I generally don't like old foagie songs, but there are some that are really really good, even if they are from the 60's. My absolute favourite oldie song atm would have to be 'Save The Last Dance For Me' by The Drifters... its a beatiful song and i just put it on repeat and just sit back and listen to it..... Unfortunatley my parents hear it and start singing it too....hehe. But i seriously love it its a good song... what are some other good oldie songs that you like??

I'm a sucker for the oldies. I find that a lot of music before the 1990s tended to involve more talent and a little less gimmick.

1980s: I don't care what anybody says, nobody is better than Stevie Wonder, Prince, Pat Benatar, and a couple of other bands and singers I can't think of right now. It's a shame I can barely remember the music of that decade (what with being born in 84 and all), but it's always good to look back at a band/artist and hear some of their old stuff.

1970s: I admit it! I like just about every song that came out of this decade, including disco! I have not heard one song from the 1970s that I didn't like. All of the music just seemed more fun (and in some cases, more serious) in the 70s. Oh yeah...

1960s: Like, groovy, man. Alas, the only stuff I like out of the 60s are Beatles, Monkees, and the hippie-rockers of Woodstock. I place the blame on those Austin Powers movies. Ever since I saw the first Austin Powers film, I've been interested in the music of the late 60s. Joplin, Santana, Hendrix, and all those musicians were wrote their songs while on LSD. I'm not into drugs, but their music is great is you listen to it while upside-down. :excited:
