Also, I loved when the two girls were fighting in the bathroom, and one of the girls began doing tae bo. Annnd, that part when the boy was reading the magazine. Annd the whole dinner scene. I couldn't stop laughing!
That was hilarious! ^-^; Anywho, what are your thoughts on the movie? ^_^

Semjaza
The whole point of the movie is to play upon all those stereotypes... lol. Anyway, I'll watch it once it hits DVD or whatever. I love Steve Martin and his sarcastic-ness, and I've not honestly heard any bad things about it from anyone I know that actually went to see it. Charles
I saw this movie last Thursday, I think. I'm always a bit skeptical of films that use Odd Couple style pairings to move the plot along because they either excel incredibly well, or fall flat of their face. I-Spy is a good example of the latter, where the gags are painfully tired and two funny actors come across as thoroughly boring. I saw the potential for Bringing Down the House to end up in that same boat, but it didn't. I liked it a lot. Steve Martin is an awesome physical comedian. At first, I wasn't sure if he'd play well off Queen Latifah enough to keep the movie interesting for an hour and a half. Black stereotypes have been done to death in Hollywood, right? But, I think that Martin and Latifah had a nice chemistry. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good laugh. It's not hilarious, but it's not boring by any means. Lady Macaiodh
Well, it's number 1 in America so I guess it doesn't much matter whether it's good or not. :therock: I'll see it on video. I don't go to theaters unless I'm really hyped about a movie.

G.D. Ryoko
I saw part of it. I really liked it from what I saw. I liked that pool scene with the pool house and (WARNING SPOILER) the fighting. That had me laughing all night. My friends and I joke about that part all the time.

Yu Yu Hakusho!
See, that's the thing about some shows and movies. Some people feel offended by watching movies making fun of stereotypes, even if that movie is making fun of EVERYONE, including white people, folks, if that makes you feel any better. This movie sounds hilarious and I'll be sure to see it once it comes out on DVD. I'm sure most of you know how South Park is. They make fun of EVERYONE!!! That's what I love about it, even if they sit there and call white people crackers. They don't leave anyone out. And you know what? If you don't like that sort of thing, just don't watch it...I got in a big fight with my friend the other day talking about a movie like this one because she was offended by the way they were talking about people in the movie....
