This is another Midieval RPG. Real weapons, prefer that chars' be something normal, but if not no biggy. Also, no weird *** weapons that are made of pork or anything dumb like that. The Setting is in a slum of a town called Paradise. Where the ruler of it takes all the peoples money for his own needs and ignores the populace. Basically the characters are just adventurers that happened upon the town. They won't know each other but they soon will I suspect.

Pritz walks through the wooden gates of the town. He keeps the hood of his cloak low over his face, so he can hide in it's shadow. Pritz, a warrior drow from a city deep underneath the earth. He lost his way when he got separated from his battle group and not able to find a way back underground.
He walked quickly through the run down streets, doing his best to avoid the grasping hands of beggars, trying to get money for food or booze. He either brushed them away or kicked them away when they grabbed ahold of his green cloak. When some of them got brave he risked to open his cloak and let them see his black leather armor, and two swords at his side. This usually caused them to back away quickly.
He looked up at the signs outside of some of the buildings. He saw a few mageware shops and no weapon shops. Finally he came upon a inn called the Drunken Elf Inn. He shook his head at the name but felt it was the best thing he could come up with. He entered it and saw a kitchen/dining room area with a bar. He walked up to the bar and bartender.
"How much are rooms?" he asks softly.
The gruff and tough tender looks at him hard. "Three gold pieces a night."
"Very well." He reaches down for a pouch and pulls out six gold pieces. "I need a room for two nights."
The bartender quickly snatches them away, thinking he had best get the money from this person when he offers it. He puts the coins in a till underneath the counter and brings back up a book.
"Just sign your name here," the tender says pointing a grizzly finger at a blank spot.
Pritz takes up a quill and signs his name: Pritz Panzerdragoon.
The tender reads the name and looks at Pritz, who still hadn't moved his cloak. The tender hands him a key and tells him where his room is. Pritz turns and heads up the stairs to his room.

Aria stormed into the desolate town, pushing the beggars out of her way. She reached the closest mageware shoppe and walked in.
"Hello, madam. Is there anything I can do for you?"
"Yes, I need ten blank scrolls. You wouldn't happen to have anything on Natural magics, would you?"
"Yes, we just recieved a book today. You would have to be a very practiced mage to use some of these spells. That will be twenty gold pieces."
"For all of it?"
"Yes." She had expected to pay twice that much. She paid anyway and went to a weapons shoppe.
"Excuse me, but do you have any long swords?"
"Yes, but I suggest something lighter for you, little lady."
"I'll manage. I would also like a sheath for that."
"Of course. That will be forty-five gold pieces. Are you goning on a quest or something?"
"Thank you." She paid and left, slightly surprised. Everything here was so much cheaper than it was at home. She headed for the inn. She walked in and went immeadiately to the bartender. "Has a man by the name of Pritz come in here?"
"Why would you want to know?"
Taking that for a yes, she shrugged. "No reason. He's just an old friend. Are there any rooms available?"
"Three gold pieces a night."
"Very well." She paid quickly. "I'm not sure how long I'll be here. But I have a lot more gold."
"Sign here," he said gruffly. Aria added her name to the blank page, but not before seeing the light markings of the back of the page before. "Aria Ravena?"
"Yes?" She turned to the bartender.
"Here's you key. And no one will take your room. Just pay before you leave in the mornings."
"Thank you." With that, she sauntered hautily(sp) up the stairs.

Pritz laid back in his bed comfortably. It was a cheap room, but it was more comfortable than the rocks he had been sleeping on. He closed his eyes and wondered how everything had been going in his home. It had been about ten years since he had gotten lost. He had long ago given up on trying to get home, everyone probably has taken him for dead.
"And I could have been there king one day." he mutters to himself softly as he looks up at the ceiling. He looked out the small window in his room and saw several run down buildings. "Well I wonder what this towns story is..." He got out of bed and went over to the window and looked even more into the town.
"I'll have to ask around....."

OOC: okay.. I took the pic off... it was just darn annoying...

Aria opened the door to her room and looked around. "This entire city is a dump. How dare they call it Paradise?" She opened the window and stowed her new sword by her bed. Then she took out a spellbook and began practicing a few of the more advanced ones. She had been there for only a few minutes when she heard someone leaving the room next to hers. She jumped up and ran to the door. It was one she had come here for. "Excuse me. Would you happen to be Pritz Panzerdragoon?" He nodded. "I am Aria Ravena, a mage and former apprentice of the great sorceress Diana," She continued imperiously. "I had heard of you and wanted to know if you could train me in swordsmanship and natural magics."

He stared at her in disbelief, "How did you hear about me? I didn't think I was all that much of a popular figure on the surface?"
He felt a little unnerved by the fact that someone had heard of him, and that the person wasn't out to kill him, or another drow.
"And why do you want me to teach you all this?"

Aria blushed a little. "I'm not very good at magic. I can do Locating spells and make magical maps, but other than that, nothing. I was trying to find a powerful elf that might take me as their pupil. That's how I found you. I'm also one of an ancient line of mages, sorcerers, and enchantresses. And my family expects nothing short of perfection from me when it comes to magic. They still think I'm with Diana, but she dismissed me. So I decided to find a new teacher. Will you take me as your pupil? Please?"

Pritz sighed and rubbed his eyes. He looked at the pleading girl and felt sorry for her.
"Very well. I shall take you as a pupil. Though, I'm not sure how well I will teach you, I've never had a student before... but I will try my hardest to help you." He said with a smile.
Aria smiled happily gave him a quick hug.
"Okay no more hugs." Pritz said pushing her away gently. He thought this is going to take a while.

Karl van Osterwald muttered to himself as he trudged through the muddy, rundown streets of Paradise. Despite looks from petty thieves, his armor, the longsword slung across his back, and the shield baring the crest of the Order of the Dragon stopped them from attacking. He opened the door to a small inn, called the Drunken Elf and hailed the barkeep.
"Innkeeper! I need a room for the night!"
"Uh, yes sir.."
He sat down and ordered a meal, glancing around the room

He sucked in a breath and looked at her. "Your guess is as good as mine. I have no idea where to start. As you know I don't have any experience in training, or teaching a person." He had a feeling inside of him.
"How about we get some food, and discuss what you know, what you want to know, and try to learn more about each other. I'm sure we've both got some stories to tell." He extended his arm and bid her to go before him, which she did, and he followed her down the steps.

Pritz and Aria went downstairs, where Aria promptly ordered their finest wine. He gave her an odd look. "Is there something you're not telling me?"
She considered this for a moment. "Yes, several things actually. You won't go back on your word about training and teaching me will you?"
"No." He thought this would be a odd question to ask. "Why?"
She took a deep breath. "The spirits of the dead, of any race, find me to be an ideal vessel to communicate with their still living relations through. I tend to have...mood swings, if you will, when that happens. Sometimes, even extremely violent. But if I had training that wouldn't happen right?" She looked at him expectantly. "You won't leave me, will you?"

He blinked a few times, taken completely aback by the question. Was he teaching this girl or marrying her? He thought over the question a few seconds when he finally produced an answer.
"Well I don't see why I would. You told me before anything happened.. so no harm no foul." He lead her to a empty table and got her sat down, not paying attention to the happy smile she had. He sat across from her and opened the wine, pouring both of them a glass. He didn't know exactly what the inn had in the way of food, and he was a little scared of trying it, but if she ordered something he probably would too.
"There, now that we both have a glass of wine, and are seated, and probably soon to buy a meal that may assault our stomachs, why don't we get to, understand each other better?"
He glanced about for a second, wondering if he should, not sure of the other customers reactions to what they may soon see, and he was most worried about the warrior he saw over at a different table. He decided that he might as well try. He reached up with his gloved hands and pulled back the hood of his cloak, showing off his white hair, and red eyes, and ebony skin.
"You said you wanted an elf to teach you magic, you found the best kind there is, the drow are adept magic users."

"Uhh...could you excuse me for a second?" There were spirits in the area that would want to kill Pritz and that wouldn't make a very good first impression. She ran back up the stairs to her room and sat on the side of the bed. This can't be happening again... Every time she thought she had met a capable teacher, she ended up killing them. She thought this time would be different and had used a spell to find someone she had never heard of. But still spirits wanted to kill him, out of mere hatred for another drow. She sighed. The spirit seemed to have gone. She returned to the table and sat down again, as happy as she had ever been. "Sorry about that. I...uhh...forgot something...my money...in my room."

Not having the same psychic abilities as his brother, he was still able to figure she was lying, but did not say anything.
"You wouldn't have had to worry about money. I guess since I'm the teacher I can pay for anything. It's no big deal really."
Aria bit part of her lower lip, enough that she could feel it but not so much that he would tell. And she thought: If he only knew.

"I'll tell you the real reason some other time, but right now, I'm hungry." She smiled at him, still trying to hide her concern. "So what's on the menu?"
I want him, Aria. You'll have to give in sometime. Just like you have with everyone else.
Aria gasped and glanced around to try and find the voice. She realized what was happening. Not again! Go away! I don't want to hurt anyone anymore! If you hurt him, I'll...I'll...
You can't do anything, Aria dear. You know you aren't a very good mage. You know you will never be able to defeat me...

Pritz knew something was wrong from the sudden change of expression.
He asked in a low voice. "Is something wrong? I've known you for about a hour and you have been acting very strange." He was actually feeling worried for her. Not knowing what was wrong usually bothered him. He hoped she would be truthful, so that he may help.

"I'll be fine in a few minutes. I...just can't tell you right now. There's too much happening. I'll be in my room if you need me. And I'm not as hungry as I thought." She went back to her room, still uneasy about almost losing control. This spirit was very determined and had been following her for most of her life. And all it wanted was the destruction of everything around it.

Pritz bit his lip and watched her leave, knowing that something was very wrong with her, but he didn't know what it was, and wasn't going to push her for an answer. He stood and talked to the tender.
"Prepare two of your finest meals. Send one of them up to Aria Ravena's room, make sure she knows it's there, but don't disturb her anymore than you need too. And give me the other meal." The tender nodded and went back into his kitchen. Pritz looked up the stairs and hoped that Aria would be alright.

There was a knock at Aria's door several minutes later. She walked over and opened it a little.
"Elf downstairs wanted this brought up to you. It's already been paid for."
"Thank you. Here's something for your troubles. And tell Pritz that I said thank you and I want to see him later." She handed him a gold coin and closed the door. How nice of him! He even paid for it!
I still want him, Aria. I'll leave you alone if you just give this last one. I've been kind to you so far...
No! You can't hurt him! He's my teacher and it would be wrong to do anything to him! Leave me alone!
Aria, he can't help you. I'm the only one who can. Don't you believe me?
There was another knock at her door. She ran to open it, knowing it would be Pritz.

She sighed and sat on the edge of the bed. "I don't think I can be your pupil. There's this one spirit who has followed me almost all of my life. It refuses to move on to its final rest and has something against just about everyone I've met, including you. So I'll repay you for everything and leave you alone. I think I'm going to go back home in the morning." She sat there, silently hoping he might still teah her, even with all the problems she might cause.

Pritz smiled and looked at her. "Spirits themselves cannot hurt people, it's the person the spirits communicate through that hurts someone. The only kind of spirits that are able to harm the living are poltergeists, and there are ways of sending them to where they belong.
"That was your first lesson, you can still be my pupil if you want. I've never let the living or dead get in the way of what I can do, and neither should you." He put a reassuring hand on her shoulder.
"Do as you must, but if you decide to leave, I want you to know that if you ever change your mind, and are able to find me. I will still teach you what I can."

She smiled and hugged him again, but remembering what he had said before, immeadiately let go. She sat back down, thinking about what he just said. He was right, of course, but it still didn't make things for her much better. That meant she really had killed all those people. Hopefully, that wouldn't matter anymore. She would make a fresh start right now.
"Thank you so much, Pritz. And I'm going to stay, no matter what."

Smiling once again, "Good, and anything of your past, just remember, it's just that. It's in the past and you can do nothing to change it. And if the spirits ever bother you again do not hesitate to tell me. Eventually, we may be able to use your communication with the spirits as a way to convince them to move on to the next stage of existence."
Still smiling he hopes deep down that he is capable of helping this woman.
