Sleep Walking....Do you do it?

Just like the title says. Do you sleep walk? I have a friend who told me today that she had a sister who sleep walks fairly often. She also said that the other night her sister was playing her drumset while sleeping....I've never sleep walked myself (unless I got up from my bed, walked around, and wound up in my bed again when I woke up. Who knows?), so I was wondering if anyone here did. Also, I was wondering what causes people to sleep walk. Is it that they get too caught up in their dreams? Or is it something else?

I actually dont think I can. I prop a chair against my door, as there is no lock, so i'd just slam into the chair or the door, unless I moved it- Which would create a nice lot of noise, since I dont think your dexterity would be at its best while asleep.

I've been known to talk and roll around in my sleep, I even kicked in my sleep. I also fall out of the bed several times a week in the middle of the night, hm.

But Sleepwalking i've never done.

No, I don't sleep walk, but it really freaks me out what people may accidently do. o_O I mean, I've heard stories of where people would actually open the door to their house and walk outside. Otherwise, the only instance of sleep walking I've heard about in my family is my brother claiming that he woke up in the bath tub. As for sleep walking in general, I don't think that getting caught up in their dreams has much to do with someone sleep walking.

I guess I have..but only twice!!
One time, when I was little..I woke up inbetween mai parents in their bed...i was convinced that they carried me there...

The other time...once again...when I was little...mai dad said that I went downstairs crying...and I said I was scared, and he said he'd go tuck me in again...and he just had to go turn off the TV first...so I was like OK!! and mai dad went to go turn off the TV...and when he came back to the hallway...I was gone...so he went upstairs...and I was asleep in my bed....
Those are the only times I have ever slept walked...it would be wierd to sleep walk regularly..

But what causes sleep walking is that.... quoting my science teacher...
When u wake up from a deep slumber, it takes your brain a while to process what is going on...so you don't nessesarily talk or any thing...but the point is, you probably go back to bed before you realize you were even gone..or...you run into something and wake up...or get your brain to wake up...like if u baby sit any little children and they fall asleep watching a movie that thier mom said they could watch before bed..and u pick them up to carry them to bed..the child won't respond to you, and it will look around oblivious to whats going on..kindof trying to process whats going on...so, because the brain wasn't processing entirely, the person doesn't really remember what happened when their brains are processing quicker.
Either that...or sleep-walking some unexplained phenomenon...

they probably didn't wake you up 'cuz if you wake-up a sleepwalker, they can die. well, that's what i heard, not sure if it's true.

i've never slept walk, but i do have long piontless conversations, and i've been known to sit up and cross my legs, i also have these wierd dreams where i can see everything that goes on around me, but i'm motionless, and then things try to pull me off my bed, but when i wake up i'm in the exact same spot. also, when i was little, i use to see little gremlins and cats running around the house, and i use to have visions of people's deaths out of nowhere.

I hold very coherant conversations, apparently. Mum keeps saying she's going to tape me one day, but I don't think it will come about...

Anyway, it can get annoying, because when someone wakes me up [usually after I've asked them to the night before] I have it programmed into my system to reply with "Okay, Okay, I'm getting up", without actually waking up. >.<

I sleep walk but not all the time. Actually I sleep walk and talk O.o The first time I can remember would be when I woke up tore off my covers and started looking for something. I even turned on the light. My mom saw my light on and asked me what I was doing. I said that I was looking for the marker lid. All she said was go back to bed and I did happily.

The second time I actually opened my door and started to walk down the stairs even though it was totally dark. I started yelling "Mom! Mom!" then my dad came out of there room and said that mom and him and gone to bed and then told me to go to bed. Of course I did so immediately.

The last time I remember(well sort of) was when no one even noticed. I'm not even sure of what I did but I remember waking up in my bed and my door was open (which is usually closed) and my cat was staring at me right at the door.

Sleepwalking kind of freaks me out though. I haven't done it in a while and I don't want to...

I sleptwalk once a long time ago, well according to my brother I did. He said when he came home from work, which is late at night, he found me asleep on the sofa and carried me back to my bed. I don't sleepwalk anymore, though. But I am afraid what I might happen if I did, like I would run into a wall or something else that might inflict some pain on me.

*fades back in from the crowd*

I used to sleepwalk constantly as a kid, I don't anymore wich is somewhat of a mystery to me but just as long as I don't wake up at the bottom of the stairs again with a broken nose I'm fine...

The summer camp where I work durring break still tie my right hand and other campers to the cot just incase it happens.

I've never done it. I sleep talk all the time, I don't know why. I usually ask the air about video games. I think one time I called my PS2 a stupid piece of junk. Of course, that's my favorite system, so I didn't mean it.

I don't think anybody in my family sleep walks. I have a friend that does it all the time, he gets up, turns on the TV and starts yelling at it. He's very very weird.

I've never been told that I talk, walk, or otherwise imitate daytime actions in my sleep.

When I was little, I was pretty sure that I screamed in my sleep, though..I was always very confused when everyone said they hadn't heard a thing. Seemed too real to be just a dream. *shudders*
