Red
In a lot of ways I agree with Heaven's Cloud. 13 is way too young to be even thinking about weed, let alone smoking it. Then again, you shouldn't smoke it anyway. If you want to completely mess up your (And the girl's) life by having sex now, go right ahead. But boy, be prepared to face the consequences should anything happen. I drunk and smoke like a madman when I was around 15.. and I regretted it. Now all I do is rarely (St. Patrick's Day coming up, I can't lie) have the odd drink.

TheDarkOtaku
I'm sorry and no offense to any of the members here, but I RESENT parties, dances, and social gatherings that involve stupidity. I can't imagine why people of my age (15) must go out and experiment with dangerous objects/substances/girls. It is so immature and should be monitored more closely by authorities. I have never ever been to a party like that, nor do I plan to. My idea of having a fun social night is getting a couple of friends, going to my house, and watching all the anime or playing all the video games we can while eating popcorn like crazy. Yes, it may seem sad to some. But nevertheless its fun. :D I would reccomend you do stuff like that as a positive approach to your situation. Remember dude, having a good time with peers should be non-detrimental your life. That is why people who push narcotics, alchohol, and girls are not friends. This concludes my rant/advice post. :)

eleanor
You don't care what your parents think? You're grades are good? YOU DON'T CARE THAT YOU'RE GROUNDED? (crap, I no I hate it when I'm grounded) First of all, I'm 13 also, and I'm currently recovering from this whole "I don't care what anyone else thinks so I'm going to do whatever I want and I'll be fine" stage, and it was horrible. Unless your parents have mistreated you (and don't say they gave a youa spanking or made you do workbooks), I don't think you have any right to not care about what they think. Do you realize everything they've done for you? So what if they screamed at you? You're the one who "experimented" with weed. Your thirteen years old, and you should be responsible for everything you do. Okay, so you said your grades are good. Does this mean you study all the time or what? What do you define as good grades anyway? The only think I know is, is that if you keep this up, your grades WILL go spiraling down and down until you have a F or something. Failing in school is something you joke around with with your friends and laugh about. (unless you're on weed) I know this cliche is used too much, but knowledge is power. Do you want to be a druggie that sleeps in the streets and end up dying knowing that nobody's gonna care. Oh, and by the way. Just because you don't go to a couple of parties doesn't mean you're a loser. I hate people who think like that.

DeathKnight
I wish people would stop defending parents in this thread, its stupid. Personally, I hate my parents, as in the true definition of hate, IE I want them dead. Now, Sushi/Cyko/Dan here has obviously begun to delve into what the more risky parts of the world can offer. He might be going a bit overboard for his age, but that doesnt mean we have to drag how great and *big fat dopey smile* loveable parents are! So lets leave the tainted greatness of the 'family unit' out of this discussion. [/end animosity] As long as he keeps his grades up, and keeps his FUTURE in track a little experementing under a condition where he controls himself wont lead to sort of nightmarish future as you have painted it to be Anime Gurl. If he was failing and drugging out constantly, i'd be quoteing you and vouching for you in high regard, but so far what he's done is just a test.
G.D. Ryoko
You do all of that stuff at 13 ? Wow thats heavy. I am 14 and I never even thought about doing anything like that. I know if I did I would be dead. Mabye you should do like a lot of people said on this thread. Just party and have fun. I feel that you should not do things like that at your age. My friends are all cutting school smoking and having sex in parking lots. Their grades are slowly slipping. I know you may not be like my friends but you still should be careful. You never know what might happen. *Leaves and gets ready for friday playing games cause I am not going to the skating ring to do who knows what at midnight like my friends.*

Lady Macaiodh
I really have no room to talk on this thread. But there is a better time to experiment. I think, at your age, you don't quite understand the possible consequences of smoking weed. First of all, it's not good for adolescents to smoke it, because it stunts your emotional growth. Basically, if you start smoking it now & continue to do so, you will remain a 13-year-old emotionally/mentally/personality wise in many ways until you quit. Statistically, you will be more likely to have behavioral problems & get into trouble. Your brain is growing & THC disrupts your neurotransmitters, stunting the growth of your brain. Not only are these scientific facts, I have personally witnessed this sort of thing many times with friends & loved ones (and also in myself). Besides, I've been in enough rehab to know. Secondly, as a person with a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge, it is much easier to get caught than you think. That's another thing -- no one thinks they'll get caught. You might not care about being grounded, but what if your parents or a friend's parents catch you again, or more than a few times? All it takes is one phone call to the police, or for you to get caught by the wrong person, & you go straight to J.V. And if you're over 18, it will follow you for life. And it's really embarrassing when you're trying to find a job. Do whatever you decide, but be sure you're aware of what it entails.
Queen Asuka
*Reads this thread and her jaws drops* Parties, Beer, Girls, Sex, and Drugs and you're only 13? I can't believe you are into these types of things at your age. If you were at least 17 or 18 it wouldn't bother me as bad, but you are only 13! You are still a BABY! It makes me sad...it really does. I am sad for you. I hate the way that things like this are just so accepted in today's society. No one has values anymore. It's all about sex and drugs and partying. It really makes me feel outcasted because I'm against it. And all you people here defending it upset me as well, especially since most of YOU are only 14 and 15. None of you hardly are over 16. And you older people should be setting a good example instead of promoting this type of behavior. Well, you probably don't care what I say either way, but I really hope you get out of this. Pretty girls with morals. I wish there were more like this. Unfortunatly, being immorral is part of the cool culture today. But I gotta say that this sort of opinion is rare. Most people dont like those who look down on drug use and infidelity. I guess what I am getting at is that... All of you should listen to asuka. My views on a certain illegal substance are not relavant to the situation and the fact is... Kids should act like children. Highschool is not the place for experimentation; unfortunatly asuka is gonna learn where that place is. (hint hint, any college in the country) anyway, I just wanna say I am proud of asuka for her moral stand on this sort of stuff. Change
Experimentation doesn't take place at college! Get out...! It's where I become a cultured person to please my parents, learn about cool stuff, and rot my mind playing video games 19/7 (I do need sleep). As for doing stuff like that at high school, I disaprove of it. High School for me at least is a wasteland, and most of my peers are true llamas (losers, jerks, idots). Do things for yourself, not them.
Anna
You have no perspective whatsoever of your consequences at thirteen. IF you did, you would NOT even CONSIDER going to a party and doing the things you've claimed to have done. I have friends who started partying when they were young. We were the same ages; I knew them while they were going through that phase. Then we drifted apart because of school, people living with different parents, etc. A few years later I ran into one friend in particular. She wasn't the same person. She had been in rehab two or three times, she had been raped, kicked out of her house.... all because of the stupid choices she made. Do you think she valued the high of a joint of the buzz from a beer anymore? Do you even get WHY people DO that stuff?? IT'S ADDICTING. Who knows if your body is one of those that becomes dependant; once may not be all you do. That .... stupid little moment isn't worth years of regret and mending. And ..... I swear if I saw you in person I'd probably knock you against a wall. Sex? AT THIRTEEN??? What the crap are you thinking?! That's exactly it-- you're NOT thinking. Let me tell you something: it's not a game, it's not a toy. You DON'T PLAY AROUND. GEEZ I wanna go break something.... how can ... rrrrrrhhh quit being so naive! The lack of parental controls is what can largely be attributed to teenage pregnancy and academic struggling. The fact that Dan's parents care about what he's doing, combined with his respect for their decision and his success in school prove that he's not a loser--even if he has made some mistakes. It's now up to him to learn from those mistakes and avoid repeating them. And really, there are many young teenagers that are more mature than adults. I've met many young members here, some Dan's age, who seem to be very intelligent and mature. Granted, there are young people that are immature and make poor decisions despite proper parenting, but for the most part, they're the exception. nichire
IMO Your friends should be your friends no matter what! and they should respect what your bounderies are. I have hung out with ppl doing drugs and drinking and having sex I have been to their parties, a lot actually and ya know if you start double thinking that maynot be the place you wanna be, than maybe it isn't rite for you I know some ppl think losing themsleves in that stuff, and i do mean losing themsleves because it causes perminate brain damage (brain cells do NOT reproduce!! so you end up with really big holes in your brain. i am not JOKING!) but if you know the consequences and you sure you're doing this to yourself for YOURSELF and not the lil chippy's that'll end up working at McDonalds tilll they're dead Go ahead but if you want to be yourself and stand up for your indivuality plz reconsider this this choice may be ending up as life or death ~nichi
