SSJ5 Vegeta
I like a Toyota Supra with over 1000 hp that runs on pump 90 octane gas, and get's 20 miles to the gallon and has a 400 shot NOS fogger system. I've seen one like that on a website somewhere. But my dream car I think, or my idea which is unique I think. A hard top Caddilac hearse, fill up the back with Audibon's and a big amp to bump it, and a CD player up front, with chrome trim interior with all black leather seats. I'd throw a 455 cubic inch big block in it, have a chrome supercharger coming up through the hood, and two dual 3.5 inch chrome flowmasters coming out the back, and some fat slicks on the tires with some Chrome or gold rims, plus gold trim on the car mixed with chrome, and tinted out windows. And a good alarm system.
SSJ5 Vegeta
Originally posted by gokents Yup, I also like cars that are obtainable... However, for the dreamer in me its the McLaren. My obtainable car is the fastest car made since the McLaren F1... I also want to mention that I love cars in general. The cobra 427 Ferrari F40 360 modena 53 vette Porche, any model, any year. (then again...) Lamborgini, ferrari, porche, McLaren and a few others... all of them, any model, any year. If I was gonna pick a car that I may be able to have one day... I would pick the corvette. Its amazingly awesome in terms of performance. It looks great and its all american. I also want to say that I love BMW in most respects. The M3 is an awesome car and the M5 is also an awesome car. Most of all, what I love about the 3 series is the 50/50 wieght distrubution front to rear. In a sport sedan availible for 30 thousand, that is a great attribute that is not something most people look at when they buy those cars for the name recognition or little plate on the front. Btw, does anyone know where that little bmw symbol comes from? I do... if you would like to know, just ask. I know james knows, so he cant answer, since I told him a few months ago. So... who knows?
The BMW symbol became because back in WWII BMW made airplane engines, and afterwards they got in the car business, and used the blue and white checkers to show white propeller blades on a blue sky. Also the Corvette, really sucks in terms of performance. The new 2003 Z06 has 500 horses, 100 more than the new 400Hp mustang, and the mustang still accelerates faster. 500HP Z06: 0-60 4.3 400 HP Mustang: 0-60 4.2 And the new Mitsu Lancer Evo VIII outruns a BMW M3 plus it's cheaper. And actually the fastest obtainable car, if you're willing to put in some wrench time, you could get for about 30,000 plus 10,000 or so dollars worth of goodies thus equaling the 'Vette price tag that would make a Corvette look like an idiot would be a Nissan Skyline which you can get from special dealers, and will run at least a 9 or 10 second quarter mile, with 3.0 0-60 time, if you have have Blitz customize it and add about 850-890 hp. Veilside also made a 1300 HP Skyline. Me I'd get an AWD version, no tire slip, you'd just be smoking fools all day long.
Kent
Well I gotta say that I dont really know about those stats. The only thing I can say for sure is... 1. the McLaren has proven itself, the bugatti hasn't. 2. comparing a stock vette to a mustang that is the highest level of its kind is like comparing a bmw 325 to an audi s4. However, I like the fact that you are interested in cars to that extent. Its good to know, but your additude isnt all that nice to know. But what ever. I dont really like getting into flame wars over something as idiotic as arguing about the handling of cars no one has driven besides a select few in all of the world. Still a good call by you on the bmw symbol...:D
BabyGirl
You left out an "Other" choice in the poll ;) My favorite cars are of the Audi line. A personal love is the Audi TT, even if I don't really know all of its 'specs' and 'stats'. I just think it's a beautiful car, and it drives beautifully, too. I had the rare privelage of driving my father's TT one day, and i was tempted to speed off into the sunset and never come back :p I really like fast cars, and the six-speed Audi TT is very, very speedy  [Erik says hi.] Edit: However, as much as I support foreign cars, I totally punked out and now drive a Ford Focus zx5. It's a great little car and I love it to death, but I've decided that it's going to become inoperable in three years time. My cd player broke for no reason the other day, after only having the car for less than a year, and I project that it is the start of a long and painful tango with an American car...
Shy
I'm not a huge 'car person' obviously, but I have been shopping for cars with my family for the past few months. Originally I thought that I wanted a truck of some kind, for years I had dreamed of driving around town in the largest truck imaginable. But I realized that I was never going to use the extra space in the back. Finally I setlled on something small and foreign, a Volkswagen (sp?) Jetta being my first choice. They are really nice cars, and they get excellent mileage. Of course, I doubt that mileage is a very important factor for most of you when you pick your favorite cars. *feels awkward and leaves* -Shy
Lady Macaiodh
Ford: Found On Road Dead. Heh, there's another really good anagram about the suckiness of Fords but I can't remember all of it & it was obscene, anyway. The worst car I've ever had was an '87 Ford Taurus. Here are some of the reasons: 1) It leaked a quart of oil a week & there was a huge black stain on my parking space; 2) it would cut off when idling so when I got to stop lights & stuff, I had to throw it into neutral really fast & gun it; 3) it ate tapes; 4) it was the slowest car in the history of the planet; 5) the windsheild wipers only worked when it wasn't raining -- otherwise the driver's side wiper would fly off & I'd have to get out & look for it in the rain; 6) it went through 2 transmissions, & the first one I got ($1500) broke three days after the warranty ran out. The moral is, I can't believe anybody would like a Ford. I like old Nissans. They're reliable & easy to work on yourself.

Lady Macaiodh
Ha! I love that. My mom just got a 2003 Mustang. I told her she should have gotten the Corvette, but she didn't like the way it looked as much. Oh well, at least she got one with manual transmission. Hate to admit it, but that thing rocks.

Fall
I like any car from the Holden line-up.. Even though they're partly related to General Motors, they're more of an Australian car than anything else. The Holden CV6/8 Monaro for example, made a $100million contract of being exported to America, known over there as the Pontiak GTO. An Australian car. It's basically Ford and Holden going for the top spot here. Though to put my opinion simply, I like Holden more than any other car, because they're better. Kent
The holden is sweet... I can see what your saying. I also like the holden very much and it is nice to see the new gto taking its form from the holdens... here are some pics. One is the holden and the other is the new pontiac gto. Zanarkand Abes
I have wanted a Toyota Supra for a couple years now, but I can't afford one. My friend from church has one with a body kit, dual exhaust, and has pretty much suped it up to its maximum capacity. I love his car and want one like it real bad, but I would paint it the color of he Supra at the very end of The Fast and The Furious, and have a wicked decal running down the sides. Probably a fiery Pheonix.
Vegitto4
Not a bad choice jon. Very nice. Personally, I was a prelude, add a body kit, probably add a small amount of NOS for fun, as well as some other nifty things Such as Sony Xplods, and 2 amps, one hitting the sub, and the other the normal speakers. total amount for that system, with out second amp is around $1120 I can get it and get it installed for free. Queen Asuka
Well...I like Dodge trucks and VolksWagon Beetles. Fords are a pain in the rear. We have an Explorer and there is ALWAYS something wrong with that thing. I hate it...and I love it at the same time... I really like our Dodge Dakota though...I am definately a truck person...
PiroMunkie
I do not really know much about cars, at all. Though I have been rather fond of El Caminos, lol. It is like a car and a truck. There is nothing better. o_O
Justin
My family has always been a Ford/Dodge family...and we've never had any real problems with them...at least none that weren't my mother's fault for not changing the fluids. -Justin

James
Well, I'm a big Japanese car nut. Japan makes some awesome cars, but my favourite would have to be the R34 GT-R. What an absolutely amazing machine! It's nickname is "Godzilla" in Japan (and no wonder!). Skylines are great cars. In fact, they used to be built in both Japan and Australia (as a local car, they participated in racing events here too). And the 200SX (only available in Japan and Australia) is an insanely cool car -- I wish I could afford one. Other than that...there's the whole host of Australian muscle cars that are always great. HSV and Ford Performance Vehicles, specifically. I might grab some pics and put 'em up here if nobody's already done so.
Justin
I'm really looking for an '87 Mustang 5.0, if I can get one at a good price. If I can't get one of those, I'll probably try looking into a '92 Honda Prelude. I'm not a big fan of rice rockets, but those things are bad. James, by saying "American muscle cars", do you mean the newer generation or the older, vintage models? -Justin
James
I said "Australian muscle cars". ^_^ Here is the GT-P, for example. This is a car made by FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) and it is a modified version of the Ford Falcon (made by Ford Australia). So, FPV is like BMW's M-Power or Nissan's Nismo. It's their tuning/performance/luxury arm. And if you want some statistics on the GT-P: Engine Type: Boss 290 - High-performance 5.4L Quad Cam 32 valve V8 Max. Power 290kW@5,500rpm Max. Torque 520Nm@4,500rpm Engine Size (cc) 5408 Compression Ratio 10.5:1 Bore x Stroke 90.2mm x 105.8mm
