Project Gray-Phase is the first of it's kind to implement the use of the ESPM (Extra Sensory Perceptual Module). The ESPM is a sphere of electricity. When impanted into a certain part of the brain the module will activate certain inert segments of the lobe. The activation results in the manifestation of powers in the subject (see below for a fully documented list). The powers range in strength from very weak to destructive.

The first experiments were failures. The subject died due to massive brain swelling and hemorraging. Included in the ESPM is a small data storage device. It records how often the person taps into the module for power before the lobe segments can function on their own. This data is crucial for the creation of better modules.

The time is now over twenty years after the first tests were run. There are exactly 746 people walking the streets with ESPM's in their brains. Most don't know that they have the module. Their abilities are far too insignificant to play any large role.

You are among the few that have a very high level of mental abilities. Some of you have chosen to ignore your abilities. Pretending they are not even there. Others imbrace them, and use them. Recently, some of the Gray-Phase subjects have been mysteriously dissapearing. There have been witnesses that have seen them simply 'pop out', to quote one individual. You need to know what these dissapearences are, for they have all happened to subjects with very strong abilities, like you. The first step is to find a man named Tjaden (Jay?Den). Good luck.

Firstly, I will be choosing who get's into this RPG by quality of signup.
Second, each ability does not have to be chosen and there can be more than one person with the same ability.
Thirdish, the people that have the ESPM's were captured and operated on. I will allow one volunteer, but make it CLEAR in your Bio that you volunteered. It's on a first come first serve basis so whoever gets it first, gets it. The rest will have to be captured in their Bio's.
Last, do not post here with a signup that is less than twohundred words. If you do, you will be automatically denied.

Description: Khalith is about six foot one, and very slender. His skin is predominately dead white, legacy of his dislike of sunlight. His hair is raven black, and falls just past his shoulders, normally worn free. He tends to grey his face, and blacken his lips and eye hollows. With make up like this of course, he could only dress in long black clothing. Black cotton jeans, and a black long sleeved shirt that is laced at the front (that's what the pic is showing, ignore the rest of the person in it as that's not what he actually looks like, sorry KOTR). Doesn't affect a trenchcoat or any other such inhibiting absurdity. Wears black combat boots, the only real link he has to his past. That, and his physique. Despite his almost abnormal slenderness and low bodyweight, he's basically muscled like an alley cat, and in certain situations he's reacted in ways that really, really surprise him. Normally exotic violent ways...
Bio: Well, Khalith, formerly Yuri Beshalov, was indeed a volunteer, and in fact a pioneer, for the treatment. Unfortuantely for him, and apparently even more unfortunately for the project, he was a failure, like all the early attempts. Khalith however had one advantage, he didn't die horribly. That is an advantage isn't it? Anyway, Khalith instead merely lost his memory, complete amnesia. The people running the project, his old bosses, weren't really concerned with that, what was annoying them was that when Khalith's memory decided to run off, crawl into a hole, pull the dirt over itself and die, it took the data on the chip with it. No one could work out why, so they kept him locked up and studied him for a year or so. Eventually, they realised they had found slightly less than nothing. Slightly less than, because when they showed up one day, they didn't find Khalith. They did find a few dead, somewhat surprised looking people though.

Since then, Khalith, atypically completely unconcered with his old life and probable personality, has reconstructed an existence for himself, one based on what he wants to do, whenever the hell he wants to do it, regardless of whoever else doesn't want him to do it. One of his favourite mottos is "I am a firm believer in my right to do anything I cannot be stopped from doing".

She?s a very independent person, and gets annoyed when people, especially men, try to help her with anything.
She wears mostly mock army clothes, and her favourite outfit is a cream military-style shirt with a black tie, matching gloves and a red skirt.
She is a very emotional young woman with a hot temper, and tends to lose her logical mind very easily.
[b]Bio[/b] - She teaches drama in high schools, and she loves her work. This can cause her to sometimes be a little patronising. She was never really incredibly intelligent, but she always made up for it in her creative studies such as literature, arts, music, and acting. One day after her last class had left the room, Megan was watching footage of a dramatic performace examination her 9th Grade class had taken that day. As she sat grading each student?s performance, she heard a noise in her store cupboard. She went to see what is was, and the next thing she remembered was waking up on the floor of her classroom later that night. Assuming that she hit her head on something, she used her Teacher?s Key to leave the school and walk home.
About a week later Megan was taking an 8th Grade class, and they were studying ?Juno and the Paycock?. Juno?s last speech always got to her emotionally, but obviously she had to contain herself in front of the class. About half way through the speech, she raised her hand to stop the girl reading in order to comment on the quality of the reading, but a fireball flew from her hand and burned away the linoleum. Frightened, the class told the Principal what had happened, and she resigned. Ever since she?s been nervous and shy, and tries not to get too emotional, for fear that she might ?Make Fire? again.
One teacher who had also taught at the school disappeared without a trace. A note was left on her desk:

Bio: Miru was abused as a child. Her parents we drunkies. She has had her ESPM ever since she was 16. The ESPM technicly saved her life. Because when she was 16 her house caught fire and she was badly burnned. With skin graphing her body was recreated. But her hands could not be repared. That is the reason she wears gloves. Miru has grown up all alone ever since that day....

[b]Description[/b]: Harley is a rather small person. He is 5'10 and has an atheletic build. He weighs 163 pounds. He has a martial artist's build. He has 3 inch spiked hair from which he dyes ocassionally. The tips of his hair are jet black. (Dyed) His eyes almost seem silver. They are really icy blue, but many people refer to them as silver. He wears a white shirt with a tiger on the back. He wears black slacks, and has plain black shoes. He has a tatoo on the front side of his left shoulder. The tatoo is a symbol, but not even Harley knows what it is. He also has a necklace. On the necklace has the word "Aurora." His one time fianee.

[b]Bio[/b]: Harley studied at a dojo to learn martial arts. While sparring one of his peers he broke his leg in an attempt to do a move. Un-known to him the sensai had made a deal with the contraversial staff producing ESPM. They paid him money in return for one of his students. When Harley broke his leg they found this to be the perfect situation. The sensai pretended to call the hospital, but instead called the lead doctor. He sent an "ambulance" over and loaded Harley into the ambulance. Harley was immediatly sedated so he wouldn't remember a thing. They implanted the ESPM with out any problems. After doing so they set his leg.

When Harley awoke the next morning he was in a hospital strapped to an IV and had his leg elevated. They told him that an infection had occured while they were fixing his leg, and that they had to monitor him to make sure he was ok. He stayed in the hospital for two more days and showed no irregular signs.

Harley was then kicked out of the dojo after they discovered his new power. He couldn't control it at first and ended up injuring his own sensai. The sensai's students threw him out and he wondered around looking for a new job.

For years he joined an under ground tournement where he fought for money. He won several of the tournements. During his spare time he trained his body and mind, also training his new power. He would train it every day and learned to control it with ease. He soon became wondering the country looking for more people like him. Everywhere he went strange people followed. Many would follow him for weeks then disappear. He didn't understand what was happening. He had to find out.

One day while searching around he met someone, like him. It was a girl. The two become close and soon Harley proposed to her. She accepted and they moved in with ear other. On the day before their wedding she disappeared without warning and without a trace. The day before that she had mention a name...Tjaden.

From then on Harley dedicated his life to search for this mysteriouse man, and get the answers he was looking for.

He wears whatever he happens to find on his floor that day, so it can be anything from a torn shirt to a pair of suit pants. His body is thin but muscular. You could call him wirey.

[b]Bio-[/b] Ryan had the ESPM installed when he was thirteen. He was captured off the streets and quickly sedated. They dragged him into the room and locked him into the operation table. Anestisia was pumped into his blood stream and his skull was slowly peeled away.
The module was inserted into his frontal lobe. The electricity immediately began flowing into the unconnected nervendings. The dumped his operation-weakened body right where they had gotten it from. He was rushed to the hospital by his parents when they found him.
The X-Rays revealed the module, but the doctors said it was completely out of the question to try and take out. Besides, they said it didn't seem to be harming anything. Around his eighteenth birthday his powers presented themselves for the first time. He willed his parents to rent him a house out of their own pockets. To his surprise, it worked.
For almost an entrie year, he did nothing but make people give him things and do serivces for him. He then met a girl. In blind teenage lust he forced her into bed with his powers. She charged him with rape and the case was sent to the states highest court. He used his powers to force the jury to find him innocent.
He left the courtroom with his head hung low. Ryan swore to only use his powers when he must, and to use them sparingly. He is now thirtyone years old. He works at a local lawncare company and makes a little less than thirty thousand a year.
Recently, he met someone with an ability like his. She could read peoples minds. He loved her. But their love wasn't meant to last. She left after almost six months. Before she left, she was speaking of a program that they were a part of. Something called Gray Boy or Gray Daze. It had something to do with their powers and a man named Tjaden.

Description-[/B] Rurori is around 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has shoulder-length black hair with the tips dyed ice blue. His eyes are a dark, murky blue. He is cleanly shaven with no hair whatsoever on his face. Under his right eye he has Shikaku tattooed in Japanese, while under his left eye he has Kitoku in Japanese. Roughly translated, it means Assassin On The Verge Of Death. He wears all dark, smoky grey clothing that consists of a gi, a cloth belt, and a cotton vest. He also has half-face mask made out of silk. He wears traditional Japanese sandals with grey tape wrapped around his feet and ankles.
[B]Bio-[/B] Rurori was the son of a rich merchant family. They had moved to Japan for better business when his mother and father were killed on a pleasure cruise. He became an orphan at the age of 4. He spent 2 years in an orphanage, until one day, he decided to run away, and fend for himself. While living on the streets, he tried pick pocketing a suspicious looking man. Unbeknownst to him, the man was a top assassin in a Clan. The man grabbed Ruroris? hand and led him into an alley. The man asked Rurori all sorts of questions. Rurori told him his whole story. The man, named Kokushibyou Ippai, brought him to the Clan and took him in as his own. For years, Ippai son taught him everything he knew until Rurori excelled farther than expected. Rurori, realizing this, talked to his master about it. Ippai son told him only this ?You are now the Shikaku Kitoku, the assassin on the verge of death.? After his master said that, he killed himself. Rurori went insane with grief. Taking his belated masters clothing, and weaponry, he hired himself out, denouncing his adopted clan. When he was 20, he was beaten, by one man, although he still does not know it, it was Tjaden. When the ESPM was put into his brain, he escaped from the laboratory and went back to Japan. Realizing he had nothing there, he travels from country to country, hiring himself out as an assassin. He has had extreme anger ever since his master died, and it does not help him any, for he will unknowingly tap into his ESPM, and do irrational actions. In Great Britain he is known as, The Burner. In the U.S., as the Pyro-technician. In Japan, he is known as 2 things, one, as the Shikaku Kitoku, but only a select few knows him as that. And the other, by the main population, he is known as the Feral Dragon.

Description-She has reddish-brown, waist-length hair that is always getting in her way. She has sandy-brown eyes, but they're covered up by amber-colored contacts. She usually wears a tight black tanktop, dark blue jeans, one spike bracelet on each wrist, and a black, leather chocker with a silver dragon pendant. A serious dancer and artist.

Bio- Josmi was taken to have the ESPM implanted when she was only six. She had been practicing her dance routine for an upcoming recital alone. She felt something hit her neck, but when she tried to feel for what it was, it felt like there was nothing there. It was actually a sedative. She slowly grew tired and finally she passed out. Then she was taken away to have the ESPM implanted.
When she woke up, she was on the studio floor. She figured that she had just tired herself out and had fallen asleep. She picked up her bag and left for home.
Nine years later, her powers were first revealed. She was walking home from school when she was approached by a group of seniors. They began to pick on her and pushing her around. When one of them pushed her too the ground, she put on her serious face and yelled, "You stop or I'll sic my demon dogs on you!" She knew it was lame, but it was all she could think of. They laughed and one of them teased, "Ooh! I'm scared! And I bet you're gonna send a horde of bats on us too!" Josmi felt a tingle of electricity run through her and suddenly three dogs, each enourmous and fierce, appeared and attacked the seniors. Then, a cloud of bats came flying out from the tunnel behind her.
Terrified, the poor fifteen year old fled the scene. As soon as she left, the dogs and bats disappeared. Meanwhile at her house, she locked herself in her room not accepting food or drink from her parents. Three days later, she emerged, dehydrated and hungry, but still alive. After eating, she called her friend who had talked of having an experience like hers, Velise, and talked to her about the incident. She heard her mutter something...'Tjaden' was what she heard. When she asked what said, Velise answered, "Oh it's no-" Velise cut short. "Velise? Velise? Are you there?" Josmi decided that the phone battery had run out. But the next day at school, Josmi learned that Velise had disappeared.
Ever since the incedent with the seniors and Velise's dissapearence, Josmi hardly said a word to anyone. The most she usually did is nod or shake her head. A smile was the rarest thing to come from Josmi. At eighteen, she moved to a small house, alone in the mountains That was until the "second accident" as she calls it. One day while painting, she thought to herself, "Sometimes, I wish my paintings could really...come to life..." Suddenly, the crane she had recently finished painting, peeled itself from the canvas and became three-dimensional. It looked at her and flew across the room to her. Though she was surprised, she reached out and touched it. It was solid! She tried it on a few other paintings. The effect was the same. Soon her house was filled with exotic animals of all shapes and sizes. She became fascinated with her powers and embraced them.
But in the back of her mind, she always remembered what happened to Velise. She remembered the name she had uttered before her dissapearance..."Tjaden"...She decided to find this Tjaden and make him pay for what he had done to Velise.

[b]Bio-[/b]Sakura had the ESPM implanted when she was about 5 years old.It was implanted when she was lost in a supermarket.A man came up to her and gave her a 'lolly' or so she thought.It was really a sleeping pill.Then they implanted the ESPM.when she woke up her mother was carrying her.She thought that all that had happened was she got lost,fell asleep and a shop person found her and brought her to her mother.But she was wrong and didn't find out until many years later.She found out in a strange way.It just popped out from no where and she didn't know what was happening.

I came when she was eating dinner one evening and her mother told her to eat vegetables.The food she hated the most.They had a fight and suddenly her mother stopped trying to feed her vegetables.Then Sakura realised that was what she was trying to will her mother into doing.Then her father tried.Sakura willed him down too.She made him eat all the vegetables off the large platter.Sakura laughed a bit and then she decided to leave.She willed her parents to give her lots of money so she could rent a house to live in.It worked and she ran to her room to gather her things.She brought all her most treasured possessions and set out.She didn't know what was happening but it was beginning to become kind of fun.

On her way she saw a dog.It came up to her.Sakura wanted to see if she could control her powers on animals.She concentrated at first nothing happened then after a while the dog started to do somersaults.Exactly what she was willing.She tried a few more and got some but it would be harder for a human because their brains are not as simple as a dog's.She found a place and rented it out staying there for a mean time.

Then she found out about a thing called the Gray-Phase.And some man with a weird name was making some weird devices to make people have special powers.She also discovered that she is part of it.She had something called Invade where you can make people do things they don't want to do.The man was named Tjaden.She decided to set out and find him to get more answers.
