Fall Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 ...:therock: Ha..haha. Have a look at this. An eternal life device.. or eternal life devices. Apparently, this dude has found the thing inside all of us that makes us age, and has invented a device that stops it. Thus, creating a method for anyone to "stay physically young forever". Sure, if it was atleast on television, with someone talking about it in real life and confirming they worked, I'd be amazed, if not a little. But I mean, geez.. something like this would have to put up a world-wide craze. Everyone would be going for them. But instead, there's this one little website putting them up for sale- it even tells you how to make your own! Wow!.. Anyway, this has got me thinking aswell.. would there be something like this (more reliable atleast) in the future, to slow the aging process down, or let us live forever? Or would we be able to live longer by being perfectly healthy on our own? All this crap has got me pretty sprawn out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Solid Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 i personally woudnt want to, anyway, i want you to look carefully at what is being wrote so you will understand my problem, a year ago i have been in a very interesting class and when i suggested something very alike my techer told me and explained y it wasnt possible to maintain a young body thus living forever: "the body will be young, our wounds will heal, but later on our brain will not be able to handle the pressure of maintaining the fully healed body, thus our body will start to collapse, and prodably we will have brain damage..." i remember he told something that our brain works in waves, wich changes in years, only by creating a device that can keep an energy flow using our brain waves changes and fitting to them, only than we can live eternal life... i trust his words to be correct but people must see many options in life, the method should be checked for a decade on a certain person, or on a scard person for much time, only than we will see the consequances of such a machine... but who wants to live forever anyway?! Lady Macaiodh Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 I hope his device combats gravity, too, otherwise there will be a lot of immortal people unable to move due to osteoporosis and their own skin dragging on the ground. Their organs will probably turn to mush, too. I'd live forever if I could have eternal youth as well as life... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ianthestampede Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 We'll all look young and youthful but we'll all have alziemerz, and osteoporosis! I don't think i'd want to be young all my life, hell i'm just starting to get old enough to taste adulthood! I woud not like to stay alive for ever, it would be like on Cowboy beebob "sympothy for the devil" you'd see so much, and realize so much you could minipulate people! So no, i would not want to stay youthful forever! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Semjaza Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 This is a really, really old site heh. The most amusing thing I remember about it was the quotes. The guy has said some really bizarre things. There's actually an Alex Chiu random quote generator somewhere online. If anyone knows that flash movie "We Drink Ritalin" that I kept showing to people a long time ago, he's the big dancing head guy in it. He's even wearing the bracelets. Dan L Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003
Originally posted by Fall ...:therock: Ha..haha. Have a look at this. I mean, sure you can get rid of aging, but there are a LOt of other ways to die, and chances are it'll get you eventually. And as for those that don't die.. well, I'd imagine that the death going on around them would get pretty depressing if they lost loved one after loved one and so on. And wouldn't it get pretty boring? Now eternal life is a different story. There's a distinct difference between what religions believe to be "eternal life" and what greedy people think of as eternal life, which is just merely living forever on Earth. And who wants to live forever in this world anyway? w.r.t. the question at the end of the post, no, I don't think it'll ever be possible to eliminate death, or even aging. Maybe it'd be possible to slow it down a little, but we all age, and we all die eventually, whether you believe there's something afterwards or not. PiroMunkie Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 He has a "patent" on it... yet teaches others how to make it. All I would have to do is change the design and I could call it my own. o_O Oh well, it is pathetic anyway. I would only opt for eternal life if I was to never be alone, meaning there would be another who lived eternally as well. I do not care much about youth. You can be old and still party, lol. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mitch Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 I'm certain you all realize on thing about eternal life and mortality. Perhaps I'll reiterate? To be mortal is what makes us human. Eternal life would turn everything around; it would do so especially in our society's function today. We wouldn't be able to have childern. We'd probably have suicides, an entire different look at them. We wouldn't be able to enjoy life as a passing, momentary thing. Life would just not be life. It just wouldn't. I wouldn't take eternal life for the hell of me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SOmeopne might find a more reliable way of being "immortal" in the future, but personally, i wouldn't try it, b/c You'd never die, and noone wants to die, so most people will try it, and then the whole world will get too crowded b/c nobody would die, and then more peeps will have babies who wont die, and then we will all run out of food, and we will starve and be crowded. Yup, if you think about it that way, you wont want there to be any immortality. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TheShinje Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 I was thinking at the time I saw this thread, is it going to be as ridiculous as that magnet dude? turns out it's him. I can't believe that a few magnets on your so called "magnetic poles" the pinkies and the toes, could give you eternal life, this dude would have a peace prize by now! I wouldn't want eternal life in this world anyway, as a christian, i have the hope of eternal life in heaven, not here, waking up to the same old problems, same old bombings and Religious feuds, same old crap. Fall Posted June 6, 2003 Author Share Posted June 6, 2003 Well, if it was true, I wouldn't even. Think about it. Staying young, yet knowing you should be older, would really bugger it up. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(<AA>) Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 No, I wouldn't really use it, simply 'cuz I can't wait to die. I would kill my self but A)Its a one way ticket to hell B) I'm a sissy... Anyway I don't belive life is worth it anyway. I just wanna get married, have 2 kids, and die at the age of 55. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Juu Posted June 6, 2003 Share Posted June 6, 2003 I don't understand why people are so determined to live forever. oo; You live, and you die. While you're alive, you should just try to enjoy it, and experience as much as you can. Besides, if you gain immortality, you'll stay alive while all of your friends age and die. Also, you'll have to hold onto all those sad memories of the world...etc, etc. I wouldn't want it whether it worked or not.
That guy has the same name as the guy who likes me at school. oo;;;
 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
