Ryo finally found his prey. A rather chubby and arrogant kid named Ray was perfect for a duel.

Ryo: You up for a duel?
Ray: You? Yuo couldn't duel for beans!
Ryo: Watch me.
Ray: Hah! You'll be a waste of time.

Ryo: I'll start off with my Kaiku the Exorcist.
Ray: I'll just lay this card face down in attack mode!
Ryo: Do you even know how to play? Yuo can only lay it in face down defense mode.
Ray: Whatever...I'll lay it in Defense.
Ryo: Go Kaiku, use your ancient magic!
Ray: Aww crap, my Harpie's dead.
[i]Ryo raised and eybrow quizically.[/i]
Ray: I'll just play Lava Battle Guard!
Ryo: Amatuer. Its 5 stars. No wonder you need glasses.
Ray: Oh shut it. I'll just play this in defense mode.
Ryo: I'll sacrifice my Kaiku to play Demon Summon! Go blow his monster to shreds.
[/i]A weak defense monster was blasted by a thunderbotl from the skull demon.[/i]
Ray: Darn all I can do is play another defense monster. Your turn.
Ryo: One Fairy Meteor Crush thrown in withsome Demon Summon butt-kicking. Stir until frothy. Not to mention this face down card I'll set.
Ray: Awwwwww crap! My lifepoints.

RA: 3500

Ray: Well you're dead now! Change of Heart! Booya!
Ryo: You forgotten my trap? Magic Cylinders.
Ray: Damn!

RA: 1000

Ryo: Now my turn. Go Demon Summon!
[i]The skull fiend devasted Ray's lifepoints. Ryo couldn't help revealing a smirk. Ryo walked up to him, and recieved 4 locator cards from a complaining duelist in defeat.
After the duel, Ryo went around to find Ryan. He hadn't seen him for awhile. Ryo searched everywhere. Then he went to the cafe to spot Joey.[/i]

Ryo: You seen Ryan around?
Joey: Haven't seen him for awhile. Why?
Ryo: I haven't seen him either.
Joey: That's odd. Wonder if something's up.
Ryo: I better go find him.

[i]Ryo ran out of the cafe to search in all the hidden places. He knew somethign was up, and had to act quick. He first went to check the old arena where he was taken earlier. e thought Ryan could be there. But who knows?[/i]

OOC: There will be one more elimination and then the finals will start.

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan didn't know where he was because the man had put a blindfold over his eyes, all he knew was that he was somwhere dark.

Just then the man removed Ryan's blindfold and Ryan opened and blinked a few times and started to observe his surroundings. Just then a man walked out of the shadows. It was a young man with black medium length hair that was in a long thin ponytail. He walked up to Ryan and took his tanned hand and moved Ryan's head so he was looking this man in the face, and when he did Ryan could feel a cold finger sliding down his back, this man's eyes were icy blue and appeared to have no soul, just harsh cruel malice in them. He smirked and dropped Ryan's head again. He turned to the men holding him.[/i]

?????: Prep him.

Men: Yes lord.

Ryan: Who are you?

???: Well, you might as well know the name of your executioner. My name is Ashok.

[i]And with that the two men knocked Ryan out and hauled his unconscious body to the same dueling arena Ryo had been taken to. This time a massive spotlight flared into Ryan's eyes. He looked up and saw Ashok looking at him with a manical grin on his face.[/i]

Ashok: We'll play a game. Now, if you lose you'll fall to your death. If I lose then. I lose and you can leave. Now, lets begin.

[i]"I can't lose, I won't. Espeically if my life is on the line." Ryan thought as he drew his first five cards.[/i][/COLOR]

[Hyper]

Ryo rushed past the cargo boxes to where he was first taken. It seemed like a good place to look. Ryo hadn't been there for awhile. He got a bit confused when turnign corners, but was able to make it into the dueling chamber.

In there he found Ryan on a platform. On the other, a tall man with black hair stood. Ryo could tell another deathmatch duel was going to start. He should do something.

Ryo would have run up to see if he could release Ryan from the hold that he was locked into. But, two guards, obviously loyal to Ashok snuck up behind him and restrained Ryo. He was helpless. He thought abotu breaking free, but decided to wait. He wasn't sure what would happen. Nor would he be able to do anything, but watch to see if Ryan could duel his way out of things. If not, someone mgiht have to take drastic measures.

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan looked over to his side and saw Ryo being restrained by Ashok's flunkies. He gritted his teeth as he looked at his hand. Vorse Raider, United We stand, Summoned Skull, Mage Power, and Gearfried.[/i]

Ryan: I'll draw (swords of revealing light) and summon Gearfried in attack mode and I also play Swords of Revealing light. I end my turn.

Ashok: Fool. I'll draw and summon my Vorse Raider. But since I can't attack I'll end my turn.

Ryan: Fine. I draw (Blue Eyes) and summon my Vorse Raider in attack mode. Your turn.

Ashok: I'll play one monster face down and end my turn.

Ryan: I draw (royal command) and set one m/t face down and sacrafice my two monsters for my Blue Eyes White Dragon!!! I now equip it with Mage Power!!! taking him up 1500 ATK points. (Blue Eyes->4500 ATK power) Now, Blue Eyes. Attack!

[i]The dragon fired its massive attack at the Vorse Raider.[/i]

Ashok: Heh. I know that your facedown card must be Royal Command.

[i]Ryan fought back his surprise but it showed. Ashok just continued to laugh.[/i]

Ashok: You see, my men have followed all of your strategies and we know everything. Now, I'll play Mystical Space Typhoon and destroy your card.

Ryan: Damn. My Royal Command.

Ashok: Hehe. I'll end my turn.

Ryan: I'll draw (mask of darkness) and set one monster face down in defense mode. Your turn.

Ashok: I sacrafice my monster for my Earl of Demise and equip it with 2 Axes of despair. Your turn.

Ryan: Gladly. I'll flip my face down monster which is the Mask of Darkness, I now retrive my trap card. And end my turn by placing one m/t facedown.

Ashok: Fine then. I'll now play my ritual card. Curse of the Masked Beast. I sacrafice my Earl and magnet warrior. End turn.

Ryan: Fine, I draw (Blue Eyes number 2) I attack your Masked Beast for 1300.

Ashok: Damn. 100 LP left.

Ryan: Gee, your so scary.

Ashok: Quiet boy. Oh your swords are now gone. Gee, i don't know what i can do to stop that dragon. Hmmm..

[i]Ashok looked at his hand and then at Ryan. This boy had talent. He was having second thoughts on having him killed. His hand had some of the best combos. He decided to just lose on purpose.[/i]

Ashok: I'll set this mosnter face down and then play another Mysticaly Space Typhoon on your face down card.

Ryan: Darn! My Royal command again.

Ashok: End turn.

Ryan: I'll have my Blue Eyes attack your card.

Ashok: Man Eater Bug. I destroy your Blue Eyes.

Ryan: Huh? Okay, but i win by mask of Darkness.

Ashok: Very well. Go.[/COLOR]

Ryo was in a slight state of shock. He expected the duel to be more of challenge. He expected Ashok to do better. But maybe he overestimated him. Ryo didn' care much.
The guards had Ryo by the arms, so a quick elbow and good kick sent both of them to the ground. Ryo dusted off his hands and went over to Ryan.

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan and Ryo left the room, Ryan was limping a little because of the blow to his head had made him rather dizzy, so Ryo had to support him up. The two headed for Kaiba's office to tell him about what happened.

After getting back on the top deck, Ryan said he felt better and could walk on his own. Yami had been walking around the main deck just to make his rounds, as he rounded a corner he saw Ryan and Ryo standing at the top of a flight of stairs and Ryan was gasping for breath. Yami ran over to them with a look of worry on his face.[/i]

Yami: What happened?

Ryan: I was kidnapped and forced to duel some guy named Ashok, and Ryo managed to help me up the stairs.

Yam: Ashok?

Ryan: That's what his name was. Ashok, he had medium length..

Yami: We should definetly tell Kaiba.

Ryo: Right. I'm coming with ya.

Yami: I don't think that's...

Ryan: Let him...He helped me.

Yami: Ok.

[i]The three headed for Kaiba's office, thankfully he was there, he was looking extremely mad, of course who wouldn't when they find out another duelist has been attacked. He intwined his finger together and looked at Ryan and Ryo as they explained what had happened.[/i]

Kaiba: Great, we just had another duelist attacked. One was attacked last night. Looks like this Ashok guy is getting more comfortable with attacking duelists. What I'm worried about is that he may start killing duelists. But he may not. I don't know.

Yami: Whatever the case, he seems confident enough to capture duelists like that. Anyways, do you think he could be the man writing those letters??

Kaiba: No doubt. I'm sure he is. But, what is Apophis?? I looked that up and found nothing about that. Every...Wait. Lemme check..

[i]Kaiba bolted to a bookshelf and yanked off one on the top shelf and flipped through it. His eyes widened with shock.[/i]

Kaiba: No..This can't be..There has to be something off about this.

Ryan: What is it?

Kaiba: I'll tell you later. Now, the three of you. Come with me.

[i]The four headed out the door and to the main dueling arena. Just as they were on the second deck four other men appeared with duel disk systems. They pulled back their hoods to reveal smirking faces.[/i]

Man 1: We challange all four of you to a Two on Two duel. Now! Get ready to duel.

Kaiba: You're on. Ryan and I will team up.

Ryan: Ok

Ryo: Cool. Yugi? Shall we team up?

Yami: I see no problem. Okay, Ryo and I take on you two.

[i]Yugi pointed to the last two. Ryan and Kaiba would take on the first two. They all draw their cards and get ready to duel.[/i][/COLOR]

???A: You two will duel me.
???B: And me! The two figures started up their duel disks.
Ryo: that's you and me, Yugi.
Yami: Right! I'll take the right one, you take the left.
Ryo: Sure thing.

???C: You two will face me and him!
Ryan: Kaiba and I versus you two? Bring it.
Kaiba. Heh. This'll just be a waste of my time.
???D: Alright then. Let's go!

Ryo: I'll play my Demon Soldier in atatck mode, with two cards face down.
???A: I'll lay a monster in defense mode, then lay one Magic/Trap card set. Go.
Yami: I'll play Feral Imp, equipping him with Horn of the Unicorn. That'll end my turn for now.
???B: Hah! I'll play Dark Elf in attack mode and attack you, Ryo!
[i]The ferl Imp jumped in the way of the Elf, destroying both of them in the process. Yugi just saved Ryo.[/i]
Ryo: Thanks Yugi, but you sure about that? Now you're open to attacks.
Yugi: Don't worry. i have somethign up my sleeve.

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan was actually kind of giddy. Here he was dueling side by side with Seto Kaiba. This was gonna get good. Ryan knew Kaiba's new pet project card was Obelisk but his babies were his BEWD. Ryan drew his five cards. Vorse Raider, Humanoid Slime, Harpie's Feather Duster, and Magic Cylinder.

Kaiba: Was a little mad, first off he couldn't believe he hadn't checked that book for that name and now these fools were in his way. He looked at his hand. Gemini Elf, Pot of Greed, Cyber Jar, Negate Attack, and his first BEWD. Ryan would be going first.[/i]

Ryan: I'll draw ( Swords of Revaling light) and summon my Vorse Raider in attack mode and set this m/t down and end my turn.

Kaiba: I draw. (Graceful Charity) and play pot of greed and draw two more cards (Sangan, Flute of summoning dragon.) and play this monster face down and end my turn.

Man B: I'll summon my Sonic duck in attack mode. I end my turn.

Man A: I summon my Gemini Elf and end my turn.

Ryan: I'll draw (Harpie's Brother) and summon Harpie's Brother in attack mode. I now end my turn.

Kaiba: I draw (Lord of D.) and play Graceful Chairity. (Sagi, Deck Destruction Virus, and Obelisk). HA! I'll end this match now. I'll flip Cyber Jar over and destroy all our monsters.

Ryan: Oh. I see what you're doing.

Kaiba: Now, I set my monsters that were drawn on the field. (Maha Vailo, Spirit of the Harp, Giant Soldier of Stone, and Harpie's Brother.)

Ryan: Same here (Komuri dragon, Harpie's Brother, Gemini elf, and Aqua Madoor.)

Kaiba: But since I haven't summoned. I will now. I sacrafice three of my monsters for this. Obelisk the Tormentor!!!!

[i]The mighty blue god rose above the other monsters and practically scared the opponents.[/i]

Kaiba: Now for this. Obelisk take one of my monsters and one of Ryan's for your power.

[i]Obelisk took up Ryan's Komuri Dragon and Kaiba's Harpie's Brother.[/i]

Kaiba: Now! Obliterate them!!!

[i]The massive god brought its giant blue fist down upon the oppnents and obliterated their monsters and their life points.[/i]

Ryan: Man, so that's Obelisk's power.... It's amazing. I still can't believe how powerful it is.

Kaiba: Yes, Obelisk is powerful, but Ra and Slifer can come up to par with it. Anyways, we should wait for Yugi and Ryo to finish their duel.[/COLOR]

Ryo: I'll lay this monster face down and send ym Demon Soldier to attack your face down monster. (??A)

??A: Hmpf. So you destroyed my defense monster. I'll just play Dark Hole to wipe out everyone's monsters. HA!

Ryo: Well that'll activate the effect of my face-down Mystic Tomato! It'll allow me to take one dark monster with less than 1500 ATK/DEF and summon it. I'll choose my own Kuriboh, but I chosoe to place on under Yugi's field.

Yami: What? You'd do that? Thank you Ryo. Now I can finally pull together some good strategy. First, I'll play the magic card Foolish Burial, allowing me to put one monste rin my hand into the graveyard. But since this is a tag team duel, I choose to put it in Ryo's graveyard.

Ryo: Heh that's qutie nic- What!?!?!
[i] Ryo was in a disbelief as he gazed at the Duel monsters card in his graveyard. It was none other than the god, Slifer the Sky Dragon![i]

Yugi: Next I'll activate the card multiply, turning this Kuriboh into many. Then, I'll sacrifice these Kuriboh to play the [i]second[/i] God Card that I control. Winged Dragon of Ra, take flight!
[i]The imperial golden dragon flew up into the sky letting out an ancient screech.[/i]
(ATK: 7500)

??B: WHAT!?! oh crap. I've got one turn to destroy it. But that shouldn't be too hard. I'll play Gemini Elf. Go twins, destroy Ra!

Ryo: Activate Mirror Force! This I'll buy you some time, Yugi.

??B: Well, I'm screwed. It's been nice knowing all of you. But hey - maybe Ashok will go easy on us this time.

Ryo: Now for my turn, I play Monster reborn on Slifer the Sky Dragon! With 5 cards in my hand, his total attack and defense strengths are at 5000!

Yugi: And using Ra's special ability, I sacrifice Slifer to add his attack to Ra's. Get ready for some trouble.

??A: Oh damn it. Nothing in my had can do anything. Just these crappy defense monsters. I'll forfeit my turn.

Yugi: So that means its time for the final blow. Ra, use your phoenix attack! (12000 ATK)

[i]The sheerly overwhelming force destroyed both of the opponents in a single demolition. Everyone was shocked. Yugi picked up the locator cards, and handed them to Ryo, keeping some for himself. Ryo took the three rasing his total to 28.[/i]

Ryo: So that's what God Card can do...

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan's jaw had gone slack when he saw Ra appear, at first he thought Yugi was bluffing but he wasn't.

"Such sheer power...Its...amazing.." [/i]

Yugi: Now, Kaiba. I do belive we were heading towards the main dueling arena.

Kabia: Huh? Oh. Yeah. Actually, we should wait until tomorrow. Ryo and Ryan. Go on and go to where you were going to. Yugi and I need to discauss about this.

Ryan: Psh, whatever. You make us sound like little kids. Oh well. I need to go off to get more cards. See ya later.

Ryo: Same here. I gotta go also.

[i]Ryan turned and headed to the main deck. After arriving there he began walking around aimlessly until this young blue haired kid rammed into Ryan.[/i]

Ryan: Hey.

Kid: Sorry. I wasn't watching where i was going. I apologize. Say. You wanna duel?

Ryan: Sure.

Kid: Name's Ric.

Ryan: Mine's Ryan.

[i]The two flicked on their systems. Ryan looked at his opening hand. Komuri Dragon, Penguin Soldier, Gemini Elf, United We Stand, and Raigeki.[/i]

Ryan: I'll go first. First I'll draw (Harpie's Brother) and summon my Komuri Dragon in attack mode and end my turn.

Ric: I'll summon my LaJinn in attack mode. I also end my turn.

[i]"What's he up to?" Ryan thought as he drew his next card. Which was Ward of Absolute Magic Prohibition.[/i]


Ryan: I'arpie'sll now summon my Harpie's Brother in attack mode. I end my turn.

Ric: Heh. I'll sacrafice my LaJinn for this. Summoned Skull!! Go. Summon Skull, attack his dragon!

Ryan: 3000
Ric: 4000

Ryan: Urgh. My dragon. Allright. I'll draw (Axe of Despair.) I now summon Gemini Elf in attack mode.

Ric: Heh. My Summoned Skull is still more powerful.

Ryan: Not for long. I now equip my elves with Axe of despair. Taking their attack up to 2900. Now! Attack the summoned skull!! And then. Harpie's Brother! Attack directly.

Ryan: 3000
Ric: 2100

Ryan: Looks like this is getting interesting more and more.[/COLOR]

Hermes walked out of his cabin to watch the magnificent sunrise. Not too long, for he needed his eyes in order to duel. He strode to the restaurant and ate without real appetite. His most recent duels had been disappointing and he felt he needed a real challenge before the finals. A kid with black hair walked up to him. He held a small notepad with names on it.

"Hermes Kadukeus?" he asked.

"Right." Hermes looked up from his eggs.

"I am Mokuba Kaiba, the last opponent you will be facing before the finals... or the elimination." The boy said proudly.

"Mokuba Kaiba? As in 'brother of Seto Kaiba'? My my, I am honored. But why are you saying 'the last opponent'?" Hermes asked curiously.

"Because I am the one peoples who haven't reached 30 locator cards duel. If they beat me, I give them the cards they need. If they don't..." He showed a box full of locator cards. "Those are from the two duelists who lost to me this morning."

"I see... So I guess I'm the next scheduled once I am finished with my breakfeast?" Hermes proposed.

"You're right on that one."

++Later++

"Great, I can lose it all for 2 little cards?" Hermes groaned to himself. A bit too loud, maybe.

"Exactly, that's what happen when you aren't getting it fast enough!" Mokuba grinned.

"Great, now let's duel!" Hermes retorted.

"I start with the Oppressed Citizens, in defense mode!" A small huddled group of peasants and a steadfast gard with a whip appeared on the field. (400/2000) "And i play a card face-down."

"Very well, I summon the Little Chimera, in attack mode!" A grey cat with eagle's wing appeared. "And I use the Heaven's Fury to transform it into Chimera the Fearless!" The cat morphed into a large monster with three heads: eagle, goat and lion. (2400/2200) "Attack the citizens!"

"Activate trap!" Mokuba retorted. A hole opened under Chimera, who fought valiantly, but only managed to stay half out of it. (1200/1100) "Sticky Trap Hole halves the attack of your monster permanently."

"Now I summon United Resistance, in attack mode, I also lay two cards face-down!" United resistance showed several armed people hiding in an alley. (1000/400)

"I..." Hermes started.

"First, I uses your standby phase to activate Gathering of Heroes!" Mokuba Interruupted. Several knight appeared in the center of the field. "You can't have a Battle Phase on this turn!"

Hermes had evidently underestimated his opponent. Indering his play, he was preparing one heck of a big move.

"I sacrifice my Chimera to summon Hades, the King of the Underworld!" Hermes announced the summon of his favorite monster. (2450/1600)

"And now, I summon the Fleeing Citizens!" A third group of people appeared, chased by what appeared to be royal gards. (600/600) "And I activate the Strong Revolution trap card!" one of the peasant, a resistant and a citizen joined together, irradiating with blue light. Hades exploded in bits of data.

"What is this thing?" Hermes asked.

"Strong Revolution forces you to discard all the cards in your hand and destroy all your monster on the field." Mokuba quickly explained. "Now, I can attack you directly with all my monsters!"

The United Resistance went first, but they were suddenly stopped by a wall of flames and burnt to a crisp. (4000->2600) Mokuba looked over in surprise as Chimera the Fearless appeared in the middle of the smoke. Hermes smirked.

"You are not the only one with little tricks, Mokuba! When Hades goes to the Graveyard, I am allowed to bring back a monster from there." Hermes looked at his angered challenger. This was going to be good.

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan looked at the monsters currently on the field, which just consisted of his Harpie's Brother and Gemini Elf. Now things were starting to get fun.[/i]

Ryan: I'll end my turn.

Ric: I'll summon Vorse Raider in attack mode. End turn, oh also i set one m/t down too.

Ryan: Peh, I'll play this, Mystical space Typhoon and destroy your card. I now attack your Vorse raider with Gemini elf. Taking you down to 1100, and then end game with Harpie's Brother.

Ric: Awww!!! Darn.

Ryan: One Locator Card please.

[i]Ryan now had 30 Locator Cards, he took his deck out of his disk and put it back into his case container and headed for the cafe to get a drink..

While on his way to the cafe Ryan saw Mokuba Kaiba and Hermes dueling. Ryan pulled up a seat and watched the duel start.[/i][/COLOR]

[Circ]

"Now for my turn, I will simply attack your Oppressed Citizens and end my turn." Hermes announced as the people were destroyed.

"You know, in a game such as duel monster, you should never let too much time to your opponent..." Mokuba noticed. "I place a card face-down and I summon Roulette Bomber in attack mode!"

A monster looking like a mortar with a roulette disc divided in 6 was summoned to the field. (1000/2000) Two arrows where placed on the disc.

"Roulette Bomber has a very nifty effect: I can spin both arrows, and destroy a monster of yours with the same level! Roulette Bomber, Spin it!" The two arrows started to spin, but only managed to produce a 3 and a 1. Mokuba punched the platform.

"Then I will lay my last two two cards face-down." he indicated.

Hermes looked at the card he just drew and smirked.

"I play Coins From Heaven, this will fill both our hands up to 5." he announced.

"Then, this is the perfect time for..." he flipped his face-down card, "Quick Shotgun! A trap card that deals you 200 dammage per cards you have in hand or on the field." A multicolored shotgun shot a ball at each of his card and monsters. Hermes growled as the dent appeared in his life points.(4000->2800) He'd need to end this a quickly as possible.

"I will then summon my Two-Headed Cerberus. And I will equip him with Hermes' Boots. This equipment card allows my monster to attack twice during the battle phase." The two-headed snarling dog appeared on Hermes' field. "To begin with, destroy the oppressed Citizens!"

The small caracters where no problem for the monster.

"And now, attack Roulette Bomber!"

"Activate trap! Thunder Break!" Mokuba discarded a card from his hand, and the winged boots at the cerberus' feet disappeared, disallowing a second attack.

"Humpf, your turn." The miffed Hermes said.

"Thank you." (2600->2800)

Hermes looked in disbelief has his opponent's life points actually raised.

"Don't look at me like that. The card I discarded was Marie the Fallen One, a monster that gives me 200 life points each turn when it is in my graveyard. And I will sacrifice both my monsters to summon the Jackal Paladin!" The monster showed as a representation of the God Anubis. (2700/1200) "I set two cards and I attack your Fearless Chimera!" With his two blades, the Paladin sliced the chimera. (2800->2500)

"Now for my turn, I set these two card face-down, and I sacrifice my Two-Headed Cerberus for my Headless Knight."

"As my turn begun, I activate Invasion of Territory! by discarding another card, I keeps you from summoning a monster during your next turn. Now, my Jackal, attack!" Unlike what Mokuba expected, the paladin was actually destroyed by his opponent (3000->2800)

"That was the doing of my trap: Grasp from Beyong (2500-1900). And my Death Calculator deals a player 500 points of dammage each time a monster goes to the graveyard." Added Hermes. (2800->2300)

"And since you have no cards on the field, I can attack you directly!" (2300->0)

"You are good, ust a bit too flashy. Flashy players always carry they doom with them. Remember that."

"You can be sure I will!"

A man sitting on a chair next to the Arena walked up to him clapping with his hands.

"Great duel." Hermes turned toward him.

Only two more locator cards left for Ryo to get, in order to bypass the eliminations. and he had to find a duel quick, otherwise he might just run out of time.

He looked around and went to the mian deck. There was always someone there. Hopefully, that reputation would stick. And sure enough, a small group of duelists were trading cards.

Ryo: Hey you! Up for a duel?
???: Sure. Who are you?
Ryo: I'm Ryo. And you?
Kinet: Kinet Roba. The brother of the great Espa Roba!
Ryo: Time to duel!

Ryo: I'll start off with this little monster in defense mode. And I'll lay 1 M/T card face down.
Kinet: I'll play my Guardian of the Throne Room in attack mode! (1650/1600) Now I send it to destroy your puny monster!
Ryo: You ever heard of Needle Worm? I think you'll enjoy it.
Kinet: Awwwwww darn it!
Ryo: now for my turn, I'll play Whiptail Crow in attack mode, and equip it with the Sword of dark Destruction. I'll make it attack your guardian.

Kinet: Humph. I'll play this defense monster, along with Swords of Revealing Light! One of my rarest cards.
Ryo: Humph. I'll lay one more card face down. Go and make your move.
Kinet: I'll sacrifice my monster to play Machine King. He'll wait one turn to attack. Not to mention this M/T card I set.
Ryo: Your mistake. I'll activate Dust Tornado, destroying your swords. And to make matters worse, I'll sacrifice Whiptail Crow to play my Cybertech Wyvern, at 2500 ATK. Attack Machine King!
Kinet: This'll activate my trap. Magic Reflex Armor, boosting it up to 2550. Sorry.
Ryo: Darn. You're on tricky duelist.

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan was impressed with the duel between Hermes and Mokuba. It was amazing to see Hermes make a comeback so brilliantly.

Ryan decided to wander off to the main dueling arena and just hang around and watch some duels, although some of the duelists hadn't even gotten 25 locator cards. Some of them needed to get their acts in gear and duel like crazy to get the cards they needed to stay in the eliminations.

While sitting in one of the seats Ryan saw Yugi walking around. Just then a guy jumped him and challenged him to a duel. Ryan kicked back and started to watch this duel go.

While Ryan and Yugi were preoccupied, Ashok stood in a dark corner watching the duel start, he held up a card and as the light hits it and a light blue dragon is seen, its level is 12 golden stars. The man smirks with malice and his eyes widen with crazed delight. "Soon, the end of Yugi and the others will be at hand!!!"[/i][/COLOR]

[Hyper]

Kinet: So now my machine king will dominate! Attack his life points directly.
Ryo: Oooooohh crap.

KI: 3600

Ryo had to do something quick. He had one turn to pull off a combo that would allow him to survive. And he was almsot out of options, until he drew a card. He just smiled.

Ryo: I'll play Monster Reborn on my Needle Worm in defense mode. Then I'll equip him with the Ring of Magnetism, reducing his stats. To finish my combo, I'll play Multiply on my Needle Worm, since its stats are below 500. But since he had the Ring of Magnetism attatched, all of his clones will have it too. So now you're forced to destroy yourself.

Kinet: Noooooooo! I can't do anything to dispel the magic card. I'm screwed once again.
Kinet's Machine King fired hundreds of missles at the Needle Worm swarm. He was forced to discard 5 cards off the top of his deck everytime he destroyed one. Soon, he had decked out completley.

Ryo: I'll take the two locator cards we wagered then. that brings me up to 30 locator cards.^^

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan sat kicked back in his seat watching Yugi cream the person. It was rather entertaining. The guy didn't even have a chance. It was just pitiful watching him. Oh well.

While this was happening, Ashok had left the arena and was now standing in a room looking at his members. They had dropped in number because those people continually failed, so they had to be punished. Ashok would not tolerate failure so any who failed him paid dearly. He looked at his card. He then set it down and took a glass of wine and raised it.[/i]

Ashok: A toast! To the end of Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba, and all those brats that follow them!

[i]He threw his head back chuckling and then he took a huge swig of the drink. Things would definetly get interesting soon.

Ryan stood up from his seat and stretched and headed down the steps to talk to Yugi who had just congratulated the kid on a great duel.[/i]

Ryan: So. Kaiba find anything out yet?

Yugi: He said he'd come down here and tell me when he.. Well speak of the devil.

[i]Just then Kaiba came walking into the arena, his face was that of a person who was mad at themself for not thinking of something so obvious.[/i]

Kaiba: Follow me.

[i]The two followed him to his office. As soon as Ryan entered the room Kaiba shut the door and locked it.[/i]

Kaiba: I'll tell you what Apophis is. Apophis is an Egyptian god. But what relavence it has to Duel Monsters is beyond me. But right now this is all I know of. If either of you come up with anything else or if I do then I'll tell you two. Okay??

Ryan: Okay.

Yugi: Allright.

Ryan: Well I'm gonna go off and wander around.

[i]Ryan walked out the door and headed for the cafe to get something to eat and just to go over his deck, because soon the eliminations would be at hand, as would the finals.[/i][/COLOR]

[Solo Tremaine]

Kyriss shuffled his deck and shoved it into the Duel Disk system. He was going to construct two decks now- an Earth one and a Dark one. But for the moment, he was happy with what he had.

20 cards. As he opened the door to his room, he heard two people talking as they went past.

"...and I'm, like, 30 locator cards? No way, man!"

"Heh, these guys are serious duellists..."

Kyriss almost collapsed. He needed 10 more. And the final was almost here. Slamming the door behind him, he ran up to the top deck to find a challenger.

As he frantically looked around, it looked as if he was the only one duelling. Suddenly, someone caught his eye. He was leaning against the wall, calmly having a drink.

Kyriss sidled up to him and coughed.

"You wanna duel?" the guy croaked. He looked fairly old, maybe in his mid to late-twenties.

Kyriss nodded.

"Okay, squirt. We'll wager 10 locator cards. You ready fer my deck? It's gonna hit you hard."

Kyriss grinned. "I doubt that."

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan had just finished eating and taking out some cards. They were three little 1700 attack hitters that he never used. Just then his attention was drawn to a stand that Yugi's grandfather was running. It was a card stand. Ryan stood up casually and walked over and Solomon looked up and grinned, his face crinkling as he did so.[/i]

Solomon: Hi there again. How's that dragon treating you?

Ryan: Haven't used it yet. Say, I was wondering if you had any 1900 ATK cards?

Solomon: Actually yes I do. I have three of these. They're called the Sapphire dragon. Pretty nice little things I must add at that too.

Ryan: How much?

Solomon: I just want those three cards. A fair trade at that too.

Ryan: Ok.

[i]Ryan forked over his three Girochin Kuwagatas in exchange got three Sapphire dragons.

Ryan shuffled the three into his deck and walked off to his quarters to change.[/i]

Kyriss drew his five cards from the Duel Disk system and looked to the man standing opposite him. In his hand were Monster Reborn, Man-Eater Bug, Nimble Momonga, Shield and Sword and Buster Blader. A good start. If he played Nimble Momonga he'd be able to summon the others from his deck when it was destroyed, and then he could summon Buster Blader! Perfect. But it wasn't his turn yet. The man was going first.

He drew a card unceremoniously and placed it on the field. "I play Card Destruction, to destroy our hands and allow us to draw five more cards from our hands each.

Kyriss almost swore. He had some good cards in there. Not that it mattered particularly. It was only the first move, after all.

He looked at his hand. Enchanted Javelin, Whiptail Crow, Magical Labyrinth, Princess of Tsurugi and Neo the Magic Swordsman. Nothing too great there.

Strangely, the man ended his turn there. Shrugging, Kyriss drew another card. It was another Nimble Momonga.

"I play Neo the Magic Swordsman in attack mode and..." he paused for a moment. His opponent had nothing on the field. Nothing at all. What was he playing at?

"...I attack your Life Points directly," he said cautiously. Neo shot forwards and attacked the man, ridding him of 1700 LP. He was at 2300 now.

"Is that it?" the man asked. He had a strange voice, which had a vaguely sinister quality to it.

Kyriss shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Yeah, yeah. That's it."

Calmly, the man drew another card from his deck and looked at it sternly. His eyes were a steely grey, and his face gaunt. His clothes were strange. He wore a black cloak which swayed behind him eerily.

"I set one card face down and then play Ookazi to rid you of 800 insignificatn Life Points." His tone had changed now. His voice once calm, it was now a sharp, vicious snap.

Kyriss watched his LP dip down to 3200. Not much of a loss. Still, he had to keep going. He placed one monster card (his Whiptail Crow) on the field face-down and looked at neo.

"Attack his face down monster." he ordered, now a little unnerved.

The Magician of Faith appeared and the man casually pulled a card from his Graveyard and placed it in his hand.

Kyriss was more than a little worried, now. A sly grin spread across his opponent's face as he prepared his next move.

[Domon]

[COLOR=darkblue][i]Ryan was totally bored, he needed something to do, maybe challenge someone to a duel. He thought about dueling Kaiba but he was for last. Maybe he could duel Yugi just for kicks.

After finishing his drink Ryan stepped out of the cafe and headed to the main deck. And lo and behold there was Yami.[/i]

Ryan: Yugi. I challenge you to a duel!

Yami: You sure?

Ryan: Yeah, I'd like this to be off the record. I want to see how your god cards work.

Yami: Fine with me. This is off the record so lets go!

[i]The two drew their cards and got ready.[/i][/COLOR]

[Solo Tremaine]

OOC: I'm not sure whether the Tyrant Dragon can only be Special Summoned by a special effect (like removing one Dragon form your Graveyard or whatever), but I'm going to ignore that for this post, if that's okay. It's not like this guy plays fair anyway.

The man's eyes widened in glee as he began to make his move. He threw a card onto the field.

"I play Monster Reborn to summon the Tryant Dragon from my Graveyard!" he yelled. Kyriss shuddered as the huge red dragon growled at him threateningly. "It has 2900 Attack points, mre than enough to vanguish your puny Swordsman!" he yelled again, ordering his dragon to attack.

Kyriss gasped as the Dragon fired a torrent of flame at Neo and his monster was vaporised. His LP meter bleeped down to 2000.

Just as Kyriss was about to draw his card, the man stopped him.

"Not so fast, boy! This monster can attack twice if there are monsters on your side of the field!" The man sneered. Kyriss prepared himself for another attack.

"But first..." the man said slyly. "I Equip my Tyrant Dragon with Fairy Meteor Crush, which allows me to decimate your Life Points even when your monster is in Defence Mode!"

Kyriss almost collapsed when his Whiptail Crow was destroyed. He only had 700 LP left, and no monsters to play that could save him now.

He looked at his hand. Enchanted Javelin would only protect him for a turn or so... but he couldn't give up now. He drew a card from his Deck. De-Spell.

He looked over to the man shakily, but giving him the most determined look he could give. He wasn't about to lose now.

"I set one Monster in Defence Mode and set another card face-down. I also play De-Spell to destroy your Fairy Metero Crush, enabling me to save my Life Points from your Tyrant Dragon."

"Only for this turn, boy!" the man yelled. He drew another card.

"First, I equip my Tyrant Dragon with Sword of Deep-Seated, Horn of the Unicorn and Axe of Despair, raising its attack power to 5100! be glad my Fairy Meteor Crush card is gone, boy. I also play two 'Sparks' card, which inflict 200 points of Direct Damage each to your Life Points, bringing you down to a measly 300 Life Points. Now, I attack your face-down monster!"

Kyriss couldn't believe it. Five Magic cards, all on the opponent's field. Almost in a daze, he flipped up Princess of Tsurugi.

Princess of Tsurugi deals 500 points of Direct Damage to you for each Magic or Trap card that you have on the field, losing you every single one of your Life Points." He was close to laughing with triumph and relief.

The man stood dumbstruck as his Life Point meter plunged to 0. His fists shaking in rage, he hurled the Locator Cards at Kyriss, who caught them deftly in his non duel-disk hand.

"You coward! That was a child's duel. Not that it matters. Soon you'l all be destroyed!" he screamed, before sprinting off the boat.

Across from him, Kyriss could see an old man at a card shack. He smiled kindly at him.

"You did well." he said. His voice was warm and friendly.

Kyriss blushed and grinned. "Yeah. I thought he had me for a second."

"He almost did." The old man said with another smile. "I'm Solomon Moto, by the way. Would you like to buy some Duel Monsters cards?"

Kyriss smiled, but shook his head. "Not right now, thanks. I really need a drink and a sit down. Now I have 30 Locator Cards I think I can relax until the finals. but I may come and see you soon, if it's no trouble."

"It's no trouble at all, young man."

Kyriss couldn't help but smile at Solomon again. "My name's Kyriss." he said, grinning from ear to ear. He couldn't wait to tell Ryan.

Ryan: I'll summon Sapphire Dragon in attack mode!! I now end my turn.

Yami: Hmm..I'll play Kuriboh in defense mode and end my turn.

Ryan: What?! That dereanged little hairball? Yugi what are you playing at? I'm amazed you didn't play something stronger.

Yami: I'll end my turn.

Ryan: Okay then, I'll draw (Swords of Revaling Light) I now summon Harpie's Brother in attack mode and I now equip my Sapphire Dragon with United we stand!!!!

[i]The male Harpie and beautiful Blue Dragon took fighting stances.[/i]

Ryan: Now! Harpie's Brother, attack that furball!!!

[i]With lightning quick speed Harpie's Brother decimated the hairball, formerly known as Kuriboh.[/i]

Ryan: And now! Sapphire Dragon! Attack!

Yami: 300
Ryan: 4000

Ryan: Gee Yugi, you're just playing with me, I know it.

Yami: I may and I may not. I'll draw, and set 3 cards face down and I also play Big Shield Gardna in defense mode! Its your turn.

Ryan: Okay, I draw (Sangan) and set this monster face down and now. Sapphire attack!

Yami: You played right into my trap. Mirror Force!

Ryan: Damn! My dragon!

[i]Ryan could only stand by as his dragon was blasted to bits by its own attack.[/i]
