I watch alot of TV because its near my computer.

Usually its just on as background noise during games, hardly anything is really that captivating to keep me occupied- unless its like the HIstory channel or something, those Documentaries literally suck me in.

I'm gonna say 3.5-4 since I leave it on from like 1-3 as background noise while I write or game.

so I guess I watch alot more than I should.

Only times I watch T.V is when the Cosby Show is on at 11. That is only like an hour a day or something, lol. T.V just doesnt pull me in nay more. I used to watch the History channel a lot, but for some reason I just dont any more.

The only reason I really watch is for the anime and movies. The only main times I watch are late at night when lots of anime is on and when Toonam is on. Sometimes I watch HBO and Cinemax to watch some good movies, but mainly I only watch anime.

I had bought a new HDTV a while back for my room... Mostly for games and movies. However, I could never get the reception right and I couldn't watch my favorite TV shows: Simpsons, Futurama and so on.

So basically, other than a few episodes here or there (I'd say max, 3 a week) I have not watched TV shows. And the funny thing is, I don't miss them at all.

I mostly only keep up with YuYu Hakusho, but now that they've started the episodes over, I doubt I'm gonna be watching Toonami anymore. plus I'll sometimes watch a little bit of either the Cosby Show or some MTV or VH1, depending on what's on. so I'd say I watch about an hour to an hour and a half's worth everyday.

time spent on the computer, on the other hand, can be doubled/tripled, so I'm not that well off after all >.>'

I watch about 3-5 hours of TV about every weekday, mostly because I'm bored. I'm trying to cut back and be more active, though.

For the rest of my free time I focus on creating stories and drawing characters. I also spend alot of time here at Otakuboards.

I probably watch about five hours of television a week--and four of them are dedicated to wrestling.

The other hour is usually allotted to channel surfing in between meals or when I'm getting dressed. I probably use my television more for gaming purposes than I do for viewing purposes.

Personally, I believe that television is fun, but, like anything else, it can become a big distraction and unhealthy when abused. Parents should definitely encourage their children to read and participate in sports activities. Children raised by sitcoms and reality shows can potentially become isolated and less social, otherwise.

Who you callin' isolated and less social? :p

I was pretty much raised by TV. Yes, I know, it's sad. I stay up at unholy hours of the night watching TV. I wake up watching TV and go to sleep watching TV. Yes, I even go to bed at night with the TV on. If I didn't have school and I wasn't hunting for a job, and if there was anything decent on TV on the weekends, I'd probably never stop watching it.

On a slightly strange note, I push myself into reading. Every couple of days, I head on down to Borders and read a little. These days, I'm reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Speaking of, isn't there a movie version somewhere out there I can watch on TV?

Hmmph. I used to be hooked to TV, but now I rarely watch TV. Pretty much the only thing I watch is CSI with the family, and that's all. Not much good stuff on TV to watch anymore . . . O_o;; All of it's reality shows and other mindless junk like that . . .

*shrug* Ah well. Not really like I mind or anything. I've got other things to do that take up the time. ^_^

I never watch TV, except for late at night when I'm trying to sleep. Even then, I usually am writing when it's late at night like that. I guess I'm a night person.

But no. I'd say I watch even less than an hour of TV in an entire week.

4-5 hours everyday, it's often above 5 hours though ^^;;. I'm really bad at that, eek. Mostly I leave it on for background noise and when I go to sleep, but I watch alot more than I should..

..Bad bad Weh. u_u;

Anyways, I barely watch TV at all. Nothing good is on anymore, and TV doesn't do you any good anyways.
I watch TV way too much for my own good. There are so many shows I love, and they are on all the time.

Futurama, Simspons, History Channel things (especially Histories mysteries), stuff about animals (particularly bugs) on the Discovery channel, Daria, Family Guy, South Park, That 70's Show, and the list goes on.

I can't describe how easily I get pulled into a show. I can just walk by a TV, and then I'll plop down and watch something.
