The gaming world is at war. The game villains of yesterday have long since been defeated, but their legacy continues. Games have continued to get more and more violent, causing a backlash from the older and more innocent characters. The heyday of Pacman and Sonic has passed, giving way to Sephiroth and Solid Snake. These new characters are cruel, violent, and bloodthirsty. Classic gaming characters are tired of the M- Rated slaughter that has spread across the land, and a last-dtich effort is being planned in the Mushroom Kingdom to stop it. This battle will decide the fate of video games for decades to come, and it begins now.

There are two sides to this battle. The Classics, 8-bit defenders of morality and The Next-Gens, high-resolution killers who have invaded the mainstream. However, there is not strong unity within the groups, and many characters have organized their own third-party militias. Not every new character is fighting for the side of evil, and not every classic character wants to help their friend's cause. Many gaming villains are using this war to wipe out their enemies once and for all.

Any video game character is available, but the players for the rpg will be decided upon by the quality of their sign-ups, not by previous rpg-ing experience.

[b]Character name:[/b] Kirby (the cute pink balloon-critter from Kirby's Adventure, Nintendo)

[b]Reason for choosing character:[/b] Well, I really loved the Kirby-game when I was younger, I played it through several times. Now that I think of it, the gameplay was something very original -far from a normal level-jumping game. Plus, Kirby is way cute. :smooch: I'll try to dig up a pic of him...

[b]My Knowledge of this character:[/b] Kirby has the unique ability to swallow the enemies, thus gaining their powers/weapons and use them against the other enemies. He can also spit the eaten enemies against the other enemies, and fill himself with air to float through an entire level without once touching the ground. :D He lives in a colourful land filled with candy-bars, airballoons and magic castles, and his archvillain is a nasty duck-wizard (whose name I don't remember). Well, that was all the most important ones...

[b]Reason for choosing Character:[/b] I am a hardcore fan of Sonic. I've known about this blue wonder since I was 4. He would be a great addition to the war on the classics side, that is, if he can get along with his rival, Mario.

[b]Knowledge of the Character:[/b] I know almost everything about Sonic, here's a sample: The 15 year old blue fast hedgehog has been in games since 1990. Was orignally gonna be a Squirrel, but they changed the idea to hedgehog. His goal, to save all of his little critter friends from the hands of Eggman, who was using them as cores for his robot army to take over the world. Eventually, the race to save the world grew to a new height, when Eggman started after the Chaos emeralds and turned their protector Knuckles against Sonic. Soon enough, the 14 year old Echidna joined Sonic to defeat Eggman. [b]Reason For Choosing Character:[/b] I love Parasite Eve. It is one of my favorite RPGs I have ever played. The game is just a great ride, and I don't know what it is about it, but everything about this game I loved. And once you beat it, then there's even more stuff to be done that I still haven't even done. You have to go to this building with like 60 and more floors.

Plus Aya Brea is just very attractive, I love her guns she carries throughout the game, it makes her even more sexy. She's probably my favorite female character [i]ever[/i].

[b]My Knowledge of This Character:[/b] I'd like to say I know her pretty well. I mean, I played through Parasite Eve like almost six times already, and I am again. I just love the game. As for Aya, I'd like to say I know her pretty well perhaps. Her character isn't exactly excellently illustrated or anything, but she's going to be changed by my perception of her anyways.

There is a Parasite Eve 2, I hope to play it sometime. But it's definitely not as good as Parasite Eve.

[b]Reason for Choosing this Character:[/b] [i]Johnny Cage has a really flamboyant personality. I could use that to my advantage and exploit both his charisma and arrogance to make a certifiably annoying bad boy.

Just think about it. Johnny Cage, a part of the original Mortal Kombat roster, is largely responsible for establishing violence in gaming. He has punched his opponents' heads off, kicked a hole through their chests, and ripped his fair share of torsos off.

He's one bad man and a very underrated one at that. Johnny has long fought for Earth's special forces, so his betrayal of the righteous would be shocking, indeed.

Also, he's one of the many game characters to abandon their classic sprite heritage to adopt the more realistic 3D polygon graphics.[/i]

Yes, even the lousy sequel where he dies. So, I know my Cage. I mean, Mortal Kombat is the franchise where you can literally know the characters from the inside-out.[/i]

[b]Reason for choosing character:[/b] Well, besides the fact that I myself am a vampire, Kain is my roll model. The coolest vampire in history. Kain cannot be classified as good, or evil. The simple truth is that Kain does what he does for himself, and only himself. Kain may save humanity, making him seem like he'd be a good guy, but in reality he's saving his servants so that they can satisfy his blood lust at a later date. A neutral in reality, waiting to choose the most benefiting path to himself.

[b]My Knowledge of this character:[/b] Well, I have, in fact, owned three Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain's since my other two were practically stolen. I have played and beat Blood Omen about three times, then I bought Blood Omen 2. I beat that a few times as well. I have played Soul Reaver, and seen practically the whole thing. The only one I have not played is Soul Reaver 2. But I know a pretty good amount about Kain.

[b]Reason for Choosing Character:[/b] Yeah, yeah, I know; I didn't choose Link. Well, this time I decided to go with a different character because Link gets a bit old after playing him in every RPG that's he's available for play in. Any character would after a while.

But anyway, I decided to choose Samus because, outside of the Zelda series, she's my favorite video game character. I like her personality, and you have to admit that she's just cool with that Fusion Suit. (Or Power Suit, but I decided to go with the Fusion Suit for this RPG). Anyway, yeah, I mainly wanted a change and I also just really like Samus. . . . If you can't tell from my new banner and avatar, heh.
