Ilmiwyrth muttered something about not having done a bar course recently, and fervently hoped his playing around with existance was having impacts in one of his less favoured realities. Considering he didn't like 90% of them, it wasn't too bad odds. Still, this had better not get to be a habit. He wasn't even sure what wine he had gotten her, but she didn't seem to object.

Ilmiwyrth: I was even nice enough not to spike it.

Lifé: I doubt you'd find too effective a soporific.

Ilmiwyrth: I was thinking thalium.

He let her have the glass and turned to Vichante and Shalistrae.

Ilmiwyrth: I assume you two want something as well? May as well get ourselves all completely inebriated.

Lifé: Save yourself Shalistrae.

Shalistrae: I'm fine. And so is he.

At this point, she gave him an elbow into the gut and he groaned an affirmative.

Ilmiwyrth: Controlling woman...

Lifé: Sex is ten times as effective as a certain sleeping potion I can make, it's not like he'll have trouble getting his high.

Ilmiwyrth: I'll leave that statement to dismiss itself as the falsehood it is.

Lifé: Confident, aren't we.

Ilmiwyth: Experienced. Tolerance is bliss.

Ilmiwyrth turned away, not interested in continued the current conversation. In the spirit of things anyway, he poured himself a few drinks. Perhaps he would see just how much alcohol he could consume before passing out. More than enough to put anything on this planet under the table, if his last month long binge was anything to go by.

Lifé turned and grabbed his wrist, twisting viciously. He growled and shook her off....but she had succeeded. He lost his concentration, and the drinks had vanished. She was two steps away from fully glorifying and blinding him....but she resited the temptation to do so.

Ilmiwyrth: The hell?

Lifé: ....you are not showing up to my parent's house drunk off your sorry åss.

Ilmiwyrth: You going to stop me?

Lifé: I can. Don't make me.

Ilmiwyrth: I'm afraid you'll have to knock me out to stop me.

Enough. She glorified fully, blinding everyone her with magic. Four wings, and hair longer than her body....hands on his neck, pressing down on his trachea.

Ilmiwyrth gave her a smile full of teeth, and struck back. The intervening space between them was filled with rapidly expanding gases, mainly chlorinates. Ilmiwyrth kept the potency down, so that they merely threw Life back, rather than stripped the flesh from her bones. He allowed a few trees to bear the full brunt, reduced to pale grey skeletons in under a second.

As Lifé hit the ground, a strange black substance formed over her, leaving only her face exposed. She struggled, and exerted power, both to no avail. Ilmiwyrth walked over and placed a foot idly on the make shift cage.

Ilmiwyrth: This, my dear, is dark matter. Transplanted intact from a formerly material dimension that was unravelled a few years ago, in our time, by the sudden invasion of one of the Unliving races. As such, it can not, in any way, interact with real matter. Spiritual or physical. So you are, in a word, stuck.

He pulled another bottle out of the air and took a long swig, before tilting it so that it poured down over her face. He gave a mildly amused laugh, and stepped back, transporting the dark matter back to the nearest nullified area.

Ilmiwyrth: That cage could have been two inches tighter without a problem.

She shook her head, body covered in what could've been light. But it wasn't real enough. Bright enough. Ilmiwyrth turned to chastise her, until he felt his body get tossed backawrds into the trees he had destroyed. She was hovering above him, having just delivered a blast of rushing wind, and not magic. She hissed venemously, then threw up a wall of Chaos magic, and any attack he tossed in her direction was absorbed.

She covered herself in her wings, letting her body absorb the shock. It had been awhile since she had tested the extent of her powers...but it still felt like home. Aerin Beastmaster looked up from her plotting and smiled. Her fledgeling was testing the waters once more, pushing herself...no doubt.

Lifé took the blows, one after the next, then sent out a reversal attack, any energy sent twoards her would simply reflect back. A spell not known well...but ingrained into her body. Shalistrae watched cooly....waiting for the two of their egos to deflate.

Ilmiwyrth shook his head, laughter spewing from his mouth. The world shifted around them, and they now hovered inside a volcano. Sunlight streamed down around them, mixing with the red glow of magma below them. Ilmwiyrth looked up, the roof collapsing inwards until it was without gap or opening.

Ilmiwyrth: Even if you do get out, I welcome your attempt to work out which quantum zone, nevertheless which time zone, you're in. And I look forward even more to your attempt to return.

He disappeared, leaving Lifé in a more than slightly intenable situation. He reappeared in front of Vichante and Shalistrae, his eyes cold.

Ilmiwyrth: No, I didn't outrightly kill her. It was tempting, but I gave her a stay of repreive.

She sighed deeply, and plunged down into the death below. Instantly, her flesh was burned from her bones, everything consumed, but the starseed she had given to the Fae earlier. It gave her another rebirth, and Lifé was soon back into her mortal body once more. Of course, the Fae lucky enough to be holding the starseed was consumed by it, but a small price to pay. Completely naked, but quite unconcerned, she walked back to where the group had last been, and found Ilmiwyrth, looking rather pleased with himself.

She crossed her arms, and waited, eyebrow quirked. He turned, and stared.

Lifé: If I could remember your name...I would probably want to kill you.

Shalistrae: He's Ilmiwyrth.

Ilmiwyrth: Damn.

Lifé: .....right. Everything's a bit hazy, but it'll come back.

Ilmiwyrth: You don't look...quite the...

Lifé: I killed my Angelorum self. Reborn in the starseed I had given to a fae earlier. In all accounts, this will be the fiftieth time I've done such a reckless and "rash" thing. I find it rather exhilerating. Don't you?

Ilmiwyrth shrugged.

Ilmiwyrth: Not really. It's normally only a matter of seconds before transumting my unclothed spirit into something else. Full destruction might well end me, but having been in a null state before, and gotten out of it, it's very unlikely.

Lifé: And just how many times have you done that?

Ilmiwyrth: A few thousand. Not too bad a track record, considering the company I keep.

Lifé: Now I remember why I wanted to kill you.

Ilmiwyrth: Most do. If not, they tend to redevelop the urge without outside interference.

He shrugged again, absently rolling his left shoulder through the joint. He cast a critical eye over Lifé, and drew in a cloak, and threw it to her.

Ilmiwyrth: What are the odds of refusing it out of pride hmmm?

She balled it up and tossed it in his face.

Lifé: Very good.

Ilmiwyrth: I knew it.

Lifé: Men...

With a shake of her head, her already long hair grew down past her ankles, partially covering her body.

Shalistrae: The fashion of your mother. Going to keep it that way?

Lifé: Until they complain about my lack of clothes...yes.

Vichante: Your mother sits around naked with long hair.

Lifé: Yes actually. It's quite annoying....so I'll probably go pick up a belt and a skirt. Just to piss her off.

Ilmiwyrth rolled his eyes and ignored her. He somehow doubted she was in any position to speak of annoying. Of course, he was willing to admit a slight bias, but that didn't really avoid the facts at all.

Ilmiwyrth: Can we finally get around to going somewhere?

Vichante: What the hell is it with you and rampant impatience?

Ilmiwyrth: Call it a character defect.

Lifé: I was intending to.

Ilmiwyrth considered dropping a few large rocks on her hair as she walked. Probably wouldn't be worth the effort, but hearing the scalp get ripped off did sound somewhat tempting... He sighed, and dismissed the idea. He'd upset more than enough kingdoms in the past by getting into fights with relatively important citizens. Ah well. Even if one more would make no difference, he might actually try diplomacy.

Shalistrae wiggled her ears, and tensed up her body. The air became cool and she could smell something sweet. Her fur stood out like static and Lifé turned. In that instant, the lightning storm broke loose....rain pouring down on them all. Her hair clung to her body, leaving nothing to the imagination.

She turned, and smiled at Ilmiwyrth. He glared back. Lifé pointed her face upwards, catching the raindrops in her eyes. Then she continued walking west. Not long....the village was nearby.

Shalistrae: I hate this weather.

Lifé: I like it...

Ilmiwyrth: In most situations, so do I.

Lifé: But not this one?

Ilmiwyrth sighed, and his response was a tempered drawl.

Ilmiwyrth: Temperature's dropping. It'll get cold enough to freeze, how soon do you think?

She gave him a look of pure contempt. He could have put it into practice, but this diplomacy thing may as well stick. Still, he could dream. Strange that he was dreaming about that, all things considered, but what could you do.

The came into the village in good time, the weather turned from pouring to a slight drizzle. Lifé calmly entere the nearest tailor shop and purchased a skirt. She adjusted the length to her heigh, then paid him and left. Shalistrae eyed the thigh high slit with some interest.

Shalistrae: You certainly got your money's worth.

Lifé: I wouldn't know. I never liked shopping.

Ilmiwyrth: Makes you look vaugely normal again.

She ignored him and walked to the tavern. They entered and were greeted by raccous laughter. Lifé was promptly hit on by several drunken men, followed by a she-male. She ignored it, ordered herself a glass of wine, and sat down.

Shalistrae: I suddenly love my life.

Lifé: Nick off. This isn't funny.

Ilmiwyrth: I thought it was.

Lifé: Gag.

Ilmiwyrth: Don't do that, you'll upset your admirers.

Lifé: Who appointed you as my tormentor of the month?

Ilmiwyrth: It's a thankless job, but I've got a lot or karma to burn off. Anyway, I'll leave you to your delights, and find myself some entertainment.

Ilmiwyrth found another seat some distance away, and ordered a few drinks. He raised a glass to Lifé, and a few to her newest round of suitors. She glared back at him, and turned to snap at some overbold creature. As soon as she turned away, Ilmiwyrth walked out, keeping the drink. There wasn't a lot of interest, but what could one do. Besides, whatever was in his tankard deserves to be allowed to sublimate.

She couldn't take it anymore. Using a skill she hadn't used in ages, she melted through the wall, pulling her entire being with her...and the glass of wine. The suitors continued talking to the homunculus she had left behind.

Once free, she took to the woods, climbed a tree and sat down in the highest stable branch. There...she cursed herself. And waited for Ilmiwyrth to come bother her again. She didn't have long to wait.

Ilmiwyrth: That was quick.

Lifé: .......oy.

Ilmiwyrth: Don't tell me you left them all in the lurch...

Lifé: I left them all in the lurch. Bad me. I don't care. I need to get drunk.

Ilmiwyrth: And despite that, I wasn't allowed to get drunk.

Lifé: Just shut up and get yourself inebriated.

Ilmiwyrth: Told you it would work.

Lifé just snarled at him. Ilmiwyrth shrugged, and took a polite sip. She eyed his uncharacteristic behaviour suspiciously, then ignored it, downing most of hers with one drink. Ilmiwyrth silently gave her one of his, his face expressionless.

Lifé: Don't think I'll be any more pliable when drunk.

Ilmiwyrth: That was the furtherest thing from my mind.

He took another, longer pull at his own glass, grimacing slightly at the poor quality. Lifé apparently wasn't in the mood for such inhibitions though.

She sighed and rolled over onto her back. Ilmiwyrth climbed up until he was on a nearby branch...waiting for her to say something else interesting. She looked up at the pale moon....almost gone.

Lifé: ....I really am starting to hate my life.

Ilmiwyrth: Why were you named after it?

Lifé: ...my parents subtle attempt at humor. In theory....I could've been just as easily named Death. But then I wouldn't have served who I serve now.

Ilmiwyrth: Fascinating.

Lifé: Don't lie.

She groaned softly and rolled onto her stomach again. Although getting drunk wasn't too hard for her, she still hated doing it. But sometimes....sacrifices had to be made...for the betterment of her altered state of being.

Ilmiwyrth: There's a difference between outright lying and mere social courtesy.

Lifé: I thought you...didn't have the patience for it.

Ilmiwyrth: I recommend you don't attempt to speak anymore.

Lifé took his advice. Whether she took it willingly or not would normally be considered debatable, but considering her apparent state, not to mention the rather incoherent noises that seemed almost to bubble from her prone form, she wasn't in much of a position to debate anything. Ilmiwyrth had an uncanny certainty she'd still find a way to voice her probably annoying opinion though.

She opened her eyes a few hours later. He was still there. Amazingly, her better judgement was back...and so was her temper. She did nothing but keep her eyes open...before rolling out of the tree and down to the ground. Landed on her feet. Strangely enough. He looked down.....awoken by her sudden reintroduction to gravity. She looked up at him, then rolled her eyes.

Ilmiwyrth: Welcome back to reality.

Lifé: ...go take a long walk off a short pier.

He chuckled to himself and she gave him the lovely view of her middle finger.

Ilmiwyrth: Yeah. Life'll kill ya.

Lifé just glared at him. That was getting to be a rather disconcerting habit. Ilmiwyrth rolled his eyes and leapt down, landing beside her. He looked at her curiously a moment, before his hand snaked out and intercept hers, bringing it up. He curled back all her fingers except the middle one, and looked at it closely.

Ilmiwyrth: I don't see the relevence.

She jerked her hand back with all the indignation of a drenched feline. Ilmiwyrth gave a rakish laugh and shook his head.

Ilmiwyrth: Oh come now, you did offer it.

Lifé: ....no, I was insinuating the idea that you go off and do it to some cheap whore that doesn't have anything else to do.

Ilmiwyrth: And you have something to do?

Lifé: ....oh gods....spare me.

He caressed her cheek and she slapped his hand away with more than just a little annoyance.

Ilmiwyrth gave her a smile that was almost bursting with delight. And she had no idea why. Actually, he probably didn't either. Other than the fact that it was seemingly the perfectly calculated method of annoying her... She snarled at him again, his blithe grin didn't falter. She started to stalk away from him, when she felt his hand on her shoulder. She spun, truly angry now. His expression, however, was pure seriousness. She faltered a minute, and he took the opportunity to smile, his grin verging on completely insane.

Ilmiwyrth: The owls are not what they seem...

She broke free and spun away, followed by a burst of uncontrollable laughter.

So....he wanted to play games...? She turned and put her hand on his cheek. He smiled and faced her. She drew closer and caught him in a feirce kiss...teeth grazing against his lips, biting down. He let out a muffled shout and pushed her away.

She laughed to herself. Wiped his spit away, and she preened.

Ilmiwyrth: You....

Lifé: Asked for it.

Ilmiwyrth: I was going to say you need more practice, but I'll concede the point.

Lifé: I need more practice?

Ilmiwyrth winked, and determinedly grabbed her. She resisted of course, but it seemed a little feigned to Ilmiwyrth's overly suspicious mind. He caught her jaw with one hand, forcing it open. He forced his tongue inside her mouth, his fingers stopping her from clamping her jaws shut, and absently ran his tongue lightly over the top of her mouth.

In under a second, she was howling. (OOC: If you've never had it done to you by someone else, you just won't understand. But trust me...it's horrible.) He backed away, smiling broadly at her again.

IlmiwyrthL: That's far more satsifying, I must say.
