Anime Soul Hunter

Anyone else seen this series? If so what do you think about it? How far are you into it? Who is your favorite character? Know any good sites to find info on it? I'm close to finishing it, but haven't finished it. I have one more DVD to go, and a few volumes of the manga.


My favorite characters are Nataku(the first bad *** I ever liked), and Raizenshu(sp?).


Also 1 question for other SDH fans. Is Taikouba a Bishounen?

[font=trebuchet ms][color=darkblue]I watched it in Locomotion years ago, and it quickly became one of my favorite anime. I must have watched it like 10 times. I have the 26 episodes recorded on two tapes in Spanish, and the first 3 ADV DVDs. I was disappointed the DVDs didn't include the Spanish version, but what can you do?

My favorite character is Wenzon / Bunchuu. He's so cool, and his Mexican voice rocks. Still, I've read some of the manga, and it is certainly larger, more mature and detailed than the anime. The anime ends just in the middle of the story, and several characters were removed from the TV show. Still, it was a great series, and one that I will always cherish. Too bad it isn't popular outside of Japan. I feel like I'm part of a disconnected cult when I refer to Senkaiden Houshin Engi.

Also, the story is based on one of four Chinese legends, basically the downfall of the Yin Dinasty.[/color][/font]

[font=trebuchet ms][color=darkblue]I've seen it, but in Spanish in Locomotion, over a year ago. It's one of my favorite shows, but it's sadly unpopular in America. However, both the show and the manga are quite respected in Japan and some countries in Europe.

The show is mature but handles itself for all ages, really. There is the obvious presence of death. People are killed and commit suicide and murder based on idealism and honor (whether self-intentioned, or to the benefit of loved and adored ones.) Other than the mature nature of the characters, the show can be watched by a general audience.[/color][/font]

Yes I have seen Soul hunters and I really like the series because it's funny(Taikoubou jokes around and Nataku and Reishinzu(sp?) fight with each other most of the time, I like the opening and ending theme song, the Chineses mythology, I think the english voice actors fit the characters well, and how the characters are drawn. I seen all 26 episodes and have all the 5 DvDs.Soul Hunters is one of my favorite anime series. My favorite characters has to be Nataku, Taikoubou, Shibu, Youzen, Reishinzu(sp?), Tenka, Ko-Hiko(Tenka's father), and Bunchuu. Last I know some site about Soul Hunter but I can't remember them right now. I'll send you a private message about the websites alright. :)

YES!!!It's my favorite anime. I started watching itin spanish on locomotion and then on animax but they don't air it anymore. I bought the series even tough I saw them already. My favorite character has to be Youzen. Then there's fugen, nataku and Raishinshi.
