Dragonstar
:D I was wondering if there were any Red Dwarf fans here aside from me really.. not much else to say. Well... Lister's damn funny, I guess that's somethin' ....Do any americans here know of Red Dwarf, or is it even shown outside of the U.K.? :D
Semjaza
It is shown on PBS stations in the states... The one here in Chicago owns the local rights to the show, but refuses to show it for who knows what reason.
Dragonstar
 I can't see a reason not to show it either.. I can't see anything in the show that could possibly offend anyone, It's a sci-fi spoof for pete's sakes!:D
Manic Webb
I'm a big Red Dwarf fan! It's one of my favorite British comedies (okay, so I've only seen 5 other comedies. That's beside the point). My two favorite characters are Rimmer and Holly. The way they treat Rimmer is so funny. And you gotta love Holly. He/She is too crazy. Holly: "Purple alert. Purple alert." Lister: "Purple alert? What's a purple alert?" Holly: "Well it's not a blue alert, but it's not quite a red alert. It's actually more of a mauve alert." Wasn't there supposed to be a Red Dwarf IX or movie or something? Juu
Hmm... I had to do a project on Red Dwarves, and I kept getting websites about a game and movie called 'Red Dwarf'. @.@;;;; I never heard of it before I kept bumping into the websites. Is the game related to the show?

Dragonstar
:D I have heard rumours of a movie, but I dunno if they're true, this is the first I've heard of the game so I'm gonna do a search now... I think Lister's the best character, has anyone seen the one where they're in prison and Kryten makes a winkie cos he doesn't want to be classed as a girl? Very funny.. Has anyone heard the Munchkin Rimmer Song? He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer, Without him life would be much grrrimmer More reliablre tan a garden strimmer He will never need a zimmer.. I'm not sure if they're in the right order, but that is damn funny, If you have the video clip to go with, it's even funnier..:D
Solo Tremaine
Yes- a movie is and has been scripted, they're just waiting for the green light from the studio/BBC according to a recent interview with... Grant Naylor on IGN, I think. Series Nine is a possibility after that, when they know whether the film's going ahead or not. I love Red Dwarf. I've watched it since about series V and I loved every second of it. I've gone back and watch it time and time again but it still makes me laugh. The characters are great, the stories are funny and the dialogue's very funny and cutting. Although I thought the last two series were a little lacklustre, for some reason. They were still good, though.
Red
"Mr Lister Sir.. I cooked that Lobster to perfection and you want to put KETCHUP ON IT?! KETCHUP?!" I love Red Dwarf, lol. It's always been one of my favourite comedies, especially since the series moved away from that awful big red ship. If a movie has been scripted, I can't wait. ^_^

Dragonstar
:D I did a search for Red Dwarf on google to see if I could find out anything about a game, the only thing it came up with was a drinking game, (which was really funny by the way) but nothing else.. :D By the way: Final Flash.. theat avatar is REALLY creepy.. Red
[i]Originally posted by Mr Monkey Man. Especially due to the fact that they seemed very restricted, considering the size of the ship. I mean, Lister and Rimmer are stuck with bunk beds, but couldn't they steal the captains quarters? :p
Manic Webb
I gotta admit, I didn't like Kochanski (aka the self-proclaimed Queen of the Universe) at first, but she grew on me when she humbled-up a little in season 8. She probably only had one shining moment: the episode where she went insane from Starbug's squeeky pipes. What I never understood is that if they could hop to any time period they wanted to, anywhere they wanted to (remember they episode where they went to 20th century United States for chicken curry, and fouled-up President Kennedy's assassination?), why didn't they just go straight to Earth in their original time (pre-Lister's cryosleep)? Manic Webb
I hated what they did to Rimmer. He had barely become a hard-light hologram, when he suddenly gets chosen to become the new Ace Rimmer and leaves. Then when he finally comes back during season 8, it's just a clone of the original Rimmer without any of the hologram's memories.
LostProphet
OMG, I love that show. Rimmer is probably one of the most uptight people anyone can know, yet his character just seems to walk into a screw up somehow
