Blue truth: 48th time playing FF7?!?!?! What are you, fifty years old??? *shocked*

But I've come to think that FF7 really IS the best game I've ever played. Lately I've been missing it, since I traded it few years backwards. It's just something in it... Maybe it's the details, maybe it's the mood, maybe it's the story and characters, or perhaps all the zillion things to do in it. When all these are combined, nothing can beat that! Sure, some games may get even with it, but like in the school grades (in my country), there's no better than full 10! Well, except 10+, but to get that you just have to lick some major behind. ;)

LOL! I think that is also one of the best games ever because of the characters and the storyline as well, but games do match it my opinion. For example, FF X, and mainly I like that just as well because of the graphics and gamplay. But lets not get too far off topic.

FF7 was a great game it probably has the best story line of all the games. The graphics were ok but not the best otherwise this game is a good one.

FF7 is my favorite out of the series. I love the scope of the story. It's so broad and so well executed. Sephiroth is such a perfect villain. I'm glad he isn't designed like a maniacal Bondian king, like Kefka from VI. Though, Kefka wasn't disappointing; he just lacked the "edge" that Sephiroth had.
Sephiroth reminds me of a villain from 1940s cinema: suave, stylish, composed. He exudes an air of "deceptive tranquility," in that he presents himself as mature but then unleashes brutal hostility when the climax is reached. I compare him to Vincent Price in House On Haunted Hill.

I'm just here to comment on the thread name. I have to disagree with it. In my opinion, the Final Fantasy series peaked at part 3 (or 6, whichever's the one with Terra). I used to play RPGs, but then I got sick of them. All FF's are the same: if you've played one, you've played them all... I was about to lose all hope on RPGs until Suikoden II stepped in (never played the first one). Haha, that was a wonderfully fresh game! So, thanks to Suikoden II, I don't think RPGs in general suck, but I don't merit FF7 as great a game as its predecessor.

Again, I'm not an RPG gamer. I play the occassional RPG that sparks my interest enough, but that's it. You shouldn't say FF7 a game every person should play-instead, you should say its a game that RPG fanatics should experience.

FFVII was the first Final Fantasy I played, and introduced me to the RPG genre. Since then I am hooked on RPG's. Their great storylines, cool cast of characters and attacks, great lengths, I can't get enough.

I now own just about every FF game, but still think VII is the best. Mainly because of its memorable cast of characters (Cloud and Sephiroth rock!!!) and great music.

I've played the FF7 7 or 8 times now. The resone I play it is because of the way the game was made and the plots that never fade away from your mind. Other then that after playing the FF games it so many times I'd rather play T.M. or DBZ-22. Unlike the FF games they're under rated and that's what makes them great. People can't under stand them very well. But that still doesn't mean any thing FF7 with RPGers is one of the greatest of all time. :)

I've played it twice, and I can't say I've ever wanted to play it again. A really over hyped, poorly translated RPG. It totally killed my remaining interest in the FF games, although I did find FFX to be a step up. The others inbetween just dragged at too many spots and offered me little incentive to keep going.

I didn't know anything about Final Fantasy until i went to a shop and they showed FF7 to me as it had just gone platinum. I bought it and I absolutely fell inlove with it. I loved everything about it. The graphics were great in comparison to other games i had played at that point in time. I loved the storyline, it stunned me because i had never played a RPG before and as soon as i finished it i went out and bought FF8, and then FF9. Seeing as i have only played ff7, ff8 and ff9, i can't say that its the best ever FF game, but it surely is the best that i have ever played, by far!:D:D:D
