Anywho - about the "aliens". What are you defining as an alien? Another species that has like spaceships and an advanced knowledge - or just other living beings? Little green guys, or little green plants?

I think the galaxies contain more than we will ever be able to fathom - and that includes life outside this planet. ^_^

Lol I always thought that aliens would look exactly like us. Well its not that hard to imagine it if you think about it. If there was another planet out there that actually was simmular to earth then its very possible. I guess I would say that I do, to a certain extent.

Therer are 9 (or 10) planets in our solar system. there are possibly millions or billlions of solarsyystems in our galaxy. and i dont want to think of how many galaxies are in our universe. whether they are little green men, or cow-things or humans on another planet. there has to be other life in the universe. i am sure there are species way more adavanced than us and species way behind us. there could even be species like us. if you think that there is not life in the universe... ther have got to be another billion planets with the right conditions- and therer could be a trillion lanets with the "wrong" condition that may be thriving with an uncountable populace... i am definitely a Yes.

I have the theory that humanity [as it is on Earth] is the most advanced species that currently exists in the Cosmos, simply because [by now], strategetically they would have publically introduced themselves- the 'fear' of aliens stems from the secrecy that they put on themselves.

Therefore I believe we are the ones looking, not the ones waiting to be found.

[Yes, in essence. o.O]

One does not know, till one explores. I doubt there are aliens though, life would be hard, and there's no gravity in space, ect.. but I don't believe in Extra Teraestrial (ET) it just doesn't make any since.

Glad you clarified on what types of aliens....

"Yeah, like, there's this dudeat the 7-11, right? He, like, doesn't even speak English! Whoa! Call Agent Mulder!"

Anyways....

Not only is it mathematically certain that there are aliens, that same math tells us that we will never contact each other. Oh, well.

No Gravity in space???? i think we are talking about life on other planets... ever heard of planets. you know big balls of dirt, ice, gas etc that spin around in space- that have GRAVITY!!! i am sorry i dont get what the %#*% you mean by that post. and y does the probable existence of other life in the universe not make any SENSE? i think you could define that post better...

%#*% means oath by the way- swearing is vulgar- hehehe

Ah well one of the big questions almost everyone asks themselves...And few have a concrete answer to...Me being one of them :D

With all the wonders out there in the universe...The shear size of it all (Black holes the size of are milkyway galaxy and bigger eating up other galaxies anyone?) I couldnt imagine NONE of them would have life...

Now intelligent life is another thing all together...If we are indeed the only intelligent species in the universe that begs the question...WHat are we here for as a species...Are we destined for something great or just to destroy...Shrugz I guess time will tell...Ill be long dead but time will tell :p

i think i am one of the people who says "when i see it i will believe it". i mean in my imagination as long as they dont hurt us they can exist. but i hope if we ever make contact and for some reason they want to hurt us, i am dead, like natural causes kind of thing. nevertheless i agree with arkadyz, as for intellegent life out there who knows?

what i believe is that there are an infinite amount of different life species outside of our planet... only they are in diferent plans and have diferent density than ours, so yeah, i believe there is alien life... just think about it, what would be the logic of all this universe for just us, insignificant beings? i mean, how ridiculous would that be? we are not alone, for sure...
you know, some psychographated books or whatever word you have there for it, say that every planet has their own life form, but in diferent spiritual plans... like, what we here would call ghosts... or spirits... and that each one is a learning process, and that none can comunicate with others by simply "looking" at them... so yeah, that explains what i believe in...

HAHA, I know that is bad, but I laughed to myself also! Well, at least I am not the only one! HA, j/k, but yeah I did laugh out loud!!!

I always think there could be so I put maybe, mainly b/c I have never seen proof...I mean that is kind of a contraversal answer considering how many people, including myself are Christians, but there is writen proof of both but still I have to say maybe, not really yes, but not no either! I agree there is too much space in our universe and outside of ours that we haven't seen to think we are alone.

Oh, and I noticed, Baron Samedi, you had put "There are 9 (or 10) planets..." What is the 10th??? I mean I have heard there is but don't know anything about it....is that that Planet X or something!?

Yeah, something like the planet X, that only appears sometimes and can't be detected any other way while it doesn't appear... Very odd... And also, some scientists say that there are inumerous planets in our galaxy... I've heard there is also a planet Y... On Discovery Channel I saw...

Dark death- i havnt heard about y but that sounds interesting- and yes kaola su i was referring to the infamous planet x- which they say is the virgo planet and have called- uuum Thunder or something??? i cant remember- i think it is the name of some god from the greek pantheon or something- and aliens basically have to exist. there HAS to be other lifeforms on the planets in this universe. esp. as it is expanding rapidly- apparently...

There has to be aliens, or other beings, in this universe.. or is there a million universes? I don't know.. there has to be other life in this whole space. It's a bit weird that just one tiny planet has all life existing.

So. Yes. I think there is.

Yeah, what are we in this universe? Sand grains? No, even less... Damn, the universe is too darn biiiiig...
Hmm, I didn't see that thing of the planet being called Thunder or something... All I saw was that it disappears completely from human sight at some part of the time, and at some other, it is back... Weird uh?

I think alien life does exist. It's possible there are beings out there who think, feel, and reason. But what's even more possible is that there are single-celled organisims out there that are more resilient in harsh environments.

i agree RicoTranzrig. scientists dismiss many planets as unsuitable for life. as we know it. there may be organisms out there who have adapted to such conditions. there are fish at the very bottom of the sea who should not be there. according to scientists nothing could of livd that deep, in those conditions. but some do and they thrive. so what i am saying is that all planets should be checked for life. just becasue the conditions are wrong for us does not mean something could not survive there.

I don't need proof to believe in something that's so obvious. After all, all math and logic points to that. However, unless a miracle happens, we may never meet them (or they meet us). The size of the universe is big enough as it is, and it just keeps growing and growing. Not only that, but we don't know where to start looking, especially since we have no damn clue as to how other species live.

Whenever I read one of these topics, I tend to imagine people in a faraway planet denying our existence, "because there's no proof".
