James
Well, I tend to feel that given the size of the Universe...it would be quite surprising if there actually weren't any other species on other planets. I heard an interesting analogy about our galaxy a few years ago. It said that within this one galaxy, there are as many stars as there are grains of sand on the Earth. When you consider how many individual grains of sand are on the Earth...and you consider that it's just in our ONE galaxy...and there are countless billions of galaxies...well, you get my point. I think it would be absolutely bizarre if this was the ONLY planet out of an almost-infinite number to bear life. Considering that I feel that religion (ie: the account of creation) is a man-made account (and one produced thousands of years ago, at a time when man had no knowledge of his environment), it simply doesn't factor into my thought at all. There is evidence of water on Mars for example...and I think it's quite likely that fossilised life (or evidence of life) might be found. If that happens, it would debunk a lot of human myths about Earth, for sure. And that's a good thing; becoming more educated about one's environment can only be beneficial, I'd say. So yes, I guess my answer to this is "yes". But it's really hard to say; I don't think any of us are really qualified to answer in terms of how realistic this idea is. You'd have to talk to an astronomer who knows a bit more about it. But generally, I think it would be very remarkable if Earth was the only inhabited planet out there.
Teknomanfan
i believe that somewhere in space there will be another life-form. I think that that probably will be so but i don't really believe in those UFO stories about people getting kidnapped and so. i think that that is just a way for those people to get attention
Senor Ding Dong
Yeah, because they're aren't any other forms of life, other than humans & animals. And what's the use for the other 8 planets?
Hinata
Hmmmm life in other words.... Well seing that we on earth have only scanned about 1/10th of your universe I seem to think that there may be a few billion other species or humaniod creatures out ther. Who knows Earth may have been colonized by an alien race and our people brought here a long time ago....hey it can happen. But seeing that there is a large possiblity of another race of beings out there. How do you think they may react to us...or we to them. Seeing that we are a people who shoot first and think later do you think we could ever accept the fact that ther are others out there? Would we see them as a threat or a chance to explore the furthest reaches of our universe. Or would we try to use their technilogical advances as a chance to further ourselves and then turn it arouns and use it against them? Seeung how I would love to go to outer space and see each and every galaxy, I would hate to see what we as humans would do with that power? Which would be the next in our evolution to get run over or used..... But sorry to get all scientific.... I do personally believe that their our others out there and not only are we searching for them but they are searching for us. And who knows a few may already have come and been amoung us....... REMEMBER AREA 51...REMEMBER ROSWELL!!!!!!
Jesus Chicken
Hmm. I think I'll just have to say yes with that one and justify it with a Monty Python quote. "...And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space, 'cause there's bugger all down here on Earth". You know it's true.
Boba Fett
I agree with James that it would be highly unlikely if other life, didn't exist out there somewhere. I also think that is highly unlikely that this life will be close enough to have any kind of relationship with. So, for all I care, if I never see the aliens they're not there.
OtakuSennen
Well, in all the millions, billions (Really, infinite if you think like that) of galaxies, meaning so many more planets.. There's got to be a planet with a climate close enough to Earth's.. I mean, they found those microsopic fossils on Mars, which had water, right? Those existed at one point. Then wouldn't it make sense if those little fossils also lived on another planet that didn't freeze up that they would have survived and evolved into an advanced race? So yeah, I believe in aliens. Angelus
yes givin the vastness of space itself the probability of there being some other life forms other than that of earth the chances are pretty high. And even if the aliens were just some random bug or low level plant life, that could still be classified as an alien organism.
RPGchick
This is for all those who referred to the Bible in attempt to prove that aliens do not exist. If you look in Genesis, the book talks about giants. People who have studied the Bilbe state that these were mental giants. Beings who were stronger that the humans mentally and controlled them. It goes on about how this begot that for a while and then comes to say that God wiped them off the face of the earth. These mental giants were said to be the Atlantians, whose city is said to be underwater (the Great Flood?) Researchers believe that these people were aliens. Also, referring to the Bible, it says that God created Adam and Eve. When they were forced out of the Garden of Eden, they had two sons, Cane and Able. Well, one killed the other, and was banished away from his family by God. Later, he married an iron workers daughter whom he met in a city. Where did the iron worker come from if God only made Adam and Eve? Were did all the people in the city come from(and the city had to be pretty big to have an iron worker in it.)? All these people had to have come from somewhere. Our decendants may have come from another planet. Also, I was wathcing on a show last night that ancient drawings have been found in caves depicting people standing on the ground looking up at objects that look suspiciously like the UFO's that we have been spotting. Some pictures even show beings getting off the UFOs and presenting gifts. Some of these pictures are over 4,000 years old. Weird, huh?

In my opinion, that gives near-solid evidence on the proof of aliens.. Unless they are shooting stars.. Or maybe just dreams people had.. Or some other logical explaination.. Star I Am Not
In short, yep, I believe there are aliens, somewhere out there. Maybe they're not intelligent in the way we define intelligence, but they're there. For all we know, the other planets in our little Solar System may be inahbited. We just don't know it. How do you know the aliens on, say, Venus need water or withstandable heat or oxygen to survive? Maybe they're just so infinitely small that our minds can't even comprehend them, let alone detect them. Maybe there are still people living on Mars, they're just very well hidden. Maybe there's another form of intelligent, sentient life in Earth, apart from humans, but we just don't know it. Can we know for sure? Probably not. Razzamataz
yes...there are...in a galaxy with billions(if not trillions) of stars in it...each one of those stars is capable of havingplaents orbit it, and some of those planents may have the right conditions for life...and there are more galaxies outside of ours each with stars in them and they may have planets that may have the contitions for life on them. and there are billions of trillions of galaxies with the same qualities...I feel it's rather ignorant to think that WE are the only for of life in this universe...I'm kinda doubtfull about humans from other planents though...humanoid MAYBE (walks on two legs, has arms...etc...) but I'm not too sure about it
Tasrai
Originally posted by InuyashaDeamon Do you belive in (outerspace)Aliens?
Juna I'm with you...I love it when I laugh out loud to my computer. ^_^ But to answer your question. Of Course there are aliens. No I do not mean little green men, but people just like us except on a different planet. It seems silly to me to say there aren't aliens.... I mean that's like walking outside in the middle of a bright sunny day and saying there is no sun and there is no such thing as light. It is as simple as that. Well that is my opinion... Chimera
Yeah, I mean, when people think of aliens, allot of them think of little green men with big eyes...oh and if you haven't figured it out yet, yes, I do believe.

There are litterally more stars than there are for each pepple on the earth:) Yes, I do beleive that there are aliens outside our planet. Life was one possilbe on Mars(i think), then its possible else where.

If life was possible on Mars why isn't it now? There is no water. Did you ever stop to think why humans have always lived on earth and when we sent out space probes and shuttles there weren't any humans on Saturn or Mars? I think if there were aliens in this solar system or at least liveable life on other planets for us, we would already have discovered them or be living else where. If humans could live on other planets think of all the people. crap. we already have alot of people.but I'm getting rather of topic so I'll stop now. Tix
I'm sure there's aliens from others galaxies for sure. How do you expect all those pictures of ufos, okay there's maybe some of them that are fake but still and what do you say about Area 51...
