[I]It was another boring day of school as Xander, Willow, and Buffy walker around campus killing time before thier next class.

[COLOR=red]Buffy: Hey guys. Do you think our relationship as friends would be different if wasn't the slayer?[/COLOR]

[COLOR=blue]Willow: Probably not but you never know.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=teal]Xander: Yeah because i never would have saved your life, get my but kicked every time we go fighting, :blackeye: , you know Xander stuff.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=red]Buffy: yeah your right.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=teal]Xander: Well that's the bell onto aother ravishing day of History![/COLOR]

[COLOR=red]Buffy: Yeah I know what you mean Biology is a real bore.[/COLOR]

[COLOR=blue]Willow: Well I have computer so I'm happy![/COLOR]

So the three friends parted with plan on meeting at the Bronze.

talia waited paciently in her appartment, shades and curtins pulled down. she heard spiked lived in this city, she couldn't wait to see him again, they could hunt together, like they did in their earlier years as vampires. she hoped he hadn't changed, too much. she smiled at her tracking skills.

Talia: oh spike, i found you, and i hope you will remeber me.

[Rei]

After the bell rung for their classes to be over Willow, Buffy,and Xander sat down at a table outside for lunch. As Xander and Buffy ate Willow practiced her craft.

Xander: Willow do ya think you should be floating pencils in public I mean there are people around.

"Don't worry nobody's looking."

As Willow began twirling the pencil faster and fast with her mind it stopped and dropped. Willow, Xander,and Buffy turned around to see Amy another witch.

Xander: See somebody saw you Will nobody every listens to the guy that's always right.

Buffy: Xander chill

Amy sat down beside Willow and they started to talk about magic.

"So did you try that spell we talked about."

Amy: Yeah but it kinda blew up in my face.

As Willow continued to talked to Amy about the spell and Xander countinued to eat off everyones' plate but his own Buffy turned around to see her sorta ex-boyfriend Scott staring at her but she avoided eye contact and turned back around.

Buffy: Uh Guys I gotta go I'm not feelin so hot.

"Are you gonna feel better in time for the Bronze tonight, Angel's gonna be there."

Buffy: Then I feel better all ready.

[Shy]

[i]Buffy sat at the table, resting her head on her arm as everyone else at the table continued to talk. She was thinking about the past few months, everything was happening so fast. Angel returning from Hell, the arrival of Faith, Willow taking up witchcraft, and more importantly, graduation. This was her last year of high school, and she wanted to make it count.

Willow reached into her backpack and pulled out an ancient book, bound in leather.[/i]

[b]Amy:[/b] Is that what I think it is?

[b]Xander:[/b] Old, leathery, and creepy. Either it's one of Cordelia's friends from the tanning salon, or there's magicks afoot.

[b]Willow:[/b] Oh, don't worry guys. This isn't anything big. I found it in the cave after we defeated the Kungai demon.

[b]Buffy:[/b] How could I forget... [i]Buffy took a drink of her soda[/i] ...which one was that, exactly?

[b]Willow:[/b] Oh, you know. The one with the big horn on his head. Drains the life of whoever it touches, not big on the hygiene..

[b]Amy:[/b] I have read about those in my summoning texts.

[i]Willow and Buffy shared a glance. Xander continued eating, stealing Buffy's muffin.[/i]

[b]Amy:[/b] ...not that I would ever summon anything like that, but it helps to know what my options are.

[b]Xander:[/b] We don't have to worry about you getting all dark-eyed and veiny like your mother, do we Amy?

[b]Amy:[/b] No, of course not. It is entirely possible to delve into the dark arts without ending up so dark. Besides, witchcraft is part of my heritage.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Like hexing cheerleaders?

[i]With a hurt look in her eye Amy took a few steps back, and walked away. Willow turned to Buffy.[/i]

[b]Willow:[/b] Buffy! How could you be like that to Amy? You know she is still sensitive about what her mother did.

[b]Xander:[/b] Yeah, we don't bring up all of the wild things [i]your[/i] mother did.

[i]Buffy hid her face in embarassment.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Er, what are you talking about?

[b]Xander:[/b] Like that time her wall decoration started to raise the dead. Geesh, you people don't remember anything around here.

[i]Buffy stood up and put her backpack over her shoulder.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Oh, heh.. umm...

[i]She quickly darted out of the room, leaving Xander and Willow behind.[/i]

[b]Xander:[/b] Hm. It seems like I struck a nerve. You don't think something happened with Joyce that she isn't telling us about?

[b]Willow:[/b] What? You think Buffy would hide something from us? She.. she.. would never even dream of --

[b]Xander:[/b] Telling us what really happened?

[b]Willow:[/b] Yes.

[b]Xander:[/b] Well, I dount it is anything big. The last time Ms. Summers went wild was when she was OD-ing on the band candy. And she wasn't very wild then, all she did was follow Giles around like she was his groupie?

[b]Willow:[/b] You don't think that Joyce and Giles actually..?

[b]Xander:[/b] No, and let us never speak of this again.

[i]There was an awkward pause.[/i]

[b]Xander:[/b] Why can't everyone just have normal alcoholic parents like me? This is just disgusting.

[Rei]

As Xander countinued to stuff his face he started to talk.

Xander: So Will were is Oz, I haven't seen him around all day.

"Oh he and his band have some kind of minor tour thing apperently emportant enough to ditch school for but he'll be back in a couple of months or so."

Xander: Oh Well I see Cordy over there with her freinds so I think I'll go bug her.

Willow was left alone and soon left the table herself. The day went by and it was 7:30 and Willow and Xander were at Buffy's house ringing the doorbell until the door opened.

[Shy]

OOC: Since this is being written in a past-tense, I consider this to be a very long flashback. Thus, Dawn would be there.

[i]Joyce, wearing a robe and slippers, opened the door.[/i]

[b]Xander:[/b] Oh god, she's doing him again.

[b]Joyce:[/b] What?

[b]Xander:[/b] Er. I mean [i]it[/i]. Oh god she is doing [i]it[/i] again. It being the wearing of the slippers, and not an English...

[b]Willow:[/b] Xander has something against slippers! He's weird like that. Just the other day I said to him "Alexander Harris, I like wearing slippers. You need to get over whatever issues you have against them because slippers are a very important part of--"

[b]Joyce:[/b] Did you two want to speak with Buffy?

[b]Xander:[/b] Yes, please.

[i]Buffy walked downstairs, also wearing a robe and slippers. The expression on Willow's and Xander's faces said everything.[/i]

[b]Willow:[/b] It's Buffy, who is also wearing a robe.

[b]Xander:[/b] I thought we were going to Bronze Buffy.

[b]Joyce:[/b] The Bronze? Buffy, you said that you were going to stay here tonight and watch videos with us tonight.

[b]Willow:[/b] "Us?!" So it's true, I had no idea that the three of you were into that sort of thing.

[b]Xander:[/b] Disgusting.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Um, did I miss something?

[b]Joyce:[/b] Buffy promised to stay home and watch videos with me and her sister.. Dawn.

[b]Xander:[/b] Oh, [i]Dawn.[/i] How could we forget about Dawn?

[b]Willow:[/b] Yeah, sometimes it's like she isn't even there.

[b]Xander:[/b] We thought that you were talking about someone else... with glasses and a fondness for books.

[b]Joyce:[/b] You mean Mr. Giles?

[b]Buffy:[/b] Why would he be here?

[b]Willow:[/b] Well... you see... umm..

[b]Buffy:[/b] Forget it. I'm sorry, this family thing came up at the last minute Will. Maybe we could reschedule it for a later date?

[b]Willow:[/b] But what about Angel?

[b]Buffy:[/b] Oh, hm. Tell him I'm busy.

[b]Xander:[/b] Yes ma'am.

[b]Buffy:[/b] I'll just see you guys at school tomorrow then.

[b]Willow:[/b] Ok, bye.

[i]Willow and Xander walked away and Joyce closed the door.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] What was with those two?

[b]Joyce:[/b] I have no idea. But I think it had something to do with our robes.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Well, it doesn't matter. This is our night together. Come hellmouth or high water, I'm going to spend the night here and watch movies with my Mom and my slightly forgettable sister.

[i]Suddenly a loud scream is heard coming form upstairs.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Or maybe it's everyone just trying to forget her.

[i]Buffy walked upstairs, hurrying to see what was going on.[/i]

it was night and talia smiled.

talia: time to go roaming.

she walked down the street and hummed a song, smiling. she walked right into the cemetary and looked at all the old tomb stones. then came across a mosalium/catacomb thing. she walked in.

Talia: anyone home?

she walked further until shefelt something behind her. she turned quickly and grabed the person by the arm and flung to the ground.

???: bloody hell, what was that for, your the one who came in my home.

Talia: spike?

spike: duh.

talia was sitting on a tombstone looking up at the moon.

Talia: so, this is where you've been all this time.

spike: yeah

talia: quaint isn't it, it dosen't suit your personality.

spike: well doll, i've changed alot over the years.

talia: i could tell by the way you didn't strikee back at me when in your house.

spike: oh really?

talia: your getting rusty spike, i should show you some new things i've learned sometime.

spike: whatever.

talia hops down from the tombstone and looks at spikes eyes.

spike: what?

talia: your in love, aren't ya.

spike: i don't know what your talking about.

talia: yup yup, i can see it.....i think i'm going to go check out the town some more. wanna show me around?

spike: i don't know doll....

talia: please?

[Shy]

[i]Buffy rushed into Dawn's room.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Dawn? Where are you?

[i]The screaming continued, and buffy realized that Dawn was in the bathroom. Buffy burst into the bathroom to find Dawn looking into a mirror and holding a curling iron.[/i]

[b]Dawn:[/b] I burnt myself again, ouch.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Dawn. Mom told you not to use the curling iron by yourself.

[b]Dawn:[/b] It's a girls night. I'm a girl, this is the sort of thing I am supposed to do.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Not by yourself.

[b]Dawn;[/b] Well, you and Mom were talking to your friends. You are always talking to your friends; like when you sneak out late at night to hang out with them.

[b]Joyce:[/b] She does?

[i]Buffy turned around to find her mother standing in the doorway with her arms folded.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] It isn't like that. Yes, I go out late at night.. but I do it to...

[i]Dawn looked at buffy eagerly. Buffy confessed her secret life as a Slayer to her Mom last year, but Dawn was still clueless.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] ...to go to the local ice cream parlor and give into my temptation to Rocky Road.

[b]Joyce:[/b] You mean the S-L-A-Y-I-N-G?

[b]Buffy:[/b] Mom, she's--!

[b]Dawn:[/b] I'm 11 years old. I know how to spell.

[b]Joyce:[/b] Hm, oops.

[b]Dawn:[/b] And you spelled it wrong. The correst spelling is S-L-E-I-G-H-I-N-G, not S-L-A-Y-I-N-G. Where did you get a sleigh?

[b]Buffy:[/b] Eh, it's umm.. magic.

[b]Joyce:[/b] From Santa Claus.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Yeah, me and Willow love to go dashing through the snow late at night. It gives us a rush. The hardest part is trying to find the now.

[b]Dawn:[/b] Are you serious? Or this some sort of joke?

As Willow and Xander continued to walk to the Bronze began to talk about magic.

"Xander I've been thinking remember when Buffy and Faith faught that demon it put Faith in a coma and nearly killed them both. I've been working on this spell which contains three magical herbs for strength Barberry Root, Bay Laurel,and Buckthorn Bark. The problem is I can't seem to proportion them right but I think I'm getting close to it meaning easier slaying for them both."

Xander: Will do you really think you should be messing with all this magic, I mean what if it goes wrong.

"Xander relax what could go wrong? You know how careful I am with magic nothing could possibly go wrong."

[Zerosaber]

Angel stood inside the Bronze waiting for the crew

Angel: (thinking) Buffy usually isn't this late.

In the crowd people were dancing talking and acting the way normal teenagers acted.

Angel: ( thinking) I remember when I was this young how I always wanted attentio.

Angel spots somebody in the crowd who doesn't look normal something is out of place in the person. He finds a girl and starts taking her outside . Angel knows something is suspicious now and follows the guy outside and punched him off the girl almost as he is about to bite her

Angel: Don't you guys ever learn

????: Angelus

As Willow and Xander got closer to the entrance they heard a gang of vampires talking.

Xander: Shhh be wery wery quiet were wunting demons.

"Xander stop it."

Xander: Wi.......

Xander had fell on a trash can and alerted all 5 vampires.

"I don't suppose you wanna go for tea and crumpets."

Xander and Willow began running the vampires not far behind them.

Xander: I guess thats a no.

Willow turned around and shouted.

"Issemus"

The vampires stood still in their tracks giving Willow and Xander a few seconds to get away.

"It worked I can't believe it. It's......"

Xander: Will more running less talking."

[tursi]

talia and spike walked down the street heading towards the area with all the bars and clubs.

Spike: this is where i come around alot.

talia: (spying a group of guys) i see why, nice pickings, music, drinks wish i found this place before you did,

spike: and whys that?

talia: don't know, just seems like fun.

spike muttered something as they walked into the club that angel had just walked out of.

[JJ]

Xander and Willow continued to run not stoping till they realized that the vamps stoped chasing them.
Xander: I hate when that hapens.
Willow: My spell worked!
Xander: Yeah I kinda noticed.
Willow: Well where do we wana go?
Xander: How about the ice cream shop?
Willow: Yeah.
Xander: My treat.
Willow: Cool yes I like that.
Xander: Good. Willow?
Willow: Yeah.
Xander: Which way is the shop?
Willow: OK Xander. What's your problem?
Xander: Who are you?
Willow: OK Xander your scaring me.
Xander: Get away! Don't make me hurt you.
Willow: Xander what's your problem.
Xander: GO AWAY!
Xander runs off leaving a partialy fighten, partialy confused Willow by the movie theater.

[Rei]

"Oh my god, what have I done? Xander!"

Willow chased after Xander as he moved rather quickly."

"Xander"

As Willow got closer Xander became a human roadrunner running so fast he blazed through the streets.

"Uh Oh"

[COLOR=deeppink]Spike and Talia walk to the alley when something rushed by them.

Talia: What was that?
Spike: Oh..Xander..
Talia: He can sure run fast..

Willow rushed up to Spike, breatheless.

Willow: I did something..
Spike:Witch..
Willow: I need your help.
Talia: I'll help

She said as she stepped out of the shadows.

Willow: Who are you?
Talia: I'll explain on the way[/COLOR]

Talia followed willow.

Talia: so what exactly did you do to this xander person?

Willow: i don't know, i did a spell to freeze some vamps and a little while after xander went crazy.

Talia ran ahead of willow then stoped

Wilow: what are you doing?

Talia: he's going to wear himself out soon, we don't want to use all our energy on trying to follow him till he calms down.

willow: makes sence. so who are you?

Talia: my names talia, i'm an old friend of spikes.

willow: that means...

Talia: i'm a vampire as well, but if your a friend of spikes then i guess i can be a good guy for tonight.

willow feeling a little uncertian waited, then talia smiled.

talia: no worries, xander must have worn himself out by now or have run into something that would stop him. lets go.

willow: right.

[JJ]

But unknow to anyone in the city something was lurking down below.
Thing: Kietema
All of a sudden a little kid was thrown into a corner.
Thing: Jishmeanu
An older man fell into the street.
This cotinued on until the thing stoped and retreated back into the dark depths of the sewer.

Note: This thing is the thing that everyone is fighting to destroy. It cannot just be destroyed obviously. No one try to take him because he will kill you.

Meanwhile: Xander was still flying around until he tripped over a break in the sidewalk. He fell forward and stopped sitting down

Xander: Where am I? Oh The School? Oh well I
Vioce: Biscottiyer
Xander: AHHHHH!
Just then Willow Talia and Spike turned around the corner. Willow seeing Xander in pain ran over but..
Xander: Get away from me! I know your the reason I AHHHH!
Willow: No Xander I...
Xander: Get away NOW! All of you esecially you WITCH!
Spike: What the bloody heck is up with him?
Talia: I dont know Willow?
But while they were talking Willow had run away. Xander had also.
Spike: Ok. This is not what i had planned to do tonight.
Talia: Oh well we still have a couple of hours to feed lets go.
Spike Ok.
The two walk off grinning.


At Willow's House
Willow lays on her bed crying.
Willow: What did I do? Was it some kind of backfire? No somethig else was going on. I need to do some reaserch.
Willow pulls out a big thick brown book and opens it.

At Xander's House
Xander also is on his bed listening to country music.
Xander: I wonder who that girl was that i called a witch i AHHHHH!!
Voice: You are under my control. Do as I say.
Xander: Yes master.

Talia had lured a nice looking teenage boy to feed on when she was finished she walked over to spike who had finished as well.

Talia: you sure do have a werid group of friends you have.

spike: thats not even the start of it.

talia: really?

spike: yeah, some of them could kill you.

talia: too late for that.

spike just smirked and they started to go their seperate ways before dawn

[i]Buffy, Dawn and Joyce had reassembled downstairs in the living room. Joyce and Dawn were lying on the couch, while Buffy was on the ground. It was an eerily calm moment, the only sound that could be heard was the serene music coming from the television screen.[/i]

[b]Dawn:[/b] Why is everyone being so quiet?

[b]Joyce:[/b] I'm just trying to enjoy the movie Dawn. Your sister and I used to watch it all of the time before she was in high school. We used to spend a lot of time watching movies before your father and I divorced.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Dad used to love this one, he would always act out some of the scenes with Mom. It was nice, I miss it. ([i]Buffy whispered[/i]) I miss a lot of things.

[i]Suddenly the room filled with darkness, nothing was visisble in the room anymore.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Huh? What was that?

[b]Joyce:[/b] It was just a power surge, I guess.

[b]Dawn:[/b] We should check the fuse box.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Do you even know what a fuse box is?

[b]Dawn:[/b] It's something I see on tv. Whenever the power goes out they check the fuse box and it starts working again.

[i]A loud scream echoed throughout the room, and a small white light suddenly appeared. A small female voice started to come out of the light.[/i]

[b]???:[/b] Slayer... Sayer...

[b]Buffy:[/b] Yes. What is it?

[b]???:[/b] The darkness has chosen you Slayer, and the ones around you. Times of great pain turmoil draw near. Only you can stop this.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Yes, but how?

[b]???:[/b] The flow of blood has returned to the Hellmouth. A former ally has returned, and he will try to kill you. Beware the vampire, slayer.

[i]As quickly as the room had turned dark it reverted back to it's normal state.[/i]

[b]Joyce:[/b] Buffy, what was that?

[b]Buffy:[/b] I don't know.

[b]Dawn:[/b] Wha... huh... huh?

[b]Joyce:[/b] A former ally, and a vampire? Do you think he was talking about...

[b]Buffy:[/b] Angel. I don't know, but I need to go and find out.

[i]Buffy stood up and walked towards the door.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Do not let anyone in this house. Stay here until the sunrise, at least. I should be back before then.

[b]Joyce:[/b] Right, ok. Be careful.

[i]Buffy walked out the door, and slammed it behind her.[/i]

[b]Dawn:[/b] Slayer!?

[Rei]

"No No No!"

Willow began to scream as she turned through the pages of the big leather book.

Voice: You amateur! You couldn't possibly understand the powers you are playing with.

"What?"

Willow became completly still as she saw her room become completly covered in shadows.

"Ahhhhhhhhh"

Willow felt her brain boil like a pot of water.

Buffy: Willow?

Buffy burst through the door and saw Willow completly covered in shadows in unbearable pain.

Buffy: Willow!

Buffy burst through the shadows as fast as she could and pulled Willow out.

Buffy: We gotta get out of here.

Buffy turned around to she the door entrance blocked. She ran through the shadows holding Willow in her arms and burst through the bedroom window landing on her feet.

"Good thing my moms never home."

With that Willow fainted.

talia was in her room watching the tv when a knocking came upon her door.

????:room service.

Talia: didn't order any.

????: its a letter mam.

Talia opened the door and grabed the letter and closed the door.

the letter read:

"talia, the time draws nearer for your return. make haste. your clan member, nat."

Talia: damn her. this letter is stupid.

talia ripped the letter and threw it in the trash.

[Shy]

[i]Buffy set Willow on the ground slowly, and turned around to see that the shadows were drawing nearer.[/i]

[b]Buffy:[/b] Willow! Willow, wake up!

[i]A mysterious voice, softer than the one Buffy had heard at her house began to speak from the shadows.[/i]

[b]???:[/b] Hecate, give me your strength. The divine power shall guide me, and destroy my enemies!

[b]Buffy:[/b] Snap out of it Will... Willow!?

[i]Buffy lifted Willow up over her shoulder and started to run out of the house. Buffy kicked open the front door and continued going down the street towards her home.[/i]

[b]Willow:[/b] Ugh.. huh...

[b]Buffy:[/b] Willow, are you okay?

[b]Willow:[/b] It.. it hurts Buffy. It is only getting stronger.

[b]Buffy:[/b] Try to stay calm, we need to take you to a doctor.

[b]Willow:[/b] Buffy, whatever is affecting me is a curse. Ahhh!

[b]Buffy:[/b] Oh Willow. If it's a curse you are under then we need to find a witch, and I know exactly who to ask for help.

[Rei]

"Buffy Stop. I think Im gonna throw up"

Buffy: God Willow know?

"Uh yeah"

Buffy sat Willow on the ground and she began to throw up.

Spike: Well look what I found.

Buffy: Spike not now ok. Willow's cursed and Evil shadows are everywhere trying to kill us so make yourself useful for once and go away.
