Shy
I read a lot of magazines, here are some of my favorites... Electronic Gaming Monthly: I have been subscribing to this for three years, and I keep every issue (They are all stashed under my drawer, heh). In my opinion they are the best gaming magazine out there; their news is almost always %100 accurate, and they are unibiased when they review games. Ever since Hsu became Editor-In-Chief the quality seems like it has been going downhill though. My only complaint is that they have way too many ads. Animerica: I do not subscribe to this, but I buy it almost every month. It is the only anime maagzine available in my area, so I do not have very much to compare it to. I like their reviews system, and their monthly columns. But I wish that they would devote more space to anime reviews, and less space to gaming and model building. Disney Magazine: What? I am a huge fan of animation, especially Disney, so it is no surprise that I subscribe to this maagzine. Most of the magazine is a gigantic advertisement for Disney's latest projects, but every so often they write something about Disney history. -Shy
Semjaza
The only magazine I subscribe to is EGM. Mostly because I usually find a trick where I get a year's subscription for free. I've bought a few Spin and Rolling Stones magazines, but quickly realized that they were total tripe and never bought another. There are some good local magazines here though, such as Slab. Rhys Mayiessen
I don't really read a lot of magazines mostly books but I have read Seventeen and PSM (Playstation Magazine). I read Seventeen for the longest time then I got bored with it so I decided to get PSM which will help me decide on what games I can get^^

Red
I buy Computer and Video Games over here.. which I suppose is the equivalent to Electronic Gaming Monthly, since the reviews are very unbiased and the writers are excellent.
Posthumous
I'm subscribed to EGM and PSM.EGM is so freaking cool, but Jeanne left...*sniff*.At least she still contibutes. BigCajones
I always buy games magazines and there is a massive variety to choose from which I usually vary from time to time. My favourite used to be the Official Nintendo Magazine. Now I get GamesMaster(multi-format mag), XBM (Xbox mag) and I'm subscribed to something a mag in England called Special Reserve. It's like a mail order catalog kind of thing, which is pretty cool. I occasionly buy Rock Sound and Kerrang also. :toothy: I always change when new mags come around and others lack in detail and rise in price. In England celebrity gossip mags are the most popular ... What sad, sad people we are.
Syk3
The only magazine I'm subscribed to currently is a gaming one, called Electronic Gaming Monthly. I really like this magazine a lot because things are so easy to find, their reviews are unbiased, and their information is generally acurate. It helps me choose the game I really want to buy before I pay up for it, or even rent it. The acurate information keeps me up-to-date on all of the latest gaming news, and prepares me for a certain game or system. The whole magazine is great, and the letters are fun to read, but I really wish they had kept the Letter Art, which they recently discarded for some reason. Another magazine I like is NewType USA, an anime magazine. The content, visuals, and just about everything in that magazine is amazing, and it even comes with a free DVD in every issue of about 3 or so eps in a series. Problem is, a year subscription is around $90.

treton_noir
Guitar World. very well written, very informative, and most of the time, they cover the talented and not the popular. plus, every issue has 6 or 7 full songs and a ton of riffs in it. if you play guitar or bass, i recommend checking this out. Duo Maxwell
I don't really buy magazines.. my um used to buy me Tv Hits, but I hate that mag now. I usually bum off my friends and read their's which is usually Dolly, Gorlfriend, Cosmo, etc.. More often than not I'm ranting on how stupid and repressing the stuff that they have in them is, I mean really do teenage girls need to see all those skinny beautiful models in "cool" clothes? Yes I know a lot of the pictures get air-brushed, but seeing that stuff makes people think that we all shoulf be like that.
James
I don't buy magazines much anymore. I used to buy EGM and Gamer's Republic, but now I buy neither. I occasionally buy Hyper or Nintendo Gamer (Australian EGM and Nintendo Power equivalents respectively). Most of the stuff in magazines I can get on the web these days, anyway. I also tend to buy Wheels and Motor quite a lot now...both are excellent magazines. My involvement with magazines is really different now; I write for Nintendo Gamer, rather than read it. lol And last year, Dan Hsu of EGM (I don't know if he's still the EIC since I don't read the magazine) emailed me and complimented me on one of my articles. So that was nice, since I remember reading his stuff in EGM a while ago.
Cora Jane 2
Well magazines.... I tend to get Guitar World, Guitar One, Skateboard (Transworld/Big Brother), and then there's one other Skateboard magazine I tend to get. I go and pick these up when I have the cash flow coming in. I usually go for the Guitar Mags first... then if I have extra cash besides what I am spending on the Guitar Mags, I get the skateboard ones. What can I say... I love to watch skateboarding and skaters.... lol... I used to skate for crying out loud... but then I got hurt... *trails off babbling about when she got severly hurt -- no more sports for Frogger... *sigh* ah well* But yeah... once in a while I also get or peruse the hair mags. Mainly when I get in the mood to cut my hair... lol... which lately, has been quite often. I like to peruse the short hair mags, and try to find a new style... see since my hair is half-way down my back, when I chop my hair... I got to make sure I find what I like... and I think I got the style in mind.... lol (two long strips in front, that go to my chin, and the rest short and spikey... say maybe an inch to an inch and a half long) but yeah... that's about it. Kei
Usually when I'm on my break at the library, I'll pick up the latest copy of WWE magazine we have to see the cover article. I've gotten into ym here lately. I also used to be subscribed to Beckett Pokémon Collector and Beckett DBZ Collector, but it ran out and I never renewed it. I pretty much lost interest in them. I'm considering subscribing to Animerica and Shonen Jump here soon, though. The news and other things can help me do research for the website I'm about to start writing for. ^^

Syk3
Originally posted by Yu Law man what I wouldn't do for a good PSM right now um is EGM better?? never paid them much mind
In my opinion, yes, for both the Official PlayStation Magazine and the PlayStation Magazine. I can deffinitly say that it's better than the PlayStation magazine (being thicker, easier to scroll through, and unbiased information) since my brother subscribes to it, but maybe the demo disk in Official PlayStation magazine may change my mind. :p But then, I don't remember the information as high of quality as EGM, and plus, EGM has enough PS info for anyone; I used to get it for only that, since all I had in the way of next-generation systems was PS2, and I really wanted to focus on that more than any other system.
