LostProphet
I've been looking forward to this for a while....it's got some good artists (i.e. Linkin Park), and then some I don't care to hear their whining (i.e. Marilyn Manson). It looks good overall....here's the list of songs from the first CD (it's a 2-CD pack, the second is orchestral score): 01 Session - Linkin Park 02 This Is The New S**t - Marilyn Manson 03 Reload (Time To Die) - Rob Zombie 04 Furious Angels - Rob Dougan (instrumental) 05 Lucky You - Deftones 06 The Passportal - Team Sleep 07 Sleeping Awake - P.O.D. 08 Bruises - Unloco 09 Calm Like A Bomb - Rage Against The Machine 10 Dread Rock - Oakenfold 11 Zion - Fluke 12 When The World Ends - Dave Matthews (Oakenfold remix) What do you all think? Angelus
I am thinking that I hate the first cd and I will love the second cd the only songs on the first disk I will like would be Calm Like A Bomb - Rage Against The Machine Dread Rock - Oakenfold and probably This Is The New S**t - Marilyn Manson Zion - Fluke The Passportal - Team Sleep Bruises - Unloco but over all I think the soundtrack wont be as good as the first movies soundtrack
Transtic Nerve
The second CD is basically BGM, Background Music. The music you hear when they are fighting and whatnot. I really enjoy the second CD. The first one has it's good songs. Session, Ready for the new Sh*t, Reload, Sleeping Awake, Dread Lock and Zion were all good. I liked Furious Angels but it sounded too much like Rob D.'s other song he did for the original Matrix. It almost sounded the same in many ways. It's a good album, Revolutions will be better. Flash
Hell, I really wanna get the 2nd CD... The BGM of Movies is my favourite part (score wise). What was that music playing during Neo's brawl with the multiple Agent Smiths? That rocked... Techno with the Choral sections.
Epitome
I wouldn't mind having the second C.D. but the first wasnt that great so I dont know what to expect of the songs and hey Angelus, you shouldnt double post because some mods will get so pissed at you for that and close the thread. Guest cloricus
Flash I believe that was the theme song, it was leaked awhile ago under the name "Enigma - Matrix II" and it rules. Though it sounds a bit different to the one in the fight scene. They must have changed some bits, or in fact a lot different now that I'm listening to it. But you can hear parts that were used. I think this sound track should be okay, I'm not one for movie sound tracks. Eps - Enter...
Genkai
The soundtrack was okay, but it wasn't good for the movie. They put it in all the wrong spots and it really ruined some scenes.
Semjaza
Being apparently the biggest Manson fan here, I even don't understand the choice of This Is the New ****. It's not a bad song, but it's one of the weaker on Golden Age of the Grotesque and definately does not fit the movie from what I know of it. There are tracks on that disc which would have been far more fitting. But whatever.

I didn't hear any songs that I thought sounded too great until the Linkin Park one during the credis, and I already own that CD. I guess I won't be getting that album. ;)
James
On the contrary; I think that most of the music in Reloaded was wholly appropriate. There was seemingly more electronic music in this movie than the last, which is a good thing (because firstly, it suits the theme of the movie and secondly, it's a higher quality of electronic music than was in the first movie). I was quite happy with the mix. A good mix of various genres - and most of it was quite appropriate for the theme and style of the movie. But anyway, you know the track that plays during the car chase scene? Does anyone know what that's called and who it's by? I want to sample a few tracks before I go out and buy the album. The first CD looks to have a very small selection of tracks, so I'm hoping that the second CD has some of the good long electronic tracks on it (the BGM, as has been said here). Any info on that would be appreciated.
Pyrophobic
Well, I think the whole 2 CD compilation choice was well-founded: it was so irritating buying the Don Davis soundtrack and the 'song' soundtrack separately. I personally think I'll prefer the second CD by far, but the techno music generally provides good background while you're busy on something else. I haven't been able to see the film yet, but I'm disappointed to hear that there won't be as nice a flow from Don Davis to Rage Against the Machine as there was at the conclusion of the first film. I'm not too keen on Linkin Park - something about twelve year old boys with greasy hair moshing near the stage appears to have turned me off. Generally I enjoy all film soundtracks as long as there's something happening in them, and what I've heard of the particular tracks chosen seems okay. I trust there's not much variation from the style Davis adopted in composing music for the first film?
Kaola Su
I think I am going to download that whole CD. Can you give me the names of the second CD's songs also? KS

I'm not sure if they included much from the second CD and I'm presuming these excerpts are considerably briefer than the songs as they emerge on the CDs. Hey, I don't have any speakers on my unit any more, so I can't check it out myself. Simply go to: http://intothematrixmusic.com and see what you can find in the "Listen" section. OlgaTheDwarf
I really liked pretty much all the techno/backround music in this movie, I think they did a good job with it. But, the only thing that I would enjoy about the band music on the soundtrack would probablly be POD's "Sleeping Awake". No, it's not because I'm a POD fan (for the most part I can't stand rapcore), but rather because It is their first recording with their new guitarist. It's not just any guitarist, no, it's the great JASON TRUBY *AWE*. I dout that many of you care but Jason Truby *awe* was a part of my boy's, thew legendary, LIVING SACRIFICE *AWWWE* (1989-2003). May there legacy live on long beyond the fourteen years they were a band. Now that I've gone completely of topic I will leave, goodbye.

NorykoAngelcry
The CD is great. I enjoy listening to the first CD while driving down the road, and the second is great for kicking back after a day of work. . yes, I did feel like sharing that with everyone ^_^ After watching both movies as many times that I have, the one problem that I face is that I can't concentrate on any other thoughts besides the movie. Scenes keep playing over and over in my head, so if you have seen the movie a few times, and want to keep watching it away from the theater, get the CD =) lol, rock on! Angelus
yes, please if you are going to download the whole album then you might as well just buy it. When people download whole albums thats just not cool.
James
I agree. Don't download the entire album; it's really going a bit far. I just want to sample some of the tracks from disc 2, so that I'm sure I know what I'm getting. I remember buying the soundtrack to Go! a while back...and it had NONE of the tracks from the movie that I liked! It was ridiculous. But it sounds like the second disc has what I'm looking for. I'll go and look for it tomorrow, if I have the cash on me.
Shinken
Sounds good. I'll probably buy it, but most likely for the second disc (I LIKE TECHNO! SHOOT ME!). But at least the first disc has "Sleeping Awake". If I don't listen to that song at least once a day, then I'll go nuts. :D Hitokiri Battosai
ThePikasElbow
I can't really speak on it as a whole as I have only listened to the second disc. The score was pretty good with a lot of catchy tunes. And for those wondering... Song during the 100 agents fight- Burly Brawl Song during highway chase- Mona Lisa Overdrive The score consists of a odd mix of electronica, techno, and orchestra. Sounds weird, but it turned out well. Also, the disc has a lot of cool extras such as a preview for Reloaded, preview for Osiris, behind the scenes stuff on the Enter The Matrix game, and a nearly 5 minute preview of the Animatrix. James
Yep, I just bought this album and I give it my stamp of approval. ~_^ The first disc also has that song that they play during the rave scene. It's cool, especially if you've got a nice sub-woofer (it's a very bassy/vibrant track). The rest of the stuff you're probably familiar with. I found that the second CD has been my favourite so far, because I really like the instrumentals. I really like Mona Lisa Overdrive, because the full track contains a lot of different elements (from techno to almost complete orchestral). Overall, it's very good. And the bonus features only make it even more worthwhile. ^_^
Shinken
I bought the CD, and I'd have to say that it's DEFINITELY worth buying (hell, I'm listening to it now! I love Burly Brawl!) All I can say is BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT! *ahem* The first disc is really good, especially P.O.D's "Sleeping Awake" and (this surprised the hell out of me) Marilyn Manson's "This is the New Sh**" 0_o; The second disc also rocks (Brutal Brawl, Teahouse, and let's not forget Mona Lisa Overdrive). Unfortunately, the second disc is only seven songs. But it's forty minutes. So it all evens out. My score; 10/10 aka BUY IT!
