Semjaza
I like it, but at the same time is doesn't look cold like I'd expect it to. I'm not sure how better to explain that.
PiroMunkie
I would have to agree with Semmy. I do like it, but it could look colder. I like how the text blends with the "ice", as well as the hint of an orange-ish color in the background to go against the blue. Overall, it looks like it could be the logo to something, but could probably use a little tweaking.
Mitch
It's pretty nice, just needs some tweaking. For one it's kind of a little too bright. If you're going for a cold feeling, make it more dark and dreary; that'll give some sense of coldness to it. But at the same time, if you were to make it less bright, you should keep the glowing background. But lessen the little glowing background thing a tad; I'm sure that the glowingness does participate in making it seem so bright and not cold. Don't change the brightness too much, or it will ruin the overall feeling of it. Eh. Anyways, I really do like it; it looks like a logo or something interesting like that. 7.3/10.
GinnyLyn
Makes me think of "Klonoa 2" for some reason. oO; That or mutated Legend of Zelda rupees. Indeed, I like the effect, but it does seem too bright. And the brightness of your subject sorta contrasts a little too much to the "sullen" background (though I think that background is shweet--oil on water). I...um...have no suggestions. Just thoughts. Nifties. Looks pretty professional. 9/10.
Juu
It reminds me of popcicles. ^^; It looks nice, except I think it would look better if the background was a little more... white. They grey makes it seem kinda rock-cold rather than ice-cold. ( Hard to explain, bleck. >>; ) 8/10.
Semjaza
I don't really get why anyone here thinks ice should be dark, but meh. I think lightening up the background is a good suggestion.
GinnyLyn
OOO! Wait--maybe it's because the ice is too "fuzzy". Or blurred. Ice needs to be sharp, to me, to make it look more ice like (if you are going for the realistic look, that is). Just another thought thrown in there for you. It's not the color, it's the texture. :)
Rikku
The forms of the ice look too perfect. They look more like sword and dagger points than ice. Maybe make some irregularities and use trancparency on some of them? 7.5/
KKC
*rubbs eyes* Its so bright! I like it. The shpe of the ice looks cool and the color is neat.
Posthumous
It's nice, but not your best.It is kinda weird though... 7/
Subversive
Heres a different attempt, I'm just trying a new look at it.
GinnyLyn
Whoa...urks...the shadows are too dark. @_@ I like the texture thing you have going on the left side of the crystals, though--keep going with that.
Subversive
The ice does look perfect and clean because I was going for a 3D cartoony effect, I'm going to try to soften the shadow a little and make the crystal effect sharper and more prominent on the left. I might try to make a realistic version after I get the effect I want on this version.
Hittokiri Zero
ay not the crystal effect o_O. The crystals are jaggedy, it looks a tad icy, but would look better with less of that black-gray, and some darker blue in some places.
Guest
its that one effect from voidix...but if u want it to look cold dont make the crystals so light and trying to put some mist around it might help..also the overall gfc is too plain for me

I think if it was darker it'd look more morbid and cold. It'd give it that whole "used and worn and dark," kind of feeling, or something. Subversive
here's a third and I think much better (well for you light people) version...
GinnyLyn
*is blinded* Remind me not to tell you to lighten up...:rotflmao: All in all, the third's got a nice watercolor effect to it, especially in the background.
Semjaza
Is everyone against color or something? It's hardly blinding, unless you're sitting in a pitch black room and never go outside lol. Besides... what about this image makes anyone think it should be dark and damp? You (Mitch in this instance) are making it seem like it should look like ice in some sort of frozen catacomb or something. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think that's what SpyderDragon is going for at all. Darkening it up and making it like that doesn't seem to be the point at all based on what he's shown. Anyway, I like it best of the ones you've shown. The background fits. It still doesn't seem ice-y though. I think some sort of transparency effects would help, maybe. On the ice itself. The color differences in it are too harsh too... I think the transition needs to be a bit smoother. Still, I like it.

Thats what I was going for. Plain, Cartoony, yet having a somewhat 3D apperance. Its kinda a mix between and ice and snow. I'm gonna try to make a more ice looking one, but its really hard. Who the heck is Voidix?
