WHat you'll need:

1 GBA
1 GCN
1 link up between the 2
1 GC game
1 GBA game

THey have 4 swords for GC. You'll need a copy of LttP to play it, i think..........Or it'll at least be link-able (pun intended)

The new one is Tetra's Trackers. You have to find the stamps for her pirates,. She gives you maps on the TV, and you look for it on the GBA.

Actually, you don't need any GBA cartridge for these two games. Just a GBA and a GCN-GBA Link Cable, along with the GCN and game.

Personally, I'm really looking forward to Four Swords. I loved Four Swords on the GBA, and I can't wait to see what they'll do with a GCN version. I mean, they've got tons more room on a GCN disc than a GBA cartridge, so they have room for tons of dungeons. (Or if they go the same route as the original Four Swords, tons of dungeon pieces).

Also, the link features (yes, ha ha, you have no idea how many times I've heard that kind of pun) look really cool. Like when you go into a house or into a different room from the other Links, and your Link switches from the TV screen to the GBA screen. And there won't even be any changes in the graphics, it looks like, since they're using the A Link to the Past graphics on both the TV and GBA. (Though on the TV, the camera will zoom in and out to keep all four Links on the screen as long as they're in the same room).

As for Tetra's Trackers, I'm not really sure what to think about it yet. I keep thinking there's got to be more to the game than just the info that Nintendo put up on their E3 site, though. (The one I linked to). Otherwise it looks like it'd get boring pretty quickly, and it'd piss me off to no end if Nintendo made a bad Zelda game.

I'm kind of guessing it's going to be one of those games that you have to play for a while before you can tell whether or not you really like it, though. Kind of like Animal Crossing; I thought that looked like it'd get boring really, really quickly, but once I played it I got hooked and ended up playing every day for about three months. So yeah, like I said, I don't really know what to think yet.

One thing I'm really glad about, though, is that I didn't sell my original GBA right away when I got my GBA SP. I still have my original one, and I've decided to keep it because of these two games. Now if someone without a GBA were to come over, or if they didn't have their GBA with them, they'd still be able to play using my original one while I use the SP. I'll need to get another GCN-GBA Link Cable, but those are cheap. :)

I'm personally dissapointed with the fact theat they are 2 separate games. They could easily be in one disc, which would be much better for the pocket. Sadly, it doesn't matter, since I have no friends with GBA...

I don't get the whole link-up thing with the GBA. It doesn't really appeal to me at all. I want to play games with good graphicson my GCN, not stuff that looks like super nintendo. If they could make these games with some nice 3D graphics, then I'd think more of it.

Merged this with the Four Swords/Tetra's Trackers thread. :)

As for your question, yes, you will need to use GBAs. You'll need a GCN, the game, and a GBA with a GCN-GBA Link Cable for each player. Having the separate screen on the GBA is very important to the game, so using a GCN controller to play just wouldn't work.

Lol, thanks for clearing that up for me, but I ment for my question to be a whole new thread. Meh, well I'll probably get the hang of it after experimenting with things.
Well, it's just easier and less cluttersome if all the discussion about a game is kept to one thread. (Gameplay help threads should be separate, though). Like, if someone else has the same question as you, they would just be able to look in this one thread for the answer instead of having to hunt through a few different threads.

I don't know; I don't think it's been said yet whether there's a one player mode or not. In the GBA Four Swords game it was only multi-player, but there you also had A Link to the Past to play by yourself. So I hope they add some sort of one player mode to the GCN version.
