My friends are in trouble and there is nothing I cand do for them!

I just want to say to all of you who say that it is their own faults for it happening, go to hell. They are the victims, just b/c they went out and did something that most of us all have done once in our lives, doesn't mean they should be punished for that. Rape is a crime and the only person responsible is the rapist themselves.

Please, follow up on the sites that Millie gave you, and for the sake of your friends, tell their parents! It really shouldn't go to a counsilor. That should be the responsibility of the parent once they know it has happened. Also the police is another one that the friends or the parents must do. You can't prove any of it happened, but the other girls can and what if they freeze up when the cops come and they say nothing happened. Then it would go unnoticed. Please tell the parent or parents or these friends. This could be something far more serious than just rape, it could be diseases, like DarkOrderKnight said. They brough you into this story whether you wanted to have to deal with this or not, but now you have to make a choice. You really only have two options, to tell or not to.

I'm glad to see that some of you have some common sense and maturity about this topic.

Death Knight, I know what I say here probably won't faze you, but I think that what you said was really ******. Same to everyone who has that same frame of mind. A girl was raped, which is definitely a crime, and you're laughing it off and telling the thrid friend to not worry about it. bullsh*t. They should definitely worry about it.

Think about it, just the fact that they know about the rape involves them. I give the two girls props for having the courage to speak up about something like this, most people never do. You know why? Because they're afraid that it was in some way their fault, or that someone that they tell will in turn tell THEM that they asked for it, or that it was their fault.

Or that people will shrug it off and say "that's life".

I would definitely hope that no one would ever say those things if the same thing happened to me. That would suck; big time, and I would feel really helpless about what happened.

Babygirl does have a point, that if something bad happen to you, you wouldn't want people say that life or you asked for it. I know that they went with thoughs boy that are older (they should know better. But the main thing is even if they screwed up, don't shove it down throat. One thing is thy would be the worlds biggest fool if the didn't learn from their experiance. And learnig part of life and that how we get wiser. But in some respect thou that we should be more kind and learn from this ordeal. For one thing G.D. Ryoko
and ger friends did.

You know, 70% of all rape incidents are never reported or spoken of. That means that at least 70% of all people who do it are not learning their lesson. Just wait until they go to hell.

Definatly tell everyone about it. Even if it was because of stupidity many things, both great and bad, are done out of sheer ignorance.

Now that I look at the circumstances, this is actually a pretty rare case since most rapes are not for the joy of it. They are actually out of anger/jelousy/vengence for some reason, not just for the joy of it. Then again, there is always the fact that your friends may not be telling the truth. In my extension of family, there are several people who fit that song "She hates me" part of "No sign of guilt or feeling of bad." These people would have sex with an older man regardless of their age, and then out of fear of getting in trouble, would lie about it and say that they were raped. It is scary how people have no shame or pride now days.

*shrugs* If they actually willingly got in that car... I mean, I know I've done some stupid things, but the extent to that was getting trapped inside a refrigerator. They should tell the police, yeah, but if they willingly got in the car, the guys could get off by saying it was of their own free will. Dunno the details, so...

You have to tell someone. Don't just leave it, and let your friends get all the talk over it, while the people who commited the rape and crap that went on that night get away with it. If it was forced.. man, you can't just brush it off.

On the other hand, if they did it willingly.. well, it is on their behalf. They had an idea of what hey were doing. They could have had the sense to not go ahead with it and get into the car. Rape was still ivolved though, and that's a crime no matter what.

Just don't bing yourself down with it. It didn't happen just because you didn't go with them. **** happens. It just so happens that it happened on the night your friends went out.

I got more details today from the two idiots. At school they were all bragging telling some of their other friends and saying "don`t tell anyone."
They had lied about thier ages. I guess these boys were pretty dumb not to be able to tell they were 13.
At school, does who did know about what happend were teasing calling them names that I cannot repeat here.
The friend that had called me said that if they don`t stop telling that everyone is going to know and call them all kinds of "sluts".
Iknow this is a serious matter but I had to laugh when I saw one of them taking advil.
Probably if I was with them, this would of never had happened.

Man, it is starting to sound like more of the situation, not the blame, but more of the situation should be put on themselves. This is really sounding suspicious. To tell you the truth, no one who was raped would be bragging about it unless it

a. wasn't rape and they chose to do it themselves and are wanting to get the guys in some sort of trouble

or

b. they weren't raped and none of this even happened, it was all said for attention.

No one, and I mean no one would brag about that kind of situation. I am sorry but this really isn't adding up. I wouldn't believe too much else of what they say G.D. Ryoka. Maybe this isn't a situation which you should get involved in. Maybe if they were scared and crying and couldn't sleep b/c of the situation, but they are actually bragging about it. No one who is raped would take this as a joking matter. I thihnk they are lying about something. But more than likely if they do go around telling people that kind of stuff they will be called many many names. I would just leave it alone now. As much telling as they are apperently doing, they'll end up telling on themselves if it really happened.

That is weird. It's not making any sense, and I'm starting to wonder.

In any case, do NOT blame yourself, G.D.Ryoko. They made their choices, and those choices wouldn't have been much different if you had been there.

And, maybe you should reread what I posted. I didnt say not to worry about it, I wasnt laughing it off. I was *amused* not *laughing maniaclly at her sorrow* or anything like that.

I simply told her that she shouldnt be crawling to a message board like she's bloodied and battered, and with such a serious subject to ask for help from total strangers, that perhaps trying to trudge through this on her own would make her come out on top, become more wise for her age, help her progress into adulthood.

So instead, the masses cry and moan over another rapeing? Just because they are in selfdenial?

I dont want to give out pity to the undeserving. If something like this happened to you, I would care because I know you. But in general, to people I dont know, I dont give out freebies of love.

And I didnt shrug it off- reread my statement

If I shrugged it off, my dear Jenna, I wouldnt have posted in here period.

I offered a small bit of advice, with the thought of my mother- who was raped- in my mind, causeing me to mildly care. I knew there would be 100 other "i'm sorry" lines flooding this thread, so I let other people speak for me.
that if something bad happen to you, you wouldn't want people say that life or you asked for it.
I would ignore them if they said that.

Just like all the self-righteous zealots in this thread could have after takeing my post and trying to read between the lines when nothing was there.

In conclusion, let me expand and clarify what I was saying.

This is a part of life, this is what you will have to deal with in all your years upon this Earth. I am not throwing the statement "That's life" into your face, I am merely opening the door to reality- September 11th, was life. SARS, is life. Car accidents, Death, horror, terror, are all facets of modern day life. If you cannot take this expierence and grow from it then you are going to have problems with the rest of the world.

I am not saying that you should-

~not tell anyone
~not worry
~become cold-hearted
~hurt yourself, or anyone else

But that you should-

~deal with it positively
~expand your personality and wisdom with this
~learn to deal with pain, as it comes often.

To everyone that lost respect over an openminded post that didnt contain unreal amounts of sorrow and pity, I dont give half a damn. I'm not here to gain respect, i'm posting here to try to help her and not benefit any of your collective moral mindvats, or sense of respect twards me.

Keep yourself in high spirits, this pain that you feel, or worry, or any other sort of negetive emotion- its not going to last forever.

Trust me.

[edit]Added the 'not' which I, ironically, forgot in "I am not saying that you should-"[/edit]

In response to DeathKnight, I never considered you among the people I was accusing. But if that is the way you see it, so be it. I'm not here for your respect, but I still give you as much as a Mod deserves.

Don't think I haven't been pushed to being cold-hearted. I have been, and I got a hell of a lot of good/sound reasons to be. But it doesn't do anything constructive. I could build on this further, but I feel I would be, well, to be frankly honest, wasting my energy.

BlackDragon465, don't be petrified by this story. As long as you remember basic rules--don't take candy from strangers, accept rides home from people you don't know, etc etc blah blah blah--then you should be fine.

And sometimes, stuff happens. That's life. It's what you make of the situation that either makes you a "better" person--or just a person. I'm still just a person right now. "Better" is a bit ways away.

Aren't you spamming?

I was okay with your ending statement, about how you weren't saying you just shrugged it off. I also thought you somewhat did, so thank you for clearing that up, I really do appreciate that.

Oh, and no, I wasn't just directing that at you, and I know you didn't say I was just directing it at you, but just so you know I was directing to anyone who did have the same kind of attitude.

No, ::shakes head:: no. I get caught up in femenist moments like that, especially when it comes to crimes against women. I felt as though your post started the whole "not caring" attitude of a lot of the posts, so I quoted yours. I realize that I went off, so I will apologize for directing it toward you. I fully agree BabyGirl. I may not be a girl, but I'm sick and tired of damn perverts going out in the night and raping women. Many crimes like this (If not all) target women. People like this should be put behind bars. I know you don't want to be a snitch G.D. Ryoko. But if you don't say anything, and your friends don't say anything. Whats stopping thoughs sick perverts from doing it to other girls? I say you must snitch to keep these sickos off the street. I mean, if your friends got raped, you don't want that happening to other people. Though I am against school snitching and stuff, this is a whole new Ball Field. I mean, these guys are scot free after violating girls probably not EVEN IN HIGH SCHOOL. That is sick. That is really sick, and you must prevent it from happening again. I say you snitch, its just the right thing to do.

Look, if this did happen (rape) you need to tell someone now. It's already too late to proove anything cause after 72 hours there is no more DNA proof of rape, so you already lost that. You can still go on the 'he said, she said' tactic. Either way...

a) If it was rape, the kids that did it will get a scare of their life. If not jail time and a permanent record, sex offenders, etc etc.

b) If it didn't happen, then someone's gonna get in trouble. They'll learn a lesson

c) If the girls did actually say they wanted it, then it's not funny to lye about being raped. Rape is a serious issue and stupid kids don't need to be f-ing around with it. They should all be slapped multiple times for everything they've done so far. And you should to if you aren't going to do anything.

I decided to give up on them because they feel all grown now that they let it happened.I told them to tell their parents the truth but they don`t want to listen and I hate to be the deliever of bad news. If they want to go on living a lie and let themselves become worthless trash later on in life like my sister did after she was raped, then I should just let them.

I tried to help, I told them what to do but they do not want to listen. Sometimes I hate beng the kind caring friend.

That is not a good attitude at all.

*uck being the bearer of bad news. Your friends need help. They may feel grown up, but what happens when one of them comes down with a STD or if the intercourse rape victim becomes pregnant?

Tell their parents.

OMG. I'm really sorry. I was really surprised when I read this. I wish there was something I could do/something YOU could do without you getting in trouble. All you can do is hope for the best and wait for time to fix what has happened. The best thing you can try to do is forget about it, but I can imagine that that is a very hard thing to do.
