It will be open through June 3rd, and after that, the judges and I (the judges are Queen Asuka, Digital Monster, Zeh and myself) will vote and come up with first, second, third places and honorable mentions. The rules are the following: 1. Must have something to do with Otaku Boards. You can have members of other shows/animes on it, but it has to have a Otaku Boards theme. 2. Size of banner must be 500x100, the standard size of OB. 3. All entries must be in as of June 20th, 2003. 4. The other categories, which are not overall, will be: Best graphics Best design Most imaginative Most Admired (Each judge will post their choices for these four categories) Anyone, except the judges, is allowed to join! Just wondering cause the current OB Banner is 607 x 112 pixels and I didn't want to get confused - or do anything wrong, so I'm just double checking. ^_^ [COLOR=darkred]EDIT: Addition to question: I'm assuming the answer to this will be yes, but it wasnt in your rules so I am asking. ^_^ But do the links (Profile, Guru,..) have to be in the pic too - (not working of course..) I made three, and these two didn't win, so I see no harm in entering these into the contest. Maybe I can make some more in the future; we'll see. I dont think Vash goes with the light blue background very well. A darker blue or even black background would be cool. Or even white. But the bottom one, is great the way itis. Those are great Syk. I'm really liking your style's Dark Death, i loved the other banners you made outside this contest, and i'm loving the one in this too. The only thing i don't like is the kinda 'wavy' border around it, but i can't think of any other kind too put there. Maybe cut the corner out, so it doesn't look like it's so square. Shapes always catch my eyes, like on both of Syk's, the vash one where the picture goes off the bottom border, along with the text, and the cut corner in his other. Nomad, you know i adore all the banners you make. This banner, is hardly an exception, because i love the look of that character. Character selection is a big thing for me, when making banners and such, even in my banner now, i had to have a character to go with it. The only problem here, is the second image. The backround pic is absolutely wonderful... everything about it rules. The other pic, well, it's nice, but something looks wrong with it. In main banners, atleast for me, i don't want one thing to catch my eye, i want to take it all in, like with our liquid banner. Hate the character, but it almost looks ok the way it blends in. But if you got rid of the character, the issue of colors would come up. Maybe a picture of him, a bit darker? Syk, do i need to comment? Your banner is OB's version 6 banner. If you want to know that, just ask someone by IM or PM or whatever you want to, just please don't use this thread OK? BTW, Syk3, the Vash banner doesn't look that good because of the background color... Try to use a faint yellow or red maybe, or just white... Other than that it is good. And the bottom one is very good, nothing wrong about it. Nomad: your banner looks very nice, but the box on the right seems somehow weird...
