A riddle for all.

Hmmm...you could ask him (or tell him) to go away. Then you wouldn't be lying or telling the truth, because a question or command doesn't state a fact. If you say "Go away!" or "Will you go away?" you are not stating a fact. Maybe if you ask nicely he'll leave you alone.

There is no question. If you say something that's true, or say something that's false, then that can be your answer. There is an actual answer, and no you can't take his nose or steal his stuff. Here's a hint, the answer lies somewhere in the way he's going to kill you.

that kind of question from the begginign makes little sence... if any to begin with.. for it to even seem somewhat like a question it should be "if you had to chose between your son OR daughter...bleh bleh bleh"
So you're telling me, if you ever have to choose between life and death, you're gonna try and go for some third option?

the key thing is the word "between".. it can be worded in two ways:

If you had to choose your son or daughter, and

If you had to choose BETWEEN you son and daughter

so no.. he actually worded it right..

but the riddle was terrible..

ENIGMA:
You tell him he's going to kill you with a spell..
I think.. o_O.. I haven't heard that one before but it makes sense..
if you tell him he'll kill you with a spell, then he can't kill you, because if he kills you with a spell, you were telling the truth, and he should kill you with a sword.. but if he kills you with a sword you were lying, so he should kill you with a spell.. so he can't do either
I took the nerve to read that, and I can't get any sense out of it.. Actually, I think I understood the first riddle more than this one. o_0;

Ok so the riddle was bad, but you don't need to be so harsh. I mean come on, it's not like he just dissed your mom or anything.

Mabye if there were two roads and when you said either the son or the daughter he would point the wrong way and you would take the oppisite road. Or somthing to that effect, just stop ripping on the poor kid.

And I understand Dues answer. Very clever, very clever indeed.

Do I hear a little bit of Comic Book Guy ^^
I agree that wasn't a riddle at all. A riddle is logical, this was not. It was (if something at all intelligent) philosophical, not a riddle at all.
