Sakhi put her hand toward the pedestal on which the Gem stood.
Tala clicked her claws on the marble floor. Instantly, the air before Sakhi turned a blazing green and gold.

"Typical forcefield." sighed Sakhi. She produced a vial out of her belt. Uncorcking the vial, she poured pink liquid out on to the floor where the forcefield ended. The boundary crackled sharply and the liquid turned a brilliant shade of crimson.
"Lots of fire spells." Sakhi said. "Scattering of traps and illusions."
"Impressive." Tala said dryly. "Now what do you propose to do?"

"You tell me." said Sakhi. "Or does your favor to Rath expire when you can't do anything else?"
"I'm supposed to help you get the Gem itself, assasin!" Tala screeched. "Don't you dare get smart with me!"
Sakhi frowned. "Fine then, tell me. I'm being nice enough to ask you civilly."
"I'm sure." Tala said. "Only a gryphon can cut through the forcefield, or something gryphon made."
Tala held up an enormous talon. Sakhi looked at it, unsure.

Tala sighed. "Don't you know why Rath helped me, assasin?"
Sakhi eyed the forcefield and the gem. "She had her Seer forsee this event?"
"Seer can't see this far. She helped me and used me to her advantage." said Tala. "She took something from me that gryphons only give to the choicest of people: my talon."
"She wanted a claw?" asked Sakhi.
Tala nodded. "Her sword is a weapon forged from the magic of a gryphon's bodypart;in this case, my talon."

Sakhi gasped. "If I can use your talon to make something like a sword, I could..."
"Not for you." Tala snapped. Instead, she shook a feather.
"Place this on your arrow, assasin, you'll break through the forcefield."
Sakhi nodded. Delicately, she drew a bright tipped arrow and placed the feather on the shaft where in melted right in. She held out her left hand and there appeared a sturdy bow.
"One forcefield, going down."

Cassandra left the room with Daniel and Sakura. They got on the elevator to their rooms. It was in the Liberty Suite. Cassandra's special room. It had up to 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 3 main rooms- a den, living room, and family room, 2 balconies, a large kitchen and dining room, a game room, and a private room. Sakura and Daniel looked at it in awe. They looked at each other, dropped their weapons on the couch and ran to each room. Cassandra put the swords on a stand and sat on the couch. She reached for her laptop and scanner. Her scanner could scan and whole book without opening the pages. It could also find out where it came from in what century and all that junk. But what was more impressive is that the Liberty Suite, the only one, has a computerized voice. It was of a woman.

Cassandra: C.L.A.R.E. did I get any messages?
C.L.A.R.E.: No, you did not.

Out of the blue, Sakura and Daniel ran to Cassandra trying to drag her out of the place. She pulled her arms out of theirs and sat them down. She explained to them about the Suite.

Cassandra: You guys need to calm down. My suite is a computerized legal accessory reference edition, a.k.a. C.L.A.R.E. She helps me with many things. She can find people that I cannot find, places to go, vacation spots, "Apocolypses", and much more. She is here when I get back from somewhere, she is here when I need her, actually she is with me wherever I go.
Sakura: How do you figure? And is she like a robot?
Daniel: No. C.L.A.R.E. is a computer network that only Cassandra can use. She can bring C.L.A.R.E with her wherever she goes, because she put her on a communicator as well?
Cassandra: Bingo. And C.L.A.R.E. is also my mother, my secretary, my advisor, my teacher, my friend, my diary, etcetera. She is everything I need. Am I right?

A loud electronic voice sounded out again but it was not fuzzy and electronicy, it sounded like a real human voice was talking.
C.L.A.R.E.: Correct. Now, have you kids had any dinner?

Sakura and Daniel looked at each other. Cassandra smiled and laughed. She answered for them.

Cassandra: No, they haven't. What's for dinner? Wait, is today Thursay or Saturday? Hmm *checks calendar* It's Saturday. That means... OOOH!
Sakura: What is it? Is something wrong?
C.L.A.R.E.: Saturday is when I make a mystery dish and she guesses where it comes from. But also it's when we go to the Mystery Wheel! The Mystery Wheel chooses what Cassandra does today. Clean or play or do some other.

Sakura and Daniel looked at each other once again. They seemed confused but knew that they would learn.

David: It's probably too late to stop them from taking the gem.
Eric: But we might be able to get it back.
David: That depends o the layout of the area where the gem is.
Eric: Are there any ways to get out of that area other than through this room?
Aqila: No.
David: Good.
Eric: That means we have a chance.
David: I'll stay here to make sure they don't get out.
Eric: I'm going in after them.
David: It's possible that he can stop them, but not likely.
Eric: Which is why nobody must pass through this room. (He runs into the passage Tala and Sahki had entered)
