Manic Webb
When Bibidi created Majin Buu, he created the ultimate killing machine. It couldn't be destroyed, it killed without second thought, and it was stronger than the Kaioshin. Bibidi was a very clever wizard. Babidi, on the other hand, is a moron. Why in the name of Kami-sama did Babidi decide to awaken Buu? When Babidi's father, Bibidi, sealed Buu in his shell, he must have had a very good reason for it. "Gee, why ever would my father lock up his unstoppable, sociopathic killing machine after it was doing so well in destroying the Kaioshin? Oh well, I'll just wake it up and hope that whatever reason my father had for sealing it up won't happen to me." Yeah, so let's talk about some of the stupid things Babidi has done. PiroMunkie
Well, I would say he is a little looney, but I would not call him a moron. It was at the East Kaioshin's demand that Bibidi sealed away Buu. The only reason he did is because Majin Buu was getting too powerful for even the likes of Bibidi to control. This was all long before Babidi came back and ressurected Majin Buu. Babidi, since then, has had the time too become more powerful; assumably even more so than his father. Babidi had the power to control Majin Buu, but he just lacked the knowledge of being fully aware of what he was getting into. He gave Buu too much free will, thus allowing Buu more independency which lead to Maijn Buu's mutiny. So Babidi did have the spiritual power to control Majin Buu, just not the authoritive power. He was not dictating enough towards Majin Buu. He could not enforce anything. I mean, at points he was even intimidated by Buu. I would say he just did not know what he was getting into. He at least had a motive. A moron would not have a motive.
Guest Hikaru Ichijyo
Well I'm with PiroMunkie on this one...he's not so much of a moron but an idiot hell bent on getting revenge for his father no matter what the cost was. He paid the price obviously with his own life. As the saying goes those that are greedy for power soon learn that the power itself is ultimately their destruction. Manic Webb
Maybe I chose the wrong word when I called him a "moron." Blinded by vengeance, that's what he is.

I think it was the Supreme Kai that said it while Goku followed Yamu and Spopovitch (sp?) to Babidi's ship.
Charles
Yes, I'm sure that he was transported to Earth, but before Bibidi could release him from the ball, he was defeated by Kaioshin. I'm in agreement with the general consensus here. He was thirsty for the ultimate power--and his own arrogance made him believe that he could control it. I'd assume that he wanted to continue his father's legacy and extract revenge on Kaioshin. Logic probably didn't play a large part in his thought process. Vegitto4
I like the twist when absorbing Dai Kaio made Buu weaker. It defintely added some interesting thoughts... Moron? no, just........confused.....
Youko Minamino
Absorbing Dai Kaio didn't make Buu weaker. It just made him more playful and have a concieous, which would make him weaker in a sense, but not combat weaker. That was just FUNi bad dubbing to make it seem like Kid Buu was the strongest Buu when he is far from it. Anyway Babidi was basically bent on revenge for his father by resurecting Buu and killing Kaioshin. After he killed Kaioshin he would've went after the galaxy, but here is a better question. Why would anyone want to destroy their planet or their galaxy? What if you can't live anywhere else, or whats the point of being alone for the rst of your life? But basically he figured he ould control Buu, but he was wrong.
Nate
He wasnt a moron..for from it...in fact, very smart, i think...just not prepred..his magic wasn't good enough to control him...not even the majin curse that was on him......Babidi was stupid in a way...as in he should have waited for a while...but in another way he was smart....by doing it around the time of the Martial Arts Tournament, he was able to get strength from the BEST fighters.... REVENGE2
He didn't seem bent on revenge to me. Someone hell-bent on revenge doesn't act the way Baba-di does. I think it's more along the lines of he wanted power, he heard that his father made this funky powerful thing, he found and ressurected that funky powerful thing, and then promptly got killed but that funky powerful thing. He wasn't revenge-bent. Revenge-bent people either do the job themselves in a blind rage, and probably get killed in the process, or spend years of cold calculation, and don't take any chances, and probably succead Baba-di was just power hungry, and revenge was a neat side effect of getting that power
Mighty kai
I think Babidi is a good wizard. With that magic of his, who would'nt think he is good? But i was kinda angry at him a few times though.
