When I went to Disney World, I saw tons of people dressed up and I took pictures with everyone of them. There was Alice, the Army Men from Toy Story, Belle and the Beast, Popeye and Olive, and there was more, but I can't think of them all. My favorite was probably the Army Men, though. ^_^

I'm leaving tonight! ^_________^

I've been to Disneyland in California twice, and I had emmence fun, but I wish I could take friends that would just put the icing on the cake. I would go to the one in Orlando, but as my Auntie lives in California we always go to that one. My friends go Disney world and tell me how much fun it is, but ah well it can't be too much different. I'm sure some of you have heard of Disneyland Paris, which I have been to twice. It's not as good in my opinion by a long shot .. just a cheap immitation. I like other theme parks around the world even some in England that I live near, but this thread is about DisneyWorld/Land. Favourite ride *tries to remember* probably Space Mountain. I may be going again in August ^_^;;

My sister and her orchestra are in Orlando right now. ::gets jealous:: They play at Disney World for twenty minutes and they spend the next three days playing around. >.<
Well, my sister called me and said she was at the Japan country in Disney World, and she said she would get me this anime encyclopedia, so....I guess I'm happy.

I went to Disney World in Orlando, Florida about four years ago for my dad's fiftieth birthday. This trip also included Universal Studios, and it was very fun. I stayed for a week; an entire week out of school having the time of my life, heh. I saw a lot of stuff, most of which I don't remember now, but I know that I had lots of fun and would like to go again. I think I did get more out of Universal, though, since there were so many more rides and stuff to do. I even saw this raft thing, and it had my first name, middle initial, and last name, I believe. It may have even had my whole middle name on it. I was speechless.

So, yeah, I'd really like to go back to Disney World. Maybe hook up with a few OB members while I'm at it.

Funny thing, I'll be in Cali early July, and maybe go to Disney land for a few days. :) But if it's anywhere near San Fransisco...it may be a bit far north for me to go, since I'll be staying in San Diego and Los Angelous.

Kewl!! I'm going to LA too! ^^
Will you be going to the Anime Expo? My dad says I can go if I get a 3.83 or higher on my final.

Since we're both going to be in LA, we just need Raiha, Rico, and Endymon to come down to LA. Then, I think everyone in Cali will be together, at least. ^_^;

Though, I think it'll be pretty hard finding each other in Disney Land or Disney World. They're both really big, so we'd all have to come pretty much at the same time, and select a meeting spot...

It would be soo kewl, though. ^^;

I'm so mad at my parents...we'll be arriving late on the LAST DAY of Anime Expo. We were going to be right near there, too! *cries*

Anyway, if you can get down there, then we can probably just say that we will meet at a certain place. Boy, that would be so cool! ^_^;;

Are Shy and I so quickly forgotten? ::tear::

Just kidding :D

However, I DO live only an hour and half from Disneyland, and Shy probably lives about that far away as well. Anaheim is a merely a hop onto the 101 and a skip onto the 5. Of course, it all depends on traffic, which can be a serious headache. Driving around down there makes me consider ending my life while behind the wheel...:shifty:

By the way, when and what time is the anime expo thing? Erik and I thought that it would be a great photo oppurtunity, because I really have no desire to be a part of the expo. But, boy, I bet we could get some great pictures of people all done up like their favorite anime characters :excited: Anyone have good info on it that they'd like to share?

:) Like I didn't know this info: here it is

The SPJA is proud to announce that the 12th annual Anime Expo will be hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California on July 3rd-6th, 2003.

Umm Jenna...? Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but you have to pay to get into this. I'm not sure if you were aware of that, if so it's $25 a person last I heard. Unless you have connections and such...

As for the time pretty much 8am till closing which is around 12 or 2am.

Depending what day you go would depend on getting good shots of people dress up as anime chars. If your really interested go to the cosplay costume contest thing. Ok I'm shutting up now..pointless info I'm giving...

Heh. You silly wannabes can't handle the traffic. ;)

This is getting off-topic, but you can still take a lot of great pictures of the anime fans without actually entering the convention. During the lunch hours everyone leaves and scours the local resteraunts, so Downtown Disney would be a great place to find some hardcore otakus. I really like Downtown Disney, it is a great place to hang out with friends, even though parking costs a lot.

But we will have to bring up the topic of Anime Expo once the date draws nearer, since it would be cool to meet some fellow OB-ers.

PS: The new Winnie-The-Pooh ride opens at Disneyland on Friday, yay!

Yeah, I think they placed a version of the ride at Disney World as well.

I can handle the traffic, the Californians just can't handle the Michiganders' way of driving really, really fast ;) Plus, people over here have NOOOO concept of what the fast lane is; if someone behind you is going faster than you, then for heaven's sake, GET OVER! I could rant forever...:D

About the new Pooh ride, I remember now that when I was buying a picture frame the clerk told me about that opening soon. I really need to get back and experience it! The next time I have a free weekend, I think I'll tell Erik we're going to Disneyland again :)

Alright peoples! I just got back from Disney World last night and I'd like to recap each day of my trip. Yay!

Saturday: We arrived at Animal Kingdom...and got straight on the shuttle to Epcot. Me and Anna hated Animal Kingdom last year so we totally skipped out on it on purpose. We spent all day at Epcot going around the countries. (We boycotted Germany and France for various reasons.) Our favorite country this year was China because Japan's store was totally boring and had nothing but DBZ and Hello Kitty crap all in it. Me and Anna and these two guys in our group spent MONEY in China on some cool clothes. Me and Anna got these little Chinese dresses. TOO CUTE! ^_^ Mine's red and hers is blue. We took lots of pictures. Then we went to MGM to ride the Tower of Terror and Rock n Roller Coaster one time before we had to go. I took pictures with:

*Sleeping Beauty
*Aladdin
*The Masked Queen in Italy
*Snow White

Sunday: Anna didn't go because she had the most HUGE and NASTY blisters on the bottom of her feet. So she stayed in the hotel room all day. So I hung out with some of my other friends. We went to MGM and we rode rides ALL day. We went back to Epcot for some shaved ice. And we played Dance Dance Revolution alot. And we ate breakfast at the House of Blues. It was fun. That night at the Hotel Room we went swimming and had pizza. Pictures:

*Pocahontas
*Cinderella
*Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc
*Belle
*Jasmine
*Megara

Monday: And we started off by eating breakfast at Fort Wilderness. Then we marched in the Magic Music Days parade and it was SO FREAKING HOT. Then me and my friend MaryAnderson pushed Anna around in a wheelchair ALL day. It was cool though because we hardly ever had to wait in line. ^_^ We went to Magic Kingdom but we only stayed for a little while because it was so boring. And hot. I had on jeans (my stupid mistake) so I kept them rolled up all day. Then we went back to MGM and rode rides all day and I played DDR some more. We had pizza again for dinner. ANNA hogged all of the blanket! I don't remember if I took any pictures...I think I was pictured out. I wanted the Little Mermaid so I could take pictures with ALL SIX Disney princesses, but I was not about to wait in line for an hour at Magic Kingdom.

Tuesday: We went to Universal Islands of Adventure. We ate breakfast at the Hard Rock Cafe. It wasn't as great as last year, but it was still nice. Then me and Anna ran and rode the Hulk Rollercoaster without having to wait in line. Then we rode the Spiderman and the Dueling Dragons and then we went to the arcade and played DDR for about two hours. We spent lots of money on that. (Her feet *Obviously* were feeling better). Then we rode the Jurassic Park River Adventure with her mother and Dueling Dragons one last time and we left. I was so ready to be on the way home. Pictures:

*Betty Boop
*Green Goblin

We got in about midnight last night and went straight to bed. Now we are all super sore and can barely walk. But it was so awesome. Yay!

And the whole time I was in Orlando, I kept thinking, Transtic lives here! ^_^;

Tori, your trip sounds so fuuun! I wish that Disneyland had more than just the one park (not counting California Adventure).

Erik and I made a spontaneous decision that we're going to Disneyland tomorrow. It has to be one of the coolest places that I've ever been; I'm so glad that I live so close to it!

Tori, you're sooo lucky!! Are you going to post any of your pictures? ^^

Ack, I didn't mention you guys in LA, since you live so close to DisneyLand already!! ^^;; I ment the people who live in Cali, but like, three hour-drive away. >>;

Anywho, is the Winnie-the-Pooh ride going to be similar to the one in Orlando? I actually really liked the one in Orlando. I still like Piglet and Eeyore, sooo... ^^;

From what I have heard, the Disneyland version is nearly identical to the version in Florida. You shouldn't expect anything terribly new or different, since they have less space to build the ride in. But I'm excited, this is the first new ride at Disneyland in five years.

So that's why there were soooo many radio stations broadcasting live today. There were even stations from Pheonix, Salt Lake City, and Canada. Erik and I figured that it was such a huge deal because new things don't open up very frequently.

Anyhoo, the Pooh ride was soooo cute! And it's great the way it's not a flat ride, the honeypot actually tips back and forth and side to side.

Disneyland is the coolest place in the world ;D

(Oh, and I fooled the ticket lady into thinking I was a California resident with my college ID, even though I don't have a California license...I win ^_^)

*Falls over laughing at Jenna* Well, Juu Darling, I am going to post some pictures as soon as I get them. I went to pick them up today and the lady at Wal-Mart (Oh the irony) was so rude and they weren't ready even though they were supposed to be and yeah...*sighs* I hate Wal-Mart.
