Writing First Poem I Be doing...

[Jesus Chicken]

In my english class at school, we're currently studying poetry. Since then I've started writing some, and I have a few up my sleeve now.

This is one I wrote last night. It covers a few things that were on my mind, and sorry if most of it lacks sense or anything that might resemble any rational thought, but here it is anway. Whatever you think, I would like to know.

Lying with the words, you're speaking them now,
lost in the routine, this repitition is fowl.
Lucky numbers they have no help when your friends plot against you,
lie, cheat and steal, then it's time to find some new.
Yet this can't be done when knowing everyone is what you're known for,
perhaps its better to have friends that lay on the floorboards.
Leaving all that you hold dear your friends and family,
how do you escape when there's nowhere to go but up?

Do you fly high and live in solitude,
or put up with it leaving the sky for wings?

There is a queen in my head but she tormentes me with her taste,
destroying my mind with her shocking companionship.
How could she be the only one who understands how I am,
when this maid of holyness is lost within herself?
Is it best to just leave behind this forgotten life,
and leave a mother's eyes to rain?
Let sorrow be her friend,
or should I let my fate cause the pain?

that is AWESOME!i think you have a pure talent for writing.i completely understand almost everything except for only 2 lines.anyways i think anyone who doesnt understand is kinda stupid because if you can understand it anyone can=)hey can you check out my poems?the threads are called "a poem" and "another poem"they are by different user names because my first user name was darkrequiemX99. then i got banned so I changed it to darkrequiemX98=)
