Parappa & Lammy

I was searching through my old Playstation games, when I found my old Parappa The Rapper and Um Jammer Lammy games. I know they were kind of corny and the songs weren't the best I've ever heard and the graphics were literally 2-D, but they were some pretty fun games to play. Plus the songs were a little catchy. I liked Um Jammer Lammy more, though. The button timing was better, and I liked having two versions of the same levels (Parappa's rap remixes to Lammy's rock songs).

So what do you all think of these relatively old games? Fun? Annoying? What?

In the rain or in the snow I gotta have the funky flow- Rosta Frog:p

Parappa the Rappa was an awesome game i've been meaning to pickup the PS2 sequel but I never do. I played the PSX Parappa and beat it like in 2 hours my favorite level was the one with the rosta frog. I have heard in japan there is a Parappa animated series I dont know if i'd be interested in watching a animated series. I do enjoy playing the games cause I cant help but laugh at there corniness and they give you a quick fix of entertainent.

I liked both games because of their catchy tunes and quirkiness, but I prefer Parappa the Rapper over Um Jammer Lammy.

I'll never forget some of the tracks, like Chop Chop Onion's dojo stage. Kick, punch, it's all in the mind. And, who could forget rapping in order to advance in line outside of a restroom? Genius. I found the cinematic that resulted from failure especially cool.

What I loved most was, how ordinary situations became so special. The game's simplicity and fun factor really meshed and helped the product become something special.

Lammy was sort of a cheap offshoot. I didn't like how she was placed into stereotypical female situations, like taking care of babies and such. I still liked the game overall, but it wasn't the classic that its predecessor was.

Being able to unlock Parappa was a definite plus though.

Parappa the Rapper was awsome! How could you not love Chop Chop Master Onion and his dojo song?

Kick, Punch, Its all in the Mind,
If ya wanna test me I'm sure you'll find,
That the moves I teach ya,
Are sure to beat chya,
But never the less get a lesson from teacha!

Err, thats all I can remember. I also played the PS2 sequel, and it was pretty good.

Thats pretty much all I have to say.:p
