Titles?

I knew a guy who had a degrading nickname for most people. Not a title or a label, which infers that the same title or label can be applied to someone else, but an individual nickname.

Also, "president", "director", "Head master" are all titles, yet they aren't made with the purpose of insulting or humiliating anyone.

So I really don't think titles and nicknames differ in terms of whether they're bad or good at all. They both have a lot of each.
