi-san, but he's still good. I like his style of guitar playing and behind Chi-san's more rythmic guitar playing, he fits right in. Tetsu (from L'arc~en~Ciel): Bassist. He's one of the best. He would fit that part very well. He could do backup vocals if needed. He plays the bass like a regular guitar. So fast, so good. YOSHIKI (from X-Japan): The master. His drumming is just that damn good, even if he's a little older than the rest. He would also do some producing and arrangment on the side. If it were a techno group. Kate Ryan: Her vocals are really smooth and really great. They go well with everything. T-Kimura/TK/Paul van Dyk/BT: I couldn't decide who would be better lol. One of them would play keyboards and producing as well as mixing and all that junk. They are all very very very good. Lady Macaiodh
My dream band already exists, & they are the immortal Sublime. But I can't make a dream band, either, because my favorites of all the instruments don't even match each others' styles. I'll tell you my favorites, though (due to uniqueness). To make it easier for myself, I made my people all alive. Vocals: Selene Vigil, Rob Zombie, Fiona Apple Guitar: Eddie Van Halen, Allison Robertson Bass: Elizabeth Davis (hands down) Drums: Vinnie Paul, Rick Allen I suppose you could come up with a band somewhere in there.
wrist cutter
Vocalist: RYUICHI (of LUNA SEA) - He can hit every note you can imagine, he's an amazing vocalist. So he'd fit in any style. Lead guitarist: chisato (of PENICILLIN) - Like TN said, chisato is just the best. Bass: Tetsu (of L'Arc~en~Ciel) - The best. Drums: shin'ya (of LUNA SEA) - Amazingly talented drummer, I feel like he can play to more styles than Yoshiki, even though I think Yoshiki is definitely better at certain styles. Jesus Chicken
OOOOKKK!!! the band I would really want would have way too many members to be too big a success, so I'll just make it a five peice the Greatest Rock band of all time would have to be Vocalist: Maynard James Keenan Lead Guitarist: Billy Corgan (during smashing pumpkins era-because he rocked so damn hard) Second guitarist: Dave Grohl (because he is a god!) Bassist: Flea (who else??) Drummer: Danny Carey (for there is no one living better then him) C'mon, you cant put up a better fight!

Semjaza
I was wondering why more people hadn't posted in this... And I bet anything it's because most people don't even know the names of the members in their "favorite" band. The ironing is delicious.

Yoda
Lead Singer: Billy-Joe Anderson (Greenday). Sings for my favorite band, 'nuff said. Guitarist: Billy-Joe Anderson (Greenday). It's not his fault he can play guitar so well too... Second Guitarist: Noodles (The Offspring). Because he hates a lot of thing... he hates a lot of people that are lame. Bassist: Jason Newstead (Formerly Metallica) / Mike Dirnt (Greenday)/Steve Harris (Iron Maiden). They all love playing and jamming with the crowd... and they do it so well. Drummer: Tré Cool (Yes, you guessed it, Greenday). Greenday are about as close as you can get to the ultimate band anyway... and Tré is a funny guy.
