Juu
Soo.. what did you think about 'Anger Management'? I saw it last night, and I didn't like it very much. Some of the parts were funny, but I was very disappointed in the ending. I liked the cameos, and there are a few parts you might like if you like sports alot. Anywho, I think it was okay. I'm not really a big fan of Adam Sandler, anyway, so I was just curious what you guys thought. ^_^; My rating: 5.4/10.
GinnyLyn
I'm getting mixed reviews on this from everyone. *points to siggy* Good for a laugh. Anyways, I found out about this because of a joke my management team is playing on one of the managers. Short fuse guy. From what I saw in the previews, Dr. Buddy Rydell (sp?) acts a LOT like him. Heh. I'm not a terribly big fan of Sandler, but Nicholson is always fun. When evil. I'm planning to see this tomorrow (was supposed to see it today, but ah well). JCBaggee
I'm pretty much sold on the fact that it won't be that great, but I'm determined to see it anyways! Any movie with Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson in it is bound to be interesting at some point. It's still kinda hard to believe those two are in a movie together. --Chris
KittyLynn
I didn't like it a lot. I give it a 5/10. I don't like Sandlers at all! But it wasn't horrible.
Rhys Mayiessen
I haven't seen it yet but I wanted to...now that most of you say its bad I don't know if I want to see it anymore....
Wintermute
I don't think I've even heard of it. It's like the other day, I browsed the music charts top 40, and realised that I had heard 3 of the songs on it, and like none of them. I don't so much avoid mainstream culture as ignore it. Most of it's terrible. I tend to know a lot about things that interest me (Like anime, or a certain few obscure bands, like Primus or Victor Wooten), but I bet that I won't have heard of the 'artists' behind at least 5 of the last 10 no.1 songs. GinnyLyn
First off, I'd recommend that you be at least old enough to go for the rating (PG-13) and had a slighty lude and crude sense of humor. Personally, I felt there were some jokes that could have been left out, they were so tasteless (the crazy sister). There were also some plot points that were weird or just made no sense. The explanation at the end was, I felt, a cop out. I was very very confused about Buddy Rydell until the very end. Not good. HOWEVER, Sandler and Nicholson (sp?) played off each other very well. For once, Sandler's usual vulgarness was restrained until the predictable explosion moments, which helped his character a lot (I don't care for Sandler's characters half the time). Nicholson played the doctor with demonic glee, though, like I said, because of the writing I was left confused about his character. Two of my favorite scenes: the singing on the bridge and backing the car out from in front of another car. I was laughing so hard at those moments...heh. My rating: 7/10. Could have done better, could have done a LOT worse. (It could have been Carrey and Nicholson, *violent shudder*) "Temper's the one thing you can't get rid of by losing it." ~Buddy Rydell
KittyLynn
I agree with Ginny. It could have been a lot worse. "I feel pretty, Oh so Pretty, I feel Pretty and Witty..."
Semjaza
The movie has bad character development, poor writing, very few good laughs (apparently). It does, from the sounds of it, basically only one thing decently... and it still gets a 7? lol Almost anything could be a lot worse, I don't know that that makes anything better in the long run. I'm supposed to go to the movies tonight. From the sounds of it... I don't think this will be worth seeing. So hopefully, no one else will want to see it either lol. Ryo the Tamer
Don't rate something you have not seen. I agree with Ginny. Could've been better or worse. It's not something I'ld put on my list of favorites, but it was okay.
Sara
One of my friends threatened to severely hurt any of us who went to see it. He didn't like it...it was funny, listening to him rant.
Syk3
Well, Anger Management deffinitly wasn't one of my favorite Sandler movies, but it was alright I guess. There were a few funny moments, but overall they could have done a lot better. After seeing Mr. Deeds, I wasn't expecting a lot from this movie, since it seemed that Adam Sandler movies have started getting worse. I wouldn't recommend seeing this in theatres, but rather wait until it comes on video or HBO.
Change
The best part of the movie was John Tuturo. The man can act and he is sooooo funny (he played the Grenada veteran in the therapy group). I though it was great when he got into a bar fight witht he blind guy.
Charles
This was probably Sandler's best movie since Happy Gilmore(I've not yet seen Punchdrunk Love). I really enjoyed this one though. Jack Nicholson is great--his physical comedy was a great asset to the movie. His facial expressions were hilarious. And, the plot was a lot better than it was in films like Little Nicky or Mister Deeds. The humor was actually funny and enjoyable. It didn't feel quite as forced--it was more natural. Towards the end, the movie took a turn for the worse and adopted a lot of the ridiculous traits apparent in all of Sandler's films, but it's probably one of the best comedies I've seen in quite a while. It's not worth seeing more than once though, since most of the comedy relies on shock physical stuff, like guys getting hit randomly out of the blue.
