James
ssj3matthew, I really recommend that you read our rules. Even though there is some validity to this thread, I think you could have put a little more effort in. For example, you might want to tell us what your favourite car is and why. Go into a little detail; give us some reasons and prompt some discussion. That's what we like to see at OtakuBoards. If this thread is able to move in that direction, then it can certainly remain open. Otherwise, it will be closed.
Justin
My personal favorite manufacturer is Ford. I just like their engine and their cars better. My favorite line of cars is the Mustang line. However, my current favorite car is the '70 Chevelle SS454. Man, that's a sexy beast. -Justin
Guest ssj3matthew
ok, i voted for the general motors everybody in our household has had nothing but gm's; they're comfortable, reliable, powerful for the most part, and most have a lot of style (don't know what anyone else thinks) we used to have an '84 grand prix, and it would've lasted another 30 years if someone didn't put sugar in the gas tank now, we have two chevrolets, a '95 monte carlo z34 and a '91 s-10 pickup. the pickup is in bad shape, the timing is off, the starter is old, the engine sputters a lot, and just yesterday the oil valve split and the oil tank was empty in 5 minutes flat (the people who had it before us didn't take care of it at all) the z34 is a good-looking car and it has a nice 3.4 litre V6 dual overhead cam engine. you can get in this thing, put the seat back, and be snoring in 10 minutes it's so comfortable
NeoCactuar
Im going for porche after i have seen that new Carrera GT. V10 5.7 liters, 612 bhp and 0-100 in 3.9 seconds. *Drowns in puddle of own drool*

Red
Well, I can't just vote for one of those. >.< The Aston Martin DB7 is one of my most favourite cars, especially since the new and old versions both maintain a sense of 'cool', but are actually quite powerful. My next favourite would be the Ferrari F355 Spider. I mean, WHAT a car! A bit smaller than most other cars of its type though, which I think lets it down a bit. Especially since it's got a lot of "vents" and grooves lining it, which makes it look a little chunky. I only really like the TVR Chimera for the fact you can get it in two-tone colour, and it sounds like a beast on the road. ^_^ Last, but definitely not least, would have to be the Porsche 911 GT II. The improvements on the car were very cool, not just steering/suspension changes like the other Carerra/911 models. Although, I would have liked to have seen more visual changes, but hey, its a damned fast car. Anyway.. those are the kind of car brands that I really like, lol.
Transtic Nerve
I loathe fords... and Dodges, even though I drive a dodge, but technically it's a Mitsubishi, not a dodge... anyway... Jews don't drive Fords. Just thought I'd say that I like Toyotas myself. Anything Japanese to me is good, although they have a tendency to have computer problems cause everything runs electronically half the time. I don't like heavy doors.... All American cars have really heavy doors, all japanese cars have light doors.... so yeah... plus out of all the Toyotas we've had in our family, none of them have gone like dead. We once owned a Taurus, what a piece of Garbage.... Now my family owns a 1991 Dodge Stealth, 1995 Honda Civic, 1999 Toyota Camry, 1998 GMC Sanoma, and a 1993 Ford Mustang GT. Yu Yu Hakusho!
My parents and I have had too much trouble with American cars, so all we buy is Japanese. We have a Mitsubishi Galant in Black which is my mom's and a Nissan GLE Maxima 2003 which is my dad's. We're about to trade in my mom's car for the new Z car from Nissan, I hope. I voted for the Porsche, since I don't know much about cars. I am a girl, after all. I just like sports cars...
Vegitto4
I dont have a personal manufacturer persay....but right now, the current car I want, is the one that Chrysler has in production. it's insanely expensive. here is why. 1:1 ratio. (thats 1,000 horses under the hood, as well as 1,000 lbs of torque) 6 gears(ish) idles at 30 mph. Which means, I could idle down my residential street, and not even think about putting a foot on the gas. THIS CAR IS GOD!!!
TheShinje
My all time favorite car would have to be the Ford XR 8. This car is great looking, smooth riding, great handling ect. I like flacons as well. I like Anything made by Ford really. I also like Holdens, which are partly manufactured by GM, although I'm pretty sure it's still an Aussie car :p On the Porsche 911. I thought they might change it's name after september 11 (9/11) but it's good they chose not to. (just like the real big surprise I got to see the WTC in Gangs of new York, when the movie was delayed because of it)
Juu
I absolutely loooooove Toyota Avalons. My mom has an Avalon, and I love it!! The shape is pretty simple, but it's really pretty, too. I absolutely love silver cars, because they're simple and pretty at the same time! ^_^ Porche is also good, but it's a little too expensive for me. x.x;
Heaven's Cloud
I tend to like older cars...late fifties to around '72. I really like GTOs, Cheveles, Chargers...anything that throws a ton of muscle. My favorite car, however, has to be the convertible impala of the early sixties. It has some power..not too much...but it is a great crusier, an incredibly laid back automobile. As far as new cars go, I really like the Avalanche, but I think it is highly impracticle. I also like the Landrover Freelander...that SUV is cherry. Right now I am stuck with my '98 Saturn coupe...it is a good little car, all I really need (and can afford).
Kent
Mclaren F1. The fastest production car ever made. 3.1 seconds 0-60 240+ mph top speed 6.0 liter, twin turbo charged, BMW V-12. 650+ horse power All wheel drive Three seater... Driver in the middle, two offset seats to its rear. One million dollar price tag The first year of production, this car won the overall title at the 24 hours of Le Mans. This is a gt car, not a prototype. (that should mean something to the Le Mans fans.) This is an amazing car and I suggest you all check the images I put together in this attachment. Transtic Nerve
Yes, and the day anyone here can afford that will be? lol... I tend to like cars I have a chance at... lol. On a side note, that was the car I always drove in "Need for Speed 2"
Kent
Yup, I also like cars that are obtainable... However, for the dreamer in me its the McLaren. My obtainable car is the fastest car made since the McLaren F1... I also want to mention that I love cars in general. The cobra 427 Ferrari F40 360 modena 53 vette Porche, any model, any year. (then again...) Lamborgini, ferrari, porche, McLaren and a few others... all of them, any model, any year. If I was gonna pick a car that I may be able to have one day... I would pick the corvette. Its amazingly awesome in terms of performance. It looks great and its all american. I also want to say that I love BMW in most respects. The M3 is an awesome car and the M5 is also an awesome car. Most of all, what I love about the 3 series is the 50/50 wieght distrubution front to rear. In a sport sedan availible for 30 thousand, that is a great attribute that is not something most people look at when they buy those cars for the name recognition or little plate on the front. Btw, does anyone know where that little bmw symbol comes from? I do... if you would like to know, just ask. I know james knows, so he cant answer, since I told him a few months ago. So... who knows? Lady Asphyxia
Personally [although I don't know much about cars] I like the older ones. My current personal favorite is an old Alfa Romeo [or however you spell it. Pshhh] Convertible. Someone told me that there isn't much power to it, but I don't care, really. Just as long as it's purdy...
Mitch
Hm. I don't know anything about cars. So, thus, I will say my favorite car is the one I currently own. It's a 1985 Plymouth Reliant.

LostProphet
Ford Falcon. Its basically a Mustang predecessor, and one of, if not the best, car of it's day. I'm kind of biased though. I have a 1966 Ford Falcon, just cant drive it yet...
BlueTrunks
are all the people on this forum truck people cuz when you look at that poll it's mostly the truck developers. Justin
I've never been a big fan of the Falcon. I know it was the base for the design of the Mustang, but unless you looked at the interior of Falcon and early 'Stangs, you wouldn't be able to tell. 60's Mustangs are way more aggressive looking, in my opinion, than Falcons. Though, the '78 Falcon(Mad Max) is one of the badest Blue Ovals there has ever been. I also kind of like Torinos. They don't look as good as Mustangs, but they were among Ford's lesser-known muscle cars. -Justin
