Hollywood Homicide

I just saw a commercial for a new movie called Hollywood Homicide. Its with Harrison Ford and Josh Hartnett, but its like a comedy/action movie. It looked pretty funny from the commercials, has anyone else heard of this movie.

*waves hands in the air* I HAVE! I want to see it definitely. It looks so funny, yet, I don't mind the action. I saw it right after I found out [spoiler]Rueben[/spoiler] won American Idol. It was only the commercial, but it got me hooked. ^_^;

Yea same, I saw it right after American Idol too. It looks pretty funny but I dont like the fact that Josh Hartnett is in it.

Yes, it does seem kind of...different with him in it...? It's just weird... But, he does bring a new sense of "funny" to the movie. So, I believe it'll still be good, and funny, even with him in it. 'Cause, the Preppy, poppy, jocky Hartnett, just isn't the type of person for this role...but it works.

I know, it would have benn funnier if they put like Chris Rock, or someone else that is usually in a comdic movie. I think that it might have been a better show, even though I havent seen it, if they put more of a comedian in it.

Putting a comedian in a movie such as this makes it nearly impossible to take them seriously during important parts in a movie. Some actors can pull it off, like Robin Williams in One Hour Photo or Insomnia...

But, for example, I can't take Jim Carrey seriously in anything. I'm half expecting him to make a stupid face or dance around, even if they were standing over some brutally beaten corpse. Same with Chris Rock. That and he can be horribly annoying to listen to for 2 hours.

So, I think it's sometimes in the best interests of people involved to put someone you normally wouldn't expect in these roles anyway. And besides, from the sounds of this, it sounds more like a twisted humor movie than a straight out comedy.

Hmm, very good point. Ooh, Jim Carrey when he did The Majestic. THat movie was just NOT for him at all. You can't expect him to be serious at all.

Now that I think about it. I agree with Semjaza. A serious, yet, comedian-esque actor is the best to play parts such as these.

It doesnt look like an all out comedy which I like...And most of the jokes they showed where pretty good.

I may wait and read some reviews to make sure the previews arent misleading me...But since ol' harrisons in it ill probably watch it :D [/color][/font]
